CONGRATS to SPIKESMOM on making GOAAAAL!!! :drinker::drinker:
And my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your friend. What a touching memorial to spread her ashes on the water. :flowerforyou: I'm sure it meant a lot to her daughter as well. And also a FANTASTIC job on the Tour de Redland!! :drinker:
Well everyone....I finally got that karaoke & beer bug out of my system and I'm ready to switch back to beast mode today. I still have a fair amount of ground to make up to get back to green and it's time to start blowing that away. I think I have about 29 miles of catching-up to do on top of my regular 4 miles I have to do a day. Ready to get it!!! [BEASTMODE=ON]

Thanks Dave  I think we need to find a beast mode smiley of some sort.
Now off to do a 4 hour "princess shift" - I just politely turned down their offer to stay for 12 hours without laughing.0 -

I walked around the Olympic Park at Park City today - saw a woman training for bobsled, got to walk all around the bobsled track area. It's way more impressive in person than on the TV. I have no idea how far I walked - probably not more than a half mile. I'm not counting it toward my mileage for the month, but thought I'd post about it anyway. It was my second time at an Olympic venue (the other was in Barcelona). There's something really spectacular in thinking that's a venue where the world's best athletes came to reach for their dreams. Or maybe I'm just super sentimental about stuff like that, but it was a good day for me.0

Is anyone up for adding 10% more to whatever they did in August. That way we keep moving forward. It would put me at 165 miles for September to walk which is 15 miles more than August. It is only 0.5 miles per day more so doable. If you don't want to add 10% choose your own percentage but keep going forward.
Anyone joining me?0 -

I can't forget the first time I watched the swim to bike transition of a tri race. The athletes looked so much more impressive and fit in real life than on YouTube, my jaw dropped. Regarding the Olympic venue, there isn't a day I don't make the same thoughts and I live like two miles away from one.
I'm at 137/100 miles for August, I'll reset my goal to 150.0 -
