    Came down with a bout of bronchitis! This is so weird because I generally never get sick. This took a toll on me. Today is the first day outdoors! Walked a couple of miles. Will post these and other miles over the next weekend. Have a 10 k in 3 wks and not even know at this time if I can participate,

    You can do it, MarathonBiker!! I had a light bout of bronchitis just a few weeks before my half... I just had to give up on my time goal and ran it just to finish. I too am rarely sick... and never had bronchitis before!

    Had An Awesome week! Tues late afternoon laced up running shoes and took off. Wanted to see if I had problems since being sick. None. Not even winded! On Thurs I rode with a friend for 17 mi. He was very helpful, gave me some well deserved tips on shifting and speed intervals. Then today, did a solo 6 mi run and then met up with running grp for another 3.5 mi. Sticking to run/walk is making a huge difference! Next Sat is 10 k, and going to embrace it!

    Today was 10 k time 97 min. A little winded. I completed it! That was a great feeling! Weather in am low 80's. It got hotter as run progressed. I had someone spray me with water hose to cool off. That was a 1st highlite of the day, the next one members of running grp cheering me on to finish line, moments I cherish!

    @marathonbiker - 10K sounds fun, despite the heat! Reminds me of running through sprinklers! Well done!

    Great weather yesterday for the Brooklyn 1/2 marathon. Started in Grand Army Plaza, ran through Prospect Park, down Ocean Avenue and ended up at Coney Island!
