Alright wasn't sure where to post these since we have so many good threads going.
Had out of town friends in town this weekend - supposedly just for a visit. Turned out to be to conspire with my husband for a surprise 40th birthday party for me at my house (bday is next week). Before, during, and after the party many delicious treats were consumed...
Friday night - roasted Halloween peeps in the firepit while drinking pumpkin beer.
Saturday afternoon - went to lunch at a local bbq pub and had awesome smoked wings and pulled chicken sandwich. Then we went to a new ice cream place where they make the ice cream with liquid nitrogen in front of you.
Some of the flavors:
I chose campfire s'mores. Vanilla ice cream base with toasted marshmallows, hershey's chocolate squares and graham crackers with homemade hot fudge, then the whole sundae infused with smoke. It was DELICIOUS. The smoked ice cream flavor was incredible.

Lastly, here's my birthday cake from my party. It was chocolate cake w/chocolate icing - from Sam's Club but quite good. The throwback pic to my gymnastics days really (ahem) took the cake. All the decorations for the party were red white and blue, stars and stripes. I was confused, wondering why they chose that decor thinking, did they get a discount on post Fourth of July stuff? No, it was all centered around this awesome leotard from when I was probably 10....

Day 17: Pumpkin Spice Creamer and a Pumpkin Spice Oreo after dinner (which was grilled cheese and meatball minestrone - very fall-ish)
Day 18: Pumpkin Spice Creamer, Harvest Pumpkin Ale, and some break and bake cookies: Halloween Chocolate Chip with Orange Morsels and Pumpkin Spice Cookies with white chips.
Day 19: Pumpkin Spice Creamer, Pumpkin Munchkins from Dunkin Donuts, Pumpkin Spice Cookies.
Day 20: Pumpkin Spice Creamer, Pumpkin Spice Oreos
Day 21: Candy from the Halloween stash, Pumpkin Spice Cookies
Day 22: Chobani Pumpkin Spice Yogurt (not as good as the Noosa but half the calories and still pretty tasty), half a Chocolate Drop from our local bakery (cannot describe how good these are - like a Panera muffie, only lighter like yellow cake, and then with chocolate frosting on top), Pumpkin Spice Oreo
Day 23: Turtle Cupcake Parfait, Butternut Squash Agnolotti with Pecan Brown Butter sauce, Pumpkin Cupcake
Day 24: Pumpkin spice creamer, Nutella Crepe from Food Truck, Roasted Halloween Peeps
Day 25: Pumpkin Bagel with Brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese (awesome), Campfire S'mores Sundae, Chocolate cake and lots and lots and lots of red wine.
Day 26: Pumpkin creamer in my coffee is the only fall thing. We went to breakfast with my friends and I ate pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs and hashbrowns. Didn't eat again till dinner and then had leftovers from my party. Not interested in wine or cake....0 -
