    Book club last night was awesome. The hostess doesn't cook but got food from a little Italian cafe and a local bakery. We had hummus, salad, spinach/bacon/asiago lasagna which was freaking amazing, butternut squash agnolotti with pecan brown butter sauce and assorted cupcakes (I had pumpkin - but was a little disappointed it just had regular buttercream frosting, was hoping for cream cheese or something to complement the pumpkin - oh well).

    I'm disappointed because this is no mass producing, average flavors, kiddie focused bakery. The name is Pint Size because the storefront is tiny and they produce everything in small batches. They usually have interesting things like cranberry potato chip cookies, bacon caramel corn, zucchini-ginger bread, homemade oatmeal cream pies, etc. I am not complaining (well maybe a little) I just expected more from such a place than PLAIN BUTTERCREAM!!!!

    lol Butter cream is my favorite honestly. I'll take that over any other kind of icing. But for pumpkin I'd probably have done my cream cheese butter cream, which is totally delicious.

    Yeah, that would be really disappointing. The cream cheese combo with pumpkin is like... a standard thing. Putting something else on there just doesn't make sense.

    Had half of a pumpkin spice bagel with pumpkin spice cream cheese, finally tried the Dannon Pumpkin yogurt, a serving of Frankenberry, & some more Halloween candy.

    I tried some of the Milano Peppermint Slice Cookies & enjoyed the crunchy peppermint pieces.

    I get mine at Shoprite. Sometimes they're sold out.... or sometimes I MAKE them be sold out... >:)

    Chicken thighs, wild rice, onion, yellow fingerling potatoes, carrots, and mushrooms, seasoned with thyme, sage, and rosemary. Seemed very fallish to me. And yes, I ate that entire thing.

    I'm glad to report that they restocked the pumpkin pecan oatmeal so I got two boxes. We're having lunch out later and I bought a hazelnut cake that looks absolutely fantastic, don't think I'll be able to get a picture though (it's boxed right now). I really wanted the pumpkin cheesecake but my husband hates it. I need to find a single slice of one somewhere. Has anyone tried the pecan pumpkin cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory? Trying to decide if it's worth the calories.

    Love the pics, MrM. Sorry to hear about the caramel though. I had a similar experience with the salted caramel latte at my local coffee joint. So much salt I couldn't drink it.
