Robin - Sorry about the job, great attitude. Who knows what's around the corner.

Kat - I agree with asjerven, Puerto Rico sounds awesome, but I am suffering from vacation withdrawal. Haven't been on one in two years

Sidney - Good job reviving your liver.

    Monday - wine
    Tuesday - wine
    Wednesday - probably wine
    Thursday - you guessed it...wine
Friday - Tequila, bet you thought I was going to say wine
Bought a new brand called El Ultimo Agave, sounds interesting, it is 100% agave. Has anyone tried this?

I love Vegas, we were there last September and we've been to Puerto Rico a couple times for cruises. Vegas flights were a bit pricey but we could have left on Saturday or Sunday for PR and been on the beach by the afternoon which I think right now I would take over Vegas. Less than 6 months until the wedding so we need to get bridesmaid dresses and these last few things done for the wedding. We normally go on a couple vacations a year so for us not having gone anywhere since September seems like a long time so I can't imagine 2 years!

    On the booze note:

    Monday - 0
    Tuesday - 0

AND, I think I'm going to start Insanity next week. I have enough time for that and another round of P90X before the wedding so I'm hoping to shed some pounds with Insanity and then continue toning and strengthening with P90X after

Sorry about the jobby-job, Robin, that sucks.

I was good at my parents' house on Saturday...only 2glasses of wine. Of ourselves, the lack of alcohol isnt impacting thecscale. *grumble grumble*

    Wednesday, 0, work 3 to 11

I'm supposed to go to the unit counsel meeting at noon. However, I've decided that 8 hours there today is enough...even though the OT would be nice. After today, I am off until next Wednesday.

Chicago peeps come on Thursday :drinker:

I ordered two tickets for my gf and I to do the Mall crawl (pub crawl) at the Mall of America at the end of the month. I am thinking of going dry from April 15th to the 29th which is the event. I think I can do it!!

Regarding vacay. Hubs and I were talking and decided not to take any big trips this year and pour those funds into the house. I am still hoping to eek out a really long weekend to visit the Minnesota daughter (and to catch up with KIm and Ron) but our plans seem to be very squishy right now. The new job would have helped because it would have been a stellar raise.

Its gonna be hard not to plan a trip because I make travel a priority. (sort of like my 90 year old Dad who is leaving for NewZealand and Australia this morning. - the same 90 year old dad who went to South Africa in January-February and spent his 5 year anniversary traisping all over So Cal and Arizona last month.) I usualy have at least one tropics vacay and one something else but not this year  unless of course I cave.

Vodka rocks last night, 20 minute Kettleworx workout this morning. I am a little sore.

    Have a great lushy day.

Should be 0 tonight as well.

After tonight the fiancé has until next Wednesday off so we'll see what happens with the booze.

Since we couldn't make Vegas or PR work this week we're going to do some serious spring cleaning, fun. Not sure if we'll get a chance to go anywhere before the wedding so our honeymoon may be our next vacation. I'd be fine with a long honeymoon, of course I say that now but as soon as it comes and I have to say bye to my pups it's not fun until we actually get there and I can kind of relax.

Kat, somehow, I find it very easy to say good-bye to the animals and children alike...

    Bgrune, girls' weekend...now we're talkin'

Robin, you are more than welcome to come for dinner to my house...and, I have vodka & wine that I am more than willing to share

Chole, good job with the zeros

I just found out that my Chicago people are arriving this evening and my house is a mess... Luckily, they are staying in a hotel; but, I am sure will be here at one point. :noway:

    HI Lushes,

Sticking to my plan for wine tonight. Had a mammogram today and that hurt like a mofo so lots of wine tonight to help my tatas feel better plus to celebrate a clean bill of health.

So speaking of vacations, hubs tells me today we might take a mini one sometime between early June and July while he is between teaching classes. We will see if that happens, we are also in the process of opening up a new restaurant by the end of Sept. I am somewhat optimistic and will keep perusing the travelzoo website.

    Cheers :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

    Well I suck at sobriety
    Sun-0

Wine tonite. I think 3 days is my limit. I have dropped 4 of the 6 lbs I gained so that's a plus.

Wolf, how exciting and scary to be opening a restaurant...my mom was just saying how she hates mammos as well...they for some reason, don't bother me...childbirth is the one I try to avoid

Sydney, 3 days is my threshold as well

    Zippo, consistent as usual

    Monday, 0
    Tuesday, 0
    Wednesday, 0

I did my brutal run at work and apparently I have the next 8 days off. I don't understand why they lump it all together. There's a reason I am part-time. I am getting old and running about the unit for 3 12s is killer and I can barely move the next day.

Chicago peeps will ensure that I am not sober from today till Sunday.

I have to go trapze the Mall of America today. The kids will go to the amusement park and the adults will have to find some entertainment.

Wolf, what kind of restaurant are you opening?

I think about doing that all the time. Its one of those dreams that sounds cool but then the reality..... well not so much.

My poor hubby hasn't kept any food or water down since Tuesday morning. If he can't keep water down this morning I am going to take him to the doctor. I know he is dehydrated. I am very worried but he isn't the typical sick male. He gets pissed if I try to even cater to him in anyway shape or form. So I have to stay back and let him be the macho sick guy until he can't do it anymore.

I chilled some whites the other day when it was sunny and now that the rain is back I haven't felt like drinking them. So it was vodka and diet sunkist lemon last night. my fave.

Have a super duper lush filled day, my friends.

Robin, Bodi boy and Ritter bit.

Good Thursday to you all! :D

The one good thing about moving is you're freeken broke. Since the move beer is gone, I've been dry since Monday.

There is a bottle of wine in the fridge. It's tempting but since I'm not getting home til after 8pm, it's probably not gonna get drank. I'm finally on goal for the week, what the heck??? Oh and have you guys ever had a wine called "Relax"? It's a Riesling.

Wolf- my fiancé has talked many times about opening a restaurant. Good luck and have fun with it!

Mama lush- hope your hubs is better soon :flowerforyou:

Bgrune- have an awesome girls weekend!

    As for this lush:

    Monday - 0
    Tuesday - 0
Wednesday - 2 bottles of wine with the fiancé. He's leaving his job soon and has been stressed about it for awhile. Came home last night from a business type dinner and wanted wine which is not normal for him at all so we had wine and watched mad men

Not sure about tonight, we're making this pasta we picked up from Whole Foods with one of their yummy sauces, chicken and some bread on the side. I think some red would pair quite well with that don't you?

Good for all you going strong on the 0's!!! :flowerforyou: Whether it's stay cation or vacation, the abstaining from booze seems hard. Looking forward to getting back to a good amount of 0's, it seems to really help with the weight loss and I think doing Insanity will help me refrain because that is so not the cardio you want to do hungover :noway:

Hubs is on the mend but still not good. I do not feel so good today myself. I hope I didn't get whatever he had. I did enjoy a lovely bottle of rose last night. really crisp and dry. loved it.

hmmmm, 2 glasses of wine, a beer, a 32 oz beer, 2 margs and 2 more beers...long day entertaining the Chicago peeps. I have to be a good host, right?

I think I am getting a cold as well.

It's wine tasting night at the wine club.

Still planning a zero for tonight. Tomorrow we are having people over so it will be my cheat meal with drinks and then Sunday its back to zero. My challenge for the next to weeks is to only have one cheat meal with drinks, being either Friday or Saturday. And actually since we are going to be at our house Saturday I am still trying to keep the meal on the healthier side.

It is strange how the more zeros you have the easier it becomes though!
