Hey there I’m new here, just turned 42 today actually. I’m already five months in on my journey towards a new life. I’ve overcome so much already, this feels like the last great challenge left for me to conquer. I know I’m going to make it because I know the alternative. If I don’t do it, I know what that looks like and where it leads. I know I don’t want to go back there. I’m taking every precaution to ensure my success. I just signed with a nutrition coach for the next two months and MFP was one of the tools she uses. Tracking macros etc is the only way to keep myself honest about EVERYTHING I eat. As an adult I’ve never weighed less than 255lbs. SW 400, CW 375. Look forward to being active in this group/community. Thanks for having me.

I'm 42 also and at my heaviest ever. Trying to lose about 50lbs. I had lost the weight twice before, but it crept back on and is harder to lose now, not sure why. Maybe metabolism, depression meds, bad marriage, etc. probably all of the above. Anyway, trying to dial in this week and really start in a good direction again.
Congrats on your wins so far! Great idea to get a coach. I'm sure that will help a lot.
