@CeeBeeSlim hope your hanging in there.

I SO wanted to still be at 105 or 106 but I knew I wasn't. I haven't been hungry or under calories for a couple weeks. i used to always (in my 20's and the kids were 2ys old) only eat if i was actually hungry. Then I somehow got away form that habit. I need to work on re-gaining that habit. I'm thinking that eating less at each meal would be a good start.

Hey @Kitri2020! Hanging in there @SherryRueter!

Had a busy week with doc appts. Done for a while.

I had a long talk with myself last week. And this week down 6 pounds! Went low carb, loads of veggies. no snacking, CG iron, 30 min treadmill walk, 10-15 of weighted abs, lots of water and only eat when I really hungry. So hope to stay motivated and disciplined this weekend. Lowest weight in months though not where I’d like to be.

    Wish me luck!! 🤞🤞

MOnday went well. Saturday went well.
    Sunday oculd have been better.
None of the days are "binging" and way over calories. They are just not in a deficit. This is a good baby step. But I obviously want to do better.

Monday - Loved my mindset and what I did. So I'm repeating it tuesday.
We are camping and around family daily and, they typically provide the food.
Except this time, I'm bringing veggie side dishes and Fruits so that I only need to have a little of their "protien" and to say No (or do a 2-3 bite) to dessert.

Activity is still in the 10k steps and we get in our strength training at they local gym.

Whew! Been at my father’s tiny hometown in SC so he can visit his sick brother. Sad grocery stores, take out crap, and a Walmart with expired food. Ugh. Was doing well but gained three pounds overnight due to a salty meal. Quickly back on track.

I wish I took a photo. The local grocery added a “salad bar”. Points for trying. Only iceberg lettuce (brown), bacon bits, boiled eggs, other usual veggies. At end of the bar I wondered “what’s that - that’s a strange veggie”. It was a pan of sliced, iced, lemon cake and marble swirl pound cake. Right next to the bell peppers. 🤯🤯😫😫😫

Still doing CG iron. One more week til the end!

It’s sad to think this would be the norm for so many.

Hi everyone! I'm back (for now at least hahah). After backsliding for a lot of April, I gave up completely for pretty much all May. This is pretty much what happened last year around that time, too. The last few months of the school year are always so hard, and we end up eating out and snacking a lot more to cope with the stress and busy schedule.
We are finally on summer break, so I feel like I'm in a good head space to start thinking about my weight again. I'm up 3 pounds from where I was, which is so frustrating. But I know that I can take it back off.
I might not be very consistent here until July, because we are finally going on our honeymoon next week. We got married during covid, so we decided to wait until the world re-opened to plan a honeymoon. And this year, we decided that we finally should go. So we are going to road trip to some national parks for a few weeks. We should be very active when we are not in the car, but I'm sure that we will be eating out a lot. So we'll see how that goes for nutrition/weight.
But I am determined to get back to good habits this summer! And hopefully not just give up again in August when we go back to school. :)

For MOST they think that salad bar is healthy. I'm asked a LOT ... here is some iceberg lettuce...I'm like...uh.... no.... I'd rather go hungry.

No @Kitri2020 - I’m not active on FB. I noticed we were still in the “May” so I started a Sunmer Countdown post too!

@SherryRueter - welcome back! Dying in this SC heat but doing my best. Indulged some ice cream and weakened for some lemon Oreo thins - but back on track!

To add context.... they thought that if I had a cup of iceberg lettuce that would meet the vegetable requirements for the day. My families do not believe in the category of Fruit or vegetable ... they believe in deep fried meats or pizza and bread. oh, and sugar and oil and salt. Chips is a standard vegetable for them. Shaking my head.... I typically bring my own salad (aka, my own meal.)

This year I've been more vegetable forward and have 2 meals that are vegetarian a day. I like it a lot, and its starting to get easier for me - meaning i don't miss the meat, but find I need some to get in my protein goals. It helps out a LOT when I am visiting family because It solidifies what I will NOT be eating. They think I'm just super picky. When really its a "my health requires this".

Did I mention my cholesterol has dropped about 79 points? Just got blood work back last week. LDL is now just 2 point above "HIGH" (132 vs the top of high is 130) and my Total cholesterol is roughly 224, high is over 199.... mine was around 285 in 2021. All of my dietary changes are helping slowly.

(the Lead my group is a business/work goal. I am the senior member of the team and I want to stand out to leadership as the point person).

    1. making my goals easy so that attaining them every day isn't hard work but, still propels me forward. 97% of people will continue to work on a goal if it is easy to attain. If it is TOO hard, and sucks donkey doo doo they wlll give up and not try.

    2. simplify life by removing things - I hid instagram, and will reduce where I spend my time on facebook/social media. I realize that making a morning protein shake takes much more time than grabbing pre-cooked egg bake. This gets me into work on time. My co workers bring in snacks. I am pausing my participation in their baked goods and food for a few weeks so that i can focus on my goal. I will have a warm tea or lite coffee.

    3. Presently I am working on Finding ways to make my goal of weight loss fun. ....Stay tuned....
