It was too hot to be out on my bike this afternoon but.....I did it anyway. (Well, OK, I started this morning when it was cooler and I didn't turn around when I should have. :blushing: I'd like to say I learned my lesson but....I can't promise it won't happen again.)
Added 6 miles walking and 18 miles biking. Hey!! That's GOAL. :bigsmile: :bigsmile: August total 124.25
@anaconda Wow, you are tough! I'm glad the injury isn't any worse than it is, but you need to give it time to heal completely. :flowerforyou: If the doctor says you can ride, OK, but don't push your luck. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:0 -

Well most everyone here knows I had 3 falls during a biking event last month. Well after 6 weeks I have finally gone to the doctor because my left hip is still sore. Well one very expensive set of x-rays later I found out I have a cracked thigh bone, about 3 inches below the hip. It shows up as a shadow on the x-ray now, but it explains a lot of things. He asked when this happened, I said 6 weeks ago. I thought the doctors jaw was gonna hit the floor, he said I was tough for someone my age. I told him that it only hurts when I am not riding. I asked about riding, he says that I am healing slowly, so I can ride, but no tours til the end of the year. So....there goes my Mt Saint Helens ride next month :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: . I am supposed to not do any strenuous riding for a month or so. Oh well, I will just have to continue training for next year, but take it easy for a month or two.
Wow, you are one tough gal. Still, take it easy so that this thing can heal right. If you fall again and really break it good, it will set you back a lot longer. Hang tough and take it easy.0 -

OK, Beast mode is in full throttle mode. 70 miles added today for 368 out of 400. I think we are going to pull this one off and hit goal but the end of the weeks. :-)

Hey Chris. It was one of those days when you feel good and you just keep going. It was just a really nice day all in all. Glad your workout when well. I'm not a big gym fan but since I got a coach, I seem to be spending more time there. Some days I think he is trying to kill me with the workouts. :laugh:

4 miles today, 3.1 of them running for the second time this week (sign of the Apocalypse). Did it in 37:50, five seconds slower than on Monday, but it was 7 degrees hotter :devil: Wore my HRM to see that I can do 183 bpm and not die :sick: Three weeks until my 5K so I'm feeling better about doing it.

bwahah! Still can't lift my arms above my shoulders without feeling it!! I've had days where I just want to keep walking. Sometimes I can talk my walking partners it to it...sometime not. :noway:
