@tallymh I love that quote! It's so true!
@HorsesRock9999 I would say establish a routine really helps me the most. I look at my calendar on Sundays for my schedule for the week to make a plan. It works pretty well!
We got back from a long weekend at the beach and I ate olive garden for dinner last night. This included not tracking and many, many indulgences. But it did also include several walks on the beach. Somehow, I managed to lose 3 pounds this weekend! Hopefully it stays down for tomorrow's weigh-in!
We read atomic habits for book club this month. I have read this book several times. I love the thought of making small changes and stacking habits. When I wake up, I make my bed. After I go to the bathroom, I do 5 squats. I have found this to be really helpful for exercise and movement, but don't know how to incorporate this for food. Just my random thought of the past few days.

Hey Downsizers 😁
Just curious…. How many calories do you eat day? And are you concerned about hitting your macros percentages.
1 -
@gillis1118 I *aim* to eat between 1400-1600 calories with 90-100 grams of protein. I don't necessarily track any other macros (the app tracks it, I just don't pay attention). If I get hungry on days I exercise (not frequently), I will add an extra 100-150 calories. I am trying to make exercise a good, healthy habit, not so I can eat extra.

@gillis1118 I aim to eat 1200, but since I am just figuring things out, my goal is to not go over 1600 for the August challenge. Being short means I can't eat very much. I don't track my macros since right now my focus is on tracking and figuring out how to reduce the calories I eat, and exercising at least 20 minutes a day.

@gillis1118 To lose I aim for a weekly average of 1600 per day with exercise but mostly I average around 1800. I can't function properly below 1400.

If you are not familiar with Darebee! Awesome website to check out and help out with your workout goals! Great stuff!
They have a great workout of the day “quick”, but several different opinions! I am going to do the daily “quick” workout to “kickstart” myself! If anyone wants to join in!

That looks like a great workout, @HorsesRock9999 Today I did a 30 minute workout from YouTube. It was slow enough that I didn't get lost about what I was supposed to do, and lets you work at your own level. https://youtu.be/D41qsrTkBgM?si=p27USH2PjPDr-cut

@ShockinglyFit Awesome! I am impressed of all the free workout videos/programs out there now!! Does anyone else on the team utilize YouTube or other forms to help you exercise?
I use the Peloton bike for cardio and also ride horses 🐎!
