Greetings! Nice to see a group of fellow people from as my dad would say it "The Great White North" (mind you he should talk he's a yooper).
I'm Melissa, I reside in Rosemount but am extremely close to the Apple Valley border. I just joined MFP about a week ago and have enjoyed myself so far. I'm trying to get back to my target weight for my height as I have a not so great family history with heart issues, and I figure healthy weight and regular exercise should help lessen some of the risks.
So far I've lost some weight and boy was it a surprise to see that I had, as I had been stuck at the same weight for about a month, so I'm gonna keep going on and hopefully be down close to my goal weight by the end of the holidays.

I'm Megan, I grew up in Rosemount. I moved around for a few years and now have been in South St Paul for the last 6 years.
I started running this year and have totally fallen in love with it. I am terrified of what I am gonna do when the snow finally comes. Any other runners who can offer me some tips? How late into the season do you run outside? I am going to do it for as long as I can take it!

I was born in St Paul. Moved to California when I was 2. Moved to Hayward Wisconsin when I was 3 and lived there until 1990. Then we moved to South St Paul where I stayed through high school. Now I am in Inver Grove Heights. Funny thing is when I was in high school Inver Grove Heights kids were our rivals. Now my kids go to school in Inver Grove and always have. I love it here. It is a nice peaceful city. 0

Hello fellow Minnesotans!! I live in Rochester, have for almost 10 years now, but I graduated from Elgin-Millville. I lived in Wanamingo through 4th grade, then Zumbro Falls for a couple years, then Plainview for a few years, and then Elgin. I'm sure many people on here have probably never heard of those small towns, but yeah, that's where I'm from! I currently work in Roch and own a nice little townhome. I grew up near Mazeppa and graduated from Mazeppa HS (a couple years before they merged with Zumbrota), so we played E-M and Wanamingo in sports. So, yeah, I know all those towns...one of my grandmas lived in Zumbro Falls for awhile. Both my parents grew up by Lake City.0 -
