Tanne21, can I ask how tall you are? That was my starting weight too, although I am only 12 weeks into my second pregnancy. In my first I stopped weighing at 42 lbs gained... I am only 5 ft tall and I did not lose all the weight after having my son so I was starting out this pregnancy 12 lbs from my pre-preg weight. I am trying not to gain too much this time around.

Started previous pregnancy around 160 and ended up over 200 (40+ lb gain  )

I generally only weigh on days I have an appt so I can compare what my home scale says to the scale in the doctor's office (they subtract lbs to account for clothes). But the after week 33, I've started weighing on days when I'm not retaining water to keep a better gauge on what I really weigh so I'm aware of how skewed my weight could be on dr appt days in the event I'm retaining water.

    Starting weight: 174
    Week 11 (8/22): 173.2
    Week 16 (9/23): 176
    Week 17 (10/1): 176.4
    Week 19 (10/14): 180
    Week 21 (10/31): 183.4
    Week 22 (11/05): 184.4
    Week 24 (11/16): 185.4
    Week 25 (11/26): 186.2
    Week 26 (12/3): 188.8
    Week 28 (12/22): 191.4
Week 33 (1/23): 199.2 (massive water retention going on - stupid cankles)
Week 35 (2/5): 199 (more realistic, but also got sick so didn't gain much more)
    Week 36 (2/16): 201
Week 37 (2/23): 206 (massive water retention again)
Week 37 (2/26): 204 (still retaining, but going back down)
Week 38 (3/2): 206.8 (I think my body has become more sensitive to sodium - cankles are back)
Week 39 (3/11): 205.6 (never ending water retention)

Total gain to date: 31.6 lbs

    3 more days to go!

3rd baby. Trying to be more aware this go 'round. Like the accountability of posting here:
5'5, 35 yr old. Lost 70 lbs after second son...
    was maintaining between 136-138.
    10 weeks- 138.4
    11 weeks- 138.4
    12 weeks- 140.2
    13 weeks- 144.4
Suddenly up... ugh. I don't like the big jump, but honestly I havn't been very good about intake... eating back all exercise calories and plenty of junk in the house with girl scout cookies, sons birthday etc. Need to be better this week!

Hi @katiebrew - congrats! You bet - we sound very similar. I am 5'2 and this is also my 2nd pregnancy. I gained over 50# with my first and struggled to lose it all. I ended up having a long labor that almost ended with a c section so I'm hoping that keeping things in check this time will help.

I basically started this pregnancy 20# overweight so my goal is a 15-20# gain. My Dr told me that I'm on track to gain around 20# at this point and that I should expect the weight to start accumulating in the next couple of weeks. You should check out @ninkyou's posts from in this thread too if you get a chance. She started around the same weight too but already had her baby. I know that no one is the same but it helps to have a guideline from someone with the same goals :)

    Back with another update:

I'm 38 +2 and have gained 20 lbs. Down two pounds from my last appointment at 37 weeks. Things seems like they are progressing, but I know women can be dilated for weeks before meeting their babies. Who knows... I may have my little baby boy in my arms by the next time I post. Btw... my goal is two gain 25 lbs max.

I'm up 19 lbs at 31 weeks. My starting BMI was bang on 25 which puts me right on the borderline between healthy and overweight so most websites can't agree on whether I fall into the 15-25lbs ideal gain (overweight) or the 25-35lbs ideal gain (healthy BMI). I seem to be more or less on track for around 25 lbs though which I guess is about right either way!

    22 Week: 228
    26 Week: 226 (-2 Total)

I am still getting sick several times a day, so please don't take my gains/losses as a healthy pregnancy habit! I'm ready for this little one to come (after 36 weeks of course) and get my body/digestive tract back!

Second baby  With my first I started at 138 and stopped weighing myself at 180... I gained way too much. I'm 5 feet nothing on a good day. My pre-pregnancy weight this time was 155.6 after the holidays so I started walking and c25k on the treadmill and had lost about six pounds before I found out we were pregnant; then the nausea took over and I have pretty much stopped exercising for now. I eat between 1700-2000 calories per day. Looking forward to feeling better and LESS SNOW so I can get outside again. My goal is to gain 25lbs max.

    10 weeks: 150.4
    11 weeks: 151.4
    12 weeks: 150.2
    13 weeks: 149.6

I will be 22 weeks tomorrow and fluctuate between 5-9 lbs. I'm not suppose to gain more then 25
