3.62 miles power walk outside today (rounding down to 3.5) and 20 minutes on my mini-stepper (1 mile).

Had a good week walk-wise, lots of Leslie's tapes, Ultimate Five Day Walk Plan, 4 Fast Miles, Belly Blasting Walk, Walk it Off in 30 Days, plus a few exercise classes, cross country skiing and finally, walking outside.

For the month: 159
Goal: 150
Since getting the FitBit, I am walking more, averaging about 7-8 miles a day, up from 5. I don't know if it's a fluke or not, but I did finally lose a pound after being on a weight loss plateau for over a year. I lost the first 32 pounds in ten months, and then stalled out. I was happy I was maintaining, but I sure would like to get out of the 200's sometime soon. I know a pound one way or the other doesn't mean much, since water weight can fluctuate constantly, but one thing I noticed when I looked at my MFP report was that my net calories were far too low; some days I was only netting 800 calories. I know there are lots of controversies about slowing down the metabolism by eating too little, but I decided to try something different, changed my activity level from sedentary to lightly active and increased my calories so I never net below my BMR. I was afraid to get on the scale after four weeks (make that petrified) but was pleasantly surprised to see the one pound loss.
I have a long way to go to my goal weight and being hypothyroid has it's challenges, too. I starting lifting weights again this month, but am being very cautious and starting out with much lower weights and concentrating on my form so I don't overdo anything. I'm still not sure if this is the right path to follow, but we'll see how it goes. I am so thankful for Leslie Sansone's walks and this group!0 -

Congratulations flowrgal23, on breaking through your plateau :drinker: . I am proud of you for continuing on and never giving up during that long time before you saw it finally happen :flowerforyou: You will find yourself in Onderland soon!!
Good idea about upping your calories. I agree about the eating more seeming to help with weight loss .
