Training (& trail miles!) - Garmin only recorded 14.2mi of what should be a 15.5mi route.. dang hills, switchbacks & trees!! Thankfully avoided lightning during the run (stood in the open waiting for shuttle bus in thunder/lightning/rain!)

Sunday was the Best ride I've had this year! No trails, rural road, a few minor grades. Weather perfect, with a slight breeze. Was out riding at 6:30 am. Completed ride in 2:45 with a couple of 5 min breaks. Looking to do some longer rides real soon!0 -

I did my first double digit run yesterday- ten miles! I started out way too fast but that was my first run someplace flat so I really struggled to pace myself at the start. I also got to see where the triathlon I entered for next month goes. I'm looking forward to it although I'm worried about the bike portion. It's all flat. Where I live is nothing but hills so you bust your butt going up but get a break going down; I'm not too sure about the constant peddling.0 -

Hope ev 1 enjoyed the 4th! We had a deluge of rain. First big rain in sometime. Of course that made it more sticky! Love that Pizza and beer, never tasted so good after a heavy workout. Looking at going ahead with H iron man training. Lot of hard work ahead! Hopefully by next Aug I can go for it! My plan is not to do it in Calif, but looks more like Texas. Right now Is the time to get in the best shape., That will take a miracle, I know I can get there. The most difficult part will be the running!
