A Quick Note: It's so easy to be discouraged by the number on the scale this time of year, but remember that our bodies are doing everything they can to keep us alive. It takes in more water to process excess salt and sugars, needs time to grow new muscle, doesn't work as effectively when stressed or sick... grant yourself some grace, grant your body some grace, and know that a few bad decisions will not undo months and months and months of progress.
You're doing better than you think. Happy Holidays!

@jessicakrall8 Mine are just simple cookies from the grocery store. I always stock up on a few packages because I really like these cookies. I can fit two cookies in my day, yesterday I had 4. It was nice!

Hello Shape Shifters. Yesterday was a little rough. I had my walk in the morning which was pretty good. I started working on the pc around 11:30. It was a huge struggle. I am not sure why, but this build felt a lot more challenging than the first time I did it. I didn't expect that, because now I at least had some experience. I think maybe the newer stuff is just more complex and people want more and more. It was a lot less obvious to me where things were supposed to go. When I finally installed windows and got some things sorted and downloaded, I had another issue and realised it installed on the wrong memory. So I had to remake windows media, unplug the hard disk and redo the whole windows installation on the right disk. I had a little meltdown at that point for sure! @SavageMrsMoose I was going to say that anyone can build a pc, but after yesterday I would say get someone else to do it, lol. It was such a headache. I was exhausted and ended up going to bed at 23:00 which is a lot later than normal. Today I will be downloading some games and getting all my bookmarks sorted. I am excited to test how fast it is when gaming. My pc starts up in around 3 seconds which is very promising! My walk this morning was very nice. It was finally not crazy windy and I even saw somewhat of a sunrise! Some random pictures under the spoiler. Happy Monday everyone6

Welcome @abowersgirl to our team! Glad you found us! Please take a moment and introduce yourself and share a little about your goals for January and beyond! Also, I encourage you to go back to page one of this chat thread and read our FAQ file. It should answer some of your questions. You were listed as a former member of the team...has it been a while since you were here? In any case, I hope you find the team helpful in keeping you encouraged.
On behalf of myself and the other captain @Pupowl welcome back!
Good luck in January!

For Christmas we've had a big box sitting by the furnace all month. It turned out to be big box of *previously* fresh fruit from my mother-in-law. It's now kinda making a bit of cider. It shipped with cold packs and ready to be open and eaten but I didn't realize it, and there was a miscommunication. Anyway, it's a big box! I think some of it can be donated to the deer and a few oranges seem okay? lol, oh my, my entire living room smells fruity.
I have an injured back so am going to be out for awhile but might unofficially hang around until February or whenever I can return. It sucks so bad that I'm making insane plans for the future like....can I work out six hours a day to make sure this never happens again, train for triathlon, and eat only lettuce? Maybe....!! Maybe! I never want to be in this situation ever again.

Hi, I am Steph from Canada
I think I signed up in December but wasn't sure how to navigate it on my phone and was sort of confused on how it worked. So I signed in on my computer and now I can navigate things easier.
Regardless I am here now and working it out

I hope everyone had a merry Christmas! Mine was quiet and wonderful.
@Itadakimasu7 So sorry about your back! What happened? I ruptured a disc almost 20 years ago, had all kinds of problems before, but recovered really well after surgery. Swimming was the best exercise for me. Again, I’m so sorry, the pain can be unbearable.
@pupowl Love your photos!

@Itadakimasu7 Dang, what a shame about all the fruit! You would think the person sending it would make 100% sure it was opened early. That would really bum me out! Sorry to hear about your back. I like reading your posts, so feel free to keep hanging around. I saw you asked to be removed from the team, but maybe being on support would be a better idea? Either way, you can come back whenever you are able to!
@abowersgirl Welcome to the team! I hope you will find it a helpful tool on your journey.
@JenHul No worries, I got all your steps added to the sheet so you are still on the challenge!3 -

Hi @JenHul
I would have sent you a message letting you know you had been removed from the step challenge for failure to report if I had removed you. Also, your name/stats would have disappeared from the board. We try to give people one/two reminders before removal. Please just try and report in every 2-3 days. That's the standard we request for registration/participation. Appreciate your efforts! Nice stepping lately!! Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone has had a good Christmas ?
I did feel like I spent the whole day in the kitchen eventhough my youngest son was helping.I think we were too ambitious cooking beef & turkey aswell as Greek lemon potatoes & roast potatoes & all the veggies & trimmings !
Still it was a lovely meal & enjoyed by all.
So now we have lots of leftovers & goodies that I normally never buy like chocolates, mince pies, biscuits so I'm trying hard to avoid them.
Those from across the pond,do you have mince pies ? They are sweet pastry tarts stuffed with a sweet mixture of raisins, suet & mixed peel.
@frankwbrown thankyou for the links to the garmin badges.I can't wait for the dance fitness badges when they come in April.
I did go out for a walk yesterday, alot of families were out & children on new bikes etc that they got for Xmas.

Yesterday was my son’s birthday and today is my daughter’s birthday. It’s another beautiful day here so I’m hoping to go skiing with her. My husband has been for days. I’m a little worried. Up here at altitude I think it’s harder to recover when you’re down.
Happy Wednesday everyone!4 -
