I'm so sorry for posting late, we are traveling this weekend for a hockey tournament. Heading into the final game this morning, which is unexpected as we have a number of beginner players....it's all very exciting! Im so proud of this team, they've come a long way and have wonderful positive attitudes. Their success is a direct result of team play.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Gm yall.
First off, the high school I graduated from way back when, got into the football state playoffs. It's been along time co.ing for these kids and they so deserve it. So we are all excited here for them.
Secondly, yesterday was just not a good day overall for me. I overdid it yesterday and ended up in a lot of pain. Of course rain has been in the forecast and hasn't helped that. And then I tripped and fell on the way back from the mailbox last night. So needless to say I'm sore, stiff and banged up but I will survive.3 -

~~~ ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENT ~~~@lindamtuck2018 has just joined the Goal Zone!
Linda has been the Downsizers captain since team formation several years ago, and before that she was captain of the Shrinking Assets (now the Shape Shifters). And on top of being an incredible captain, she has been an all-around marvelous member of F2F!
Send her your love, say congrats, and let's all do a little bit extra this week to honor Linda's hard work.4 -
We're missing 7 weigh-ins for the week:
@ganival
Hi jessica sent you mail msg, will be taking a break from weigh ins
@ganival I will ask the MODS to move you to the Support team. Let me know when you want to resume active status. Thanks! FYI, unless you're on someone's friend's list, those IMs can be a little wonky at best. Always best to post in the chat thread, so then even if one of us misses it, the other Captain won't...
Hey isn't it @Lianatherunner 's day for the Marathon? I hope it went fantastic! She did great in the weigh in too - way to score for the team this week!
I was watching for her announcement...thought perhaps she was behind on reporting her daily steps in the challenge due to her training/competing status...bet she did great! Can't wait to read her report.
@jessicakrall8 I would like to be excused from weigh in this Wednesday, thanks!
Good morning Shape Shifters. I did not have a good weekend. Saturday afternoon I realised I was scratching myself a lot and being itchy. This got steadily worse and when I went to bed around 21:00, I saw I was covered in red, itchy bumps, likely because of an allergic reaction. It was impossible to fall asleep; it was itching so bad I wanted to take a knife to my skin and at other points it felt like my skin was literally on fire and being burned off. It was horrible and it kept moving to different body parts. I ended up covered in bumps from my ankles to my neck. At 1:10 at night after failing to sleep for over 4 hours, I hopped in the shower because I read that could help. It worked a little bit, but not for very long. I ended up getting around 5 hours of really crappy sleep that night.
On Sunday all stores are closed here, except for the 2 grocery stores. Of course I went looking for something that could help in case it would happen again. The first store had nothing, but the second one actually had allergy medication, so I was really glad about that. Around 15:00 the itching started to flare up again and the bumps returned, so I took a pill. I can't swallow pills, so I chewed it with half a chocolate cookie. It was so gross it almost made me sick. Within like 20 minutes or so, all the itching was gone though, so it did a good job! I was absolutely exhausted and ended up going to bed at 18:00, sleeping for almost 12 hours. It is Tuesday morning over here now, and the itching has stayed away. I did order a drink variety of the medication as an alternative to the pills. I really rather not chew any of the pills again if I don't have to. The drink should arrive later today. I might not need it anymore, but I rather have it just in case. So yeah, not fun at all and I have no clue what caused the allergic reaction in the first place. I had a horrible headache all day on Monday as well, but today seems a bit better. My food has been a disaster because of all of it, so I am skipping the scale tomorrow. Happy Tuesday everyone10 -
@Pupowl that sounds miserable. I’m glad the pill worked and hope you figure out what caused it so you don’t have to suffer so much next time. Hugs3
Rush is on - I closed Home Goods last night until 10PM CST and close Wednesday night; I open Saturday morning at 8AM CST; Home Goods will stay open until 11PM CST starting next week until Christmas - I close 2 nights so it will be rough going6 -
Yikes! 😳 That sounds terribly uncomfortable, @Pupowl! I’m sorry to hear about your allergic reaction and loss of sleep. Have you narrowed down the cause after considering any new food, clothing, household products?
@LaurieWrobo - I hope your work goes smoothly and all the customers are kind during the holiday rush. I’m not a big shopper but I need some new bedding for our guest room. So, I might need to brave the crowds in the next week or two. I’ll be sure to shop at an ‘off’ time and not keep the employees too late when they are trying to close up. I guess you’ll have a lot of steps in the coming weeks! Keep up the good work @LaurieWrobo, @Pupowl, @frankwbrown, @murdog3t, and the rest of our Shape Shifter steppers!
@Pupowl , I just can't imagine how horrid thar was. But I'm glad you're doing a bit better. Sending love,hugs, and prayers.
Tuesday steps 3052.
First day at work but ended up coming home early. I'm in some pain. So Epsom salts with Acv in bath water to see if it helps some of the pain. It usually helps some.5 -
@SavageMrsMoose @PatriceFitnessPal @Armygirlarmyof1 ~ Thanks for the nice comments! I have the medication drink now, but so far so good. I have been thinking about what could have caused it, but there was nothing new, nothing changed, no others foods or soaps or anything so I really don't have a clue. Hopefully it was just a fluke or something.
@Armygirlarmyof1 Missing your steps for Monday
