Thanks Karen_thinmint. So far I've found the walking has helped to get the baby engaged but midwife said with your second they can pop in and out of engagement. At the moment he's 2/5 engaged and I really hope he doesn't pop out again!

Not too happy about the jumps the past few weeks.. In comparison to my first pregnancy, Im already ahead as far as gaining goes... and I wanted to gain LESS this pregnancy, not more (Last time was 30 lb). Its all appearing in the form of back fat and love handles.. not just baby.

So much for gaining 1lb/wk and how you plateau at the end because you can't fit anything in, I'm the hungriest ever! I averaged 2270 cals a day this week, not much more than Ive been eating already (~2150/day); don't understand the big bumps. Just waiting for baby to show - 3 more weeks!

Baby boy arrived Friday 1st December at 5pm. He was 11 days overdue (was booked in for an induction the next morning so he arrived just in time!) And weighed 8 lb. I wanted to put a phot up but don't know how.
At the end of my pregnancy I weighed 188 lb (put on 34 lb in total). I weighed myself today (4 days postpartum) and I'm now 174 lb (so lost 14 lb so far). Overall I think I've gained a healthy amount and hope it's not too hard losing the rest of the weight. Hope you all have a great rest of yiur pregnancies and it won't be long until you meet your bundles of joy!

I was having a difficult time with the weight gain, so I took a break from weighing last week. I saw my doctor this week and am feeling much better about it. It is really hard for me to feel out of control in so many ways, but I've started accepting that my body is going to do what it needs to.

On Week 40 Day 5 we finally got to meet our beautiful baby girl! We were team green, and she's a wonderful surprise. She took her time to get here but she is heaven. She was born 7 lbs 1 oz, and 20.5 inches long.
I'm happy with the 26 lbs (even though Im not 100% sure my last weight as I weigh in tues/fri). Especially happy about # as she was born around the holidays and I didn't hold back.4 -

Im a bit ahead of where I expected because of eating a lot of extra holiday treats over the month leading up to Christmas. I thought id gain less this pregnancy than with my first (30 lb) but im on track to gain around 35 lb (as a minimum) or 40 lb.0 -

I know I'm crazy late getting into this game, but I feel bad reading everyone else's and never contributing, haha. I've definitely gained more than I had hoped, but I found that with the craziness of life and morning sickness, tracking what I ate was adding stress and not having an effect on how much, little, or what I could eat.
I feel really good, though, and besides my belly my clothes fit me almost the same, so I'm not too worried about getting it all back off. That was a huge fear for me at the beginning, because I was finally getting to a place where I felt healthy and like my health goals were achievable when I took the pregnancy test.
Now if I can just keep myself from eating nothing but cinnamon rolls until this baby comes, I think we'll be okay!2 -

Currently 21w 5d and have gained only 5lbs so far... all within the course of 3 days last week, so I'm not sure if I'm retaining water or my body just decided to hold on to everything after doing nothing for the first half of this pregnancy.
I had been trying to lose weight when I got pregnant in October so since then I've decided to try and gain as little as possible. I'm counting calories just to "be aware" but I'm not really restricting anything except trying to go easy on carbs as they seem to make my nausea worse and choosing fruit over cookies/donuts/baked goods whenever I'm capable.
I'm happy with these 5lbs and happy I maintained my weight for so long.
With my first, I gained 60lbs and never got back to my pre-pregnancy weight, so I'm hoping that since I've been tracking my food for the last 6 months and it's become second nature, I'll be able to drop weight after the baby comes.2 -

This is probably the biggest challenge so far for my lifestyle lol. I was still doing intense cardio and weight lifting in the first few weeks before I knew I was pregnant, but my body seemed to lose all the extra energy soon after it’s confirmed. I can’t get up as early as I should, heart rate elevates too much (imo) during simple routine activities, easier to have muscle injuries, and that feeling of nausea when I “think of” certain food... (yet feeling hungry all the time).
Really looking forward to the 2nd trimester (or just when the nauseous feeling goes away) and hopefully I can resume my workout routine0 -

Cravings subsides a little bit but my taste of food becomes heavier... maybe because the heavy seasoning can usually mask the natural odor from meat or veggies (& my sense of smell became better now...)
Sleeping quality became very bad I’d wake up in the middle of night to use the bathroom and have to spend at least 30 min to fall asleep (& usually would only stay in shallow sleep/REM and loops of dreams...). Back pain from injured muscle is also killing me...
It’s Lunar New Year now and feeling homesick is bad enough...

Oh my goodness! How are you achieving this? Im predisposed to gestational diabetes so my OB wants me to gain 20 to 25. Last pregnancy i gained 23.5 and this pregnancy im trying to gain just what i need again but i feel so scared of getting gestational diabetes that im eating the lower end of what i would normally eat. I remember last pregnancy i ate way way wayy more and put on just what i needed.0
