I'm kinda creeped out........I'm waiting for the bad things to start...withdrawal, cravings....but I'm having none. Is that normal? Does that mean maybe I'm not addicted to nicotine, just he habit part? or maybe I have such a good mind set that I'm fooling myself really well?

I didn't have bad withdrawal or cravings when I quit (for good). But I have tried to quit before and literally felt like my skin was crawling. I would say you have a good mind set, and this time you have quit for good.

You may have occasional cravings that will surprise you, but they will be quick and painless. I describe mine as, "Huh...I could go for a cigarette." in the same frame of mind as, "Huh, I could go for a Big Mac." I'm not going to die if I don't have a Big Mac, I'm not going to snap anybody's head off...it's a fleeting thought and then it's gone.

Actually...I probably have more cravings for Big Macs than I do cigarettes.

Congratulations! And enjoy your painless smoke-free days :)

Thank you. I think you're right, the fact that I've really quit for good and I know it has made all the difference. When I'd try before I'd get the antsy "i gotta have a cig!!" feeling......but this time I don't.

I have not had one cig since 9.45pm Mon evening and have to say I'm finding it quite easy, I'm missing the habit more then the cig and it's after dinner in the evening that I automatically go to have one so I just wash my hair of find something to do and it's sorted.
Have tried patches, tablets, gum, none of them have worked long term but just giving up seems to work and I don't understand it!!
    Happy though
