HOW IT ALL WORKS: The November challenge runs for 5 weeks, from October 19 - December 2. F2F months always start on a Sunday and end on a Saturday, so adjust your calendars!
Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!
We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard.
To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):
If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or are moved to the Support Team for as long as you need to. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.
Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.
In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin!!

Hi Slimpossibles!
My name is Mica, and I live in southern New Hampshire on the seacoast. I live with my partner Rich and my cat Earl (Earl is my profile pic). I am 67 years old and I work part time as a bookkeeper in a plastics factory. At my heaviest weight I was 220. I lost 90 pounds between 2001 and 2003, and I struggled with gaining and losing 50 pounds over the next 15 years, but I've been maintaining in my goal range of 127-133 (center weight 130) since 2019. I do a "walk the year" challenge every year (walking 2023 miles in 2023, which is about 6 miles/day). My favorite exercise is riding a bicycle (outdoors) and my hobbies are birding and crochet. I have a lot of exercise equipment in my house so I am always able to maintain my workout schedule regardless of weather or season. I love these challenges because they keep me accountable!

MY INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I live in Southern California with my husband, cute one-eyed pirate pug named Daisy (7 yrs old) and pug pup name Violet who is a little more than 1 yr old. Up until my mid-20s, I was a healthy weight but then the mid-20s hit and along with that came medications that made me gain weight as well as poor lifestyle choices. For exercise, I recently joined the YMCA and I also recently bought a walking pad (like a more compact treadmill). I go to yoga and stretch classes and walk.
I have about 65 lbs to lose. My hobbies: reading, making artwork and crafts, photography, and cooking. I do straight-up calorie counting.
Now, it's your turn! Tell us about YOU!1 -
@19shmoo69 My MIL likes Seattle's Best. I like it, too. I am drinking some Costa Rican coffee my friend brought me back from Costa Rica. It's delicious! Good luck with the jump start, I had a friend who just did that for prep for a gastric sleeve surgery.
@laurelfit57 I do. That's why I mostly do my exercise on the weekends. I am glad your sauces came out well, they will come in handy! It looks delicious. I did get a pic, I'll post. It was a lot of fun and people got a kick out of it. I've never froze tomatoes but I hear they don't freeze well....sauces? Yes but not the tomatoes. Where was Vannie??? I think I missed something. I'm glad she's home! Awwwww Vannie!
@DrewsAnna I love the smell of really fresh, crisp air. Enjoy the time with your hubby and friends and good luck with Leslie Sansone!
@Neon_Ninja No problem, jump back in when you are ready, good luck with the issues!
@tammymccrady6278 Congrats on the loss!
Hi all. @Katmary71 messaged me and said she will be back soon. She's doing pretty good and I look forward to hearing from her again. @laurelfit57 has done a great job as a temporary motivator! In other news, how's everyone doing with the Spooky Fitness Challenge??? Only 4 more days! I had fun yesterday at work. Here is a pic of me dressed as DJ Dewey Decimal--- the world's first librarian-DJ! And a close-up of my nameplate that says READ. My mouth looks funny because I have a diamond (CZ) studded grill in. I am dressing up tonight to go out downtown with my husband and SIL. It should be fun.

@steffiebabiie what part of Australia are you in? I was on a cruise ship a few years ago and was lucky enough to touch down in some places in Australia. We spent a week in Sydney at the end. Such a beautiful, beautiful country!
@DrewsAnna your walk with Chipper sounds absolutely lovely. There is nothing like fresh snow on the mountains! What is Golo? It sounds like a fun night out with your friends to the pizza place.
@Neon_Ninja take good care of yourself and I hope all is well.
@Cornanda Gus is such a little cutey♥️♥️. Those bed heads get me every time. Vannie is getting a haircut on Monday, her bed head won’t be nearly as cute.🤣
@Tammymccrady yay huge congrats on the loss!
@micaroo4 it seems you are so solid at your maintenance weight, good for you!
@865jessica huge congrats on the loss!
@bethanie0825 congratulations on the loss!
@trooworld with that commute, you don’t have a lot of time for the living during the week when you get home! Such good news that @Katmary71 is on the road to recovery!! Believe it or not, tomatoes, freeze beautifully! You just can’t use them as you would in a salad or sandwich or whatever. They are good to make pasta sauce, pizza sauce etc. Vannie was just with my son and daughter-in-law for a few days :-). I love your costume!!! So funny.🤣🤣
Love the nails too!
My week has definitely been off track and I am off schedule. I spent all day cooking again today (I tasted way too many dishes) made up another big batch of marinara sauce, and Italian meatballs. Everything is done up into individual portions, and in my freezer, ready for the winter. I am now officially done cooking lol I am having my family over tomorrow and we are going to have an Italian feast. I am even going to try my hand at making focaccia bread. I am going to serve meatballs with marinara sauce and a roasted tomato pasta sauce. Fingers crossed, all will go well :-). I making everything from scratch. I was able to lighten up all the recipes, when I pull them out of the freezer I will feel pretty good about them.
I am getting back to the gym next week, I have already signed up for classes on Monday and Tuesday, I can’t wait!! I took Vannie out for a short walk this morning and it was actually pretty decent outside but I had already started things cooking on the stove so couldn’t go for too long. By the time I had finished up everything this afternoon, the wind was so cold even Vannie wanted to get home right away. Well… Tomorrow we are going for a fun agility match, so we should get in lots of exercise, and have a lot of fun at the same time! Hope everybody has a great Saturday5 -
Good morning Slims!
Rich is away this weekend. Sometimes I feel like it's so much easier to stay on track when he's away, but I think I'd rather struggle with food and exercise and have him here with me, than to have an easier time with food and exercise, but be missing him. He'll be back tonight.
We had some unseasonably warm days for the past 3 days, but now it's back to reality. The high temp today will be 30 degrees colder than yesterday. Yesterday, I had the A/C on; this morning I've turned the heat back on. Such is New England.

Hello,
My name is Veta and I live in NW Indiana. I'm a 49 year-old homemaker with 3 adult sons. I have a King Charles spaniel named Benny. In 2013, I did a challenge with my sister and lost 45 pounds in 12 weeks. Over the years I put on a few pounds here and there. Then January 2022, I quit smoking cigarettes and put on 20 pounds. I was back to my heaviest weight of 180 lbs. and I'm only 5 ft and 1/2 inch tall. People laugh that I include the 1/2 inch. Well, when you're this short every little bit counts...hehehe. This time, I decided to lose the weight for myself. My ideal weight is between 130 lbs. and 136 lbs. By eat fewer calories each day without intentionally restricting any nutrients, along with regular exercise should help pave the way to a healthy life. I will also avoid eating refined carbs and sugars, fried foods, and preservatives. As of recently, cooking new healthy recipes has become an enjoyable experience. I also enjoy listening to music, reading, and all that nature has to offer.
Let's make this month a success!

@865jessica @askewcr @19shmoo69 Congrats on the losses!
@DrewsAnna Good job with the workout. I'm glad you had fun with your friends.
@Veta2018 Welcome to the team!!! Would love to see a pic of little Benny! Congrats on quitting smoking.
@laurelfit57 No I don't. I absolutely hate that commute. Yes, @Katmary71 will be back soon! Oh I didn't know that about tomatoes. Good to know! I'm glad Vannie is home. Thank you! Your Italian feast sounds yummy. I hope the focaccia bread comes out well. Yay for getting back to the gym!
Hi all. This will be short, I only got 3 hours of light sleep last night, we stayed out until 1 am and then stayed up for another hour. I am TIIIIIIIIIRED. We had a lot of fun: lots of walking and going to different parts of the city. We danced and drank some drinks as well. I got over 11,000 steps before midnight and another 1,377 after midnight. I decided to wear my husband's Tigger costume from last year and it was a hit. I'm going for a walk with a friend who just had weight loss surgery this morning at 9:30. I do not feel like it.

I'm badnoodle, and I live in West Virginia with a couple of cats and an ever growing mountain of unfinished craft projects. The first three weeks of October were pretty rough for me in terms of diet, but I'd like to think I finished strong with one whole week without bingeing. Let me tell y'all, it got real close last night. I'd spent ten hours outside in the woods supervising student projects, and I was starving, but I had to stop by the grocery store. I totally bought chips and cookies with every intention of eating all of them in the car before I got home, but I bargained myself into drinking a coke zero first. I'm proud to say that junk food remains unopened, and destined to go to the grad student's Halloween party on Tuesday .🎉
My goals for November are to keep going to hot yoga class at least twice a week, and get at least 7000 steps a day, and to keep planning my lunches.

Hey everyone! Just thought I’d do a little re-introduction for anyone who missed my last one.I'm Stephanie, or Stevi (never Steph). I live on the Sunshine Coast in Australia, so I’m a day ahead of most of you, and my seasons are opposite. I’m originally from Orange County, California, but have been in Australia for around 8 years. This is definitely home now! I have two girls (daughter and stepdaughter) who are both 16 who motivate me to set a healthy example. My partner is also extremely supportive and encouraging, and I appreciate the hell out of him. Even when he eats an entire package of cookies in one day and doesn’t gain a gram.
Like a lot of people, I have a history of having a bad relationship with food, weight, and body image. My highest weight was around 100kg/220lbs, and with stress of my partner being diagnosed with bowel cancer at the start of the year, I had crept back up dangerously close to that. My partner is doing great and is cancer free (super rare tumor that was only in his appendix and hadn't spread) and I need to take care of myself now. I started back on my “get healthy” journey at the end of August 2023, after having not paid attention to what I was eating or intentionally exercising for a few years.
I’m working with a dietitian to get my calories and macros in the right place. I do roughly follow the mediterranean diet as this is just how I prefer eating, and I love intermittent fasting. While I prefer ADF (alternate day fasting), my dietitian has advised against that until I feel confident that I am able to get enough calories on my eating days and don’t have any overly high calorie days. For the moment, I have a 6-8 hour window daily and a calorie goal of 1400-1600 with a macro split of 40f/30p/30c, and no alcohol.
Even though I hadn’t been intentionally exercising, we are a pretty active family. On the weekends I can be found out hiking, at the beach, or riding dirtbikes.
I’m down 10.05kg/22.16lbs since the end of August, but most importantly, I feel better. Looking forward to the progress November brings!
Goals for November:
• log everything, every day!
• 6,500+ steps/day
• average of 20 active minutes daily
• stretching every day
• No Sugar November! (for me, this is only referring to added sugars. Natural sugars in fruit and vegetables don’t count. It extends to sweeteners, so none of the “sugar-free” substitutes. The only exception to this is my protein powder, which has stevia, but I can’t really cut that out 😅)
• No alcohol
• 4 weeks in the green

@micaroo4 it sounds like it is definitely the real thing with you and Rich♥️. I’m sure you will be happy when he is home tonight. Your weather in New England sounds the same as our weather in Alberta, huge variations in temperature.
@19shmoo69 congrats on the loss! Looks like switching it up was a good thing :-).
@Veta2018 welcome aboard! We highly encourage sharing of our pets on this team :-)! Huge congrats to you on quitting smoking, that is tough!
@Trooworld you are just so dang cute in that costume! Sounds like you guys had a super fun time, no wonder you are so tired today! The Italian feast was super yummy. I didn’t realize that I was supposed to start making the focaccia bread the night before, so that was a no go. It’s OK we had lots of food :-) :-)
@Sleepygirl79 love that downward trend you’ve got going on there!
Huge congratulations to everybody on the leaders board!
@badnoodle huge congratulations to you. Oh no benches this week! That’s huge! It’s a very good thing to have a plan for that junk food, you can say goodbye to it on Tuesday :-). I love your goals for the month!
@steffibabiie having to 16-year-old girls has to keep you very busy! Great goals for November!
This is going to be very short and sweet, I can barely keep my eyes open. I am disappointed with my gain this week, but not surprised. We went to the agility fun match today and I thought we were only supposed to do two runs, we actually did five! Vannie and I are both worn out. We were in a class of 10 dogs, anything from small terriers, border collies to Belgian Malinois. We had the fastest time and the most faults. The speed was totally credit to Vannie and the faults were totally on me. My brain can’t work as fast as Vannie‘s feet 🤣🤣🤣. I am supposed to be telling her what to do all the way around the course, she moves so dang fast I can’t think fast enough 🤣.
Back on track starting tomorrow, at the gym first thing in the morning for a spin class.5 -
Hi,
My name is Anna. I live in Wa. state across the pond from Seattle, and I'm kind of a homebody. I've been struggling with my weight for about 14-15 yrs. My first time on WW I lost about 35 lbs bac in 2008, and I've been yo-yoing ever since. I love exercising, but because of aches and pains, I'm not very consistent with that at all.
I am currently doing "Golo". I like it because it is eating whole foods, clean foods and eating 3 well balanced meals per day following the 2-1-2-1 plan. 2 proteins, 1 carb, 2 veggies & 1 healthy fat. The "Release" pills are a supplement that help with insulin resistant fat cells. There website is full of just about any kind of recipes you could want and they are good.
Today, I decided to relax and enjoy some football annnnndd, my Seahawks won. 💙💚🏈💚💙 Lol, I know it was because I wore my Seahawk slipper socks. 😂😂😂 I also stayed on my Golo plan. I'm a little short on my step goal, but tomorrow is a brand new day.4 -
@trooworld- I like your tiger costume and you are killing it on steps, way to go.
Hi, I'm Jessica and I live in East Tennessee. I'm a mom of three boys 12,6 and 4. I had a medical scare in April of 2022 when I got sepsis after a outpatient surgery and four areas of infection. It took some time to recover but it "Woke" me up. I realized I wanted to really live so I made a choice to take my health and life in my hands again. So I've been making changes, went to pt to work on physical strength, I saw a NP who does a weight loss/lifestyle management program and started getting bloodwork done and working with a GI doctor to understand why I've always had stomach issues. I figure it will take me 2 years to get where I want but I'm fine with that. It took years to get this unhealth so it will take time to get health.

🎉Congratulations to all last month winners! 🎉
@badnoodle - nice job resisting the temptation to eat chips and cookies.
@trooworld - love your costumes. I used to love to dress up for Halloween every year.
@steffibabiie - those are some great November goals.
@laurelfit57 - congrats to Vannie for being so fast. Benny is fast too. He can be such a show off some times.
@DrewsAnna - I spent my day relaxing and watching football too. Except the Bears did not win.
Benny thinks he wants what I'm eating...hehehe. He's not too sure about some of the foods I've shared with him lately. I think he's starting to like raw carrots though.

Morning all! Well this week I’m on nights and I’m just about ready for bed. It is dark and dreary out so I’m hoping it makes for a good sleeping day. I have a harder time when it is sunny and nice. My body wants to stay up and enjoy the sun. Lol. I will have to adjust my logs to nighttime and make sure I’m getting enough to eat. I just finished my log for last night and I didn’t eat enough but I wasn’t hungry either. My go to at night is cereal and not heavy meals so hopefully tonight is better. I an keeping my fingers toes and hell my whole body crossed to hit the big 50 mark this week. It’s a pound and half to get there so I know it’s achievable but on nights? Let’s hope. Well it sleepy time for me so have a great day everyone. Chat soon.4

Good Morning,
Hey everyone I am Sandy. I live in central Texas with my Hubby John and a dog Diesel and cat Tigger. We have 2 grown children with families of their own.
A little bit more about me, I have been dieting all my life. In March 2010 I have a heart attack and quit smoking. I gained 50 lbs my highest weight 186 lbs and have been struggling to get it off. I have lost 16 lbs. I have a problem staying motivated. I start out every month strong but as the month goes by and no loss for the effort I find myself falling back in to old slumps.
I am here again to start a fresh with this new month. This month will be a challenge with the changes in weather (ALL the aches and pains come alive). So you g to reduce steps to 7,000 and focus on healthier eating.
Have a great Monday!
GO OUT AND BE AMAZING TODAY!6 -

Hi, new teammates! I live in the Washington DC metro area. I joined the team last month and dropped about 5 pounds after struggling for many months to get back on track. (Hmm, put me on a team, and I tend to do my part, but if its only for me, not so much.) Nutrition has been much better - I am also going to focus on moving more this month. My preferred exercise is yoga, strength training, and running. Good luck to everyone!6 -
@Veta2018 - Oh my Benny is so cute. What kind of dog is he? I'm so sorry you are a Bears fan. I am a Packer fan. However, this year, it's not going so well.
I love the beginning of the month when you can be reintroduced to everyone. Love the Tigger costume, the Italian feast, lol on the mountain of unfinished craft projects, COFFEE and everything that's going on with this great group of peeps!
I'm Lisa:
I live in FL
The fam: wonderful husband + two young adults who are still living here.
Pet- dog- Gus, daughter's cat- Zeppelin
Been in this group for a couple years. Struggled with weight most of my life- hasn't gotten easier to get rid of it as I "mature". Currently on the struggle bus- been spinning the wheels and gaining back weight I already lost while here.
Let's have a great month. Love the "Slimpossible Strong!" idea for a theme
PS: I did pretty well on my spooky challenge. Will update tomorrow.

Big loss this week, but only because last week’s weigh in was at the peak of a few days of gaining.
It’s Halloween! It’s starting to catch on here in Australia, but is mostly popular in younger families (social media generations). Our neighbourhood is a lot of empty nesters, and a few older kids so we never have many, if any, trick-or-treaters. Thus, won’t be buying any candy as it will inevitably be left for us to eat. And with No Sugar November starting tomorrow, it sounds like having candy around would be a great way to sabotage myself.
I hope everyone has a great day!3 -

Nov Intro
I’m a married mom of 3 big kids. I have 3 rescue doggies. So we are quite the circus. Always something silly happening around here.
My plan is to keep it low to no carbs, steps, weights and cycling. I don’t starve, overdo exercise or stress over a slip up. Which I believe is what has helped compared to past plans. I’m coming off a harsh medication and have seen a gain, and after my husbands accident I had reintroduced carbs due to convenience in the hospital. 3 months later, I still have some and it’s not helping. So really trying to get back off them.
I previously lost over 70lbs with MFP. After some health issues I put some weight back on and here I am to do it again. I started in January and have lost 27.2 lbs with the group. The last 3 months haven’t been the greatest for losing, while focusing on my husbands recovery. He’s starting to improve and I have more time. So here I am ready to get back at it. I just need a kick in the …
@laurelfit57 you’re Italian feast sounded great. How did the focaccia turn out?
@Katmary71 I hope you feeling well. Miss you 🥰
@trooworld I love your costumes. Super cute! You’ve been getting some good step in.
@micaroo4 mam, you keep me moving. Your step count is so encouraging. Thanks! It’s so sweet that you missed Rich over the weekend. I’m so bad, I’m dying for mine to travel so I can clean out his cave. He won’t let me touch it when hems home. 😂
@tammymccrady6278 you are doing amazing! Onederland is near! Did I miss you reaching it? I hope not.
@Cornanda I’m on the struggle bus with you. This month will be our month!
@steffibabiie you are doing an amazing job and keeping it going. Well done!
@txcritter69 I am trying to think of ways to keep on track. I need something to look forward to, mid week, mid month. I feel ya. 🤗
@19shmoo69 let us know how the reset goes. I’m considering to do a big batch of bone broth to use as a meal replacement or snack time. It helped in the past.
Love all the pet pics! Adorable! 😍
Here’s some pics of my lil guy Helix (RIP) during playtime, casing the joint, breaking and entering and making a run for it. He had full cheeks which made his getaway rough.
