Made pumpkin pie oatmeal this morning.

Might have to get out of this challenge, it's going to get boring fast
Don't feel bad. I feel pretty pathetic myself seeing everyone eat the great fall themed treats but me with my non creative pallet and lack of love for cinnamon and pumpkin leaves me eating boring things. I'm like the red headed stepchild.

    Watch it mister!

If you can't work in desserts why not try some fall-themed dinners? I've saved a couple of fall soup recipes to use this week.

I made some butternut squash soup too. Had a bowl the last two nights. Delicious.
Just back from Mexico, so way behind on this challenge. But an MFP friend just posted some intriguing news - Talenti has apparently released a pumpkin pie gelato. He is in Northern Cal in my neck of the woods, so I will be looking for it in the next few days.

i'm going to look for this at my Shoprite. i was just there about 2-3 days ago & didn't see it on the shelf. i hope it is not a limited flavor that they aren't stocking in my area, like the German Chocolate Cake. That would make me very sad.

back from the food store. Sadly the Yoplait pumpkin cheesecake yogurt was nowhere to be found. :(

but i picked up a box of Count Chocula, and i am happy to report that they had theTalenti Pumpkin Pie Gelato in stock. :)

I've checked four stores for the Yoplait yogurt... no luck. I haven't checked the Talenti Pumpkin Pie gelato but will probably pass on that.

I do like the Chobani pumpkin and apple cinnamon flavors though, will probably get more of those.

I'm just giving you a hard time... actually one of my best Halloween costumes was the year I went as a Red Headed Step Child. I had this homely looking jumper, and put my arm in a sling, hair in pigtails, and gave myself a black eye (makeup). I got a lot of laughs that year, and only a few people were offended (that I know of).

The Chobani Pumpkin was all sold out as well. I checked every brand & there were only apple flavors, no pumpkin. maybe i will try another Shoprite. I really want to hit up the Trader Joes. They have awesome pumpkin flavored treats. but i'm afraid that i will buy WAY more than i need. I have no self control in that store.

Hahaha yeah. I keep meaning to go there and deciding against it. I just looked at their website. They have pumpkin macarons. And pumpkin bread pudding. And waffles. And pumpkin pie mochi ice cream (I LOVE that stuff). That just sounds way too dangerous. The pecan/pumpkin oatmeal sounds delish though, and safer, but I could try to make some with pecan butter and pumpkin (might try that tomorrow).

    Day 1: Candy Corn
    Day 2: Fall colored M&Ms
Day 3: Pumpkin Spice Hershey's Kisses
Day 4: Fresh made Bierwagen's apple fritters with cider cinnamon glaze, washed down with the cider that's only available during October. One of the fall flavors I look forward to the most every year!
Day 5: Entenmann's (sp?) classic cake style pumpkin doughnut. Also, butternut squash risotto made with turkey stock I had in the freezer from last year. Didn't use the right kind of rice (just used what was on hand) and it was my first attempt, but I'm in love; it was delicious.
Day 6: 1/2 each pumpkin chocolate chip and cranberry orange muffins. $6 for a dozen @ Safeway/Vons. They have fantastic seasonal baked goods there for really cheap. Apple turnovers, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, spice cookies and muffins...yum.

I would also like to add, starting in autumn we grind two kinds of cinnamon with our coffee beans before French pressing (coffee snob). It gives the morning a little extra seasonal feel. When it turns winter, we keep the cinnamon and also include a smidge of nutmeg and allspice berry, or a little cocoa powder and peppermint extract. Every morning is a nod to the season.

I tried the Chobani Pumpkin a few weeks ago and I agree it's pretty "meh". I haven't seen the Yoplait one yet, so I'll keep my eyes out for it. I wish Dannon has a pumpkin flavor to try... that Caramel Apple Pie was just sooooo goood. I imagine I'm going to have to make a mid-week run to go get more.

Also, the Shoprite in Stanton, DE had the Pumpkin Pie Talenti. I didn't get it because it wasn't on sale. I SWEAR they didn't have it last week when Talenti was on sale. Hoping there will be a price break next week or so so that I can get in on that.

I was really shocked our Shoprite had it last week, they normally suck at getting the seasonal flavors in. If I had known I was going to like it as much as I do I would have bought all of them :)

I'm told it has little chunks of pie crust in it? Is that true? Also heard very good things about Caramel Apple Pie - that sounds pretty "fall-y" to me too.

Cortelli yes it has chunks of yummy delicious pie crust chunks mixed through. I tried the caramel apple pie that was actually a little too sweet for me. But I'm going to try again cause well can't form an opinion on just one try.

Ahhh oh gosh. Well it's only 200 calories a serving, might have to buy it anyway...

    Day 1: Maple bacon cookies
Day 2: Pumpkin Spice poptart, Talenti Salted Caramel & Rum
Day 3: Talenti Pumpkin Pie gelato - I loved this but I love almost anything pumpkin pie flavored, it had small bites of pie crust, now my husband gave it a 5/10 but only good choice he's made is marrying me

Day 4: All things food truck and wine - lost my phone with all my good food porn

    Where'd you get the gelato?

I hope to find the Egg Nog one this year.

At Shoprite, think it's out at most grocery stores now. The Egg nog one was really good too!

I picked that Jello Pumpkin Cheesecake and came across Pumpkin Pie Yoplait Light yogurt. Excited to try both!

    The Jell-O was good!

the Yoplait pumpkin cheesecake greek yogurt is my new favorite yogurt flavor. i hate runny yogurt, and for a greek yogurt it is not as thick as expected. it's not runny, but also not quite as thick as i would like. but it tastes so good i can't resist! I am headed to the grocery store to get more right now.

I also tried Chobani's limited edition pumpkin flavor. it was ok, but i definitely prefer the Yoplait.

I am not a clean eater by any stretch, but I thought Chobani tasted very fake. I'll have to try the Yoplait the next time I go shopping.

Have you tried the Pumpkin Noosa (only sold at Target) it's yummy!

My shop rite has the egg nog, they've had it forever.
