Oct 18: Week 3, Day 2 of program, 1.9 miles Strava:

Total Miles To Date: 15.6 / 14.5 to 30 mile goal

Ok - I actually would have better times on this run in Strava if I had stopped it when the C25K had stopped but I let Strava run another 2 minutes while we finished walking home. It was a better run that day even if running with my kid.

4 miles total yesterday (3 miles and then 8 strides, which covered another mile). Total so far = 30.75/50.

3.5 miles yesterday so now I'm at 34.25/50. I have 3 tomorrow and 6 on Saturday.

I did 3 on Friday and 6 on Saturday. Total so far = 39.75/50. This week calls for 14.5 miles, so by Saturday, I should be over 50.

Don't think I'll make my 40 mile goal, so I'm going to try for that again next month. I definitely want 30+ miles this month though.

    So far:

    5-Oct 5.5 miles total: 8.6
    7-Oct 2.4 miles total: 11 miles
    10-Oct 3.1 miles total: 14.1 miles
    11-Oct 2 miles total: 16.1 miles
    skipped my long run :<
    14-Oct 2 miles total: 18.1 miles
    16-Oct 3.1 miles total: 21.2 miles
    18-Oct 2 miles total: 23.2 miles
    20-Oct 2 miles total: 25.2 miles

Hey all, wasn't able to get online yesterday so will posting now. Totally under calculated my total I could do. I was expecting recovery to be worse than it is, but I am already back and running 15+ miles this week and already added another 4 miles last night. So now at 56.85 miles total complete. Feels good to be running steadily again.

I think we have many 'winners' for this challenge - I see lots of people close to their goal and we still have 9 more days! Way to go everyone!

Oct 22: Week 3, Day 3 of program, 2 miles Strava:
    http://www.strava.com/activities/90675945

Total Miles To Date: 17.6 / 12.5 to 30 mile goal

I looked at the next day's program and it's harder after this. I did finish each day of Week 3 without stopping during the run time. I guess if I have problems, I just repeat that day again. I'm running with small hills so it adds a level of difficulty but just about all the area I live in is going to have some elevation. I might as well train on hills.

Just go slow. I'm in North Atlanta and we're in the Appalachian foothills. From experience I can tell you that hills are your friends.

The kind of friend that tells you if your breath is bad.

Actially I already know that - I have ashama. So yes, running is just a laugh a gasping minute. Living a mile up just doesn't help at all. Running in Atlanta felt so easy compared to here. I actually wasn't gasping for air when I was running there two summers ago.

4.6 today, bringing me to 45.1.

Best foliage day EVER complete with sunset and many swan still in the pond. Gorgeous. Took a turn on a side trail just to chance the sunset a bit more.

I'm sitting right at 40 miles so I should break 50 by the end of the week. Amazing since I just started in July!
