    I really have a lot of trouble with water weight gain. I exercise at least twice a week and try to stay under 1600 cals (I dont always log it in, though). I definitely need to cut back on carbs. Any suggestions would be great!

    One thing I am learning is that you must drink water. Sounds simple and I struggle at times with it. Now I am trying something that I use to do in the military drink water before I eat anything and during the meal. Get those glasses of water in daily::drinker:

    This month has been a challenge and I have not checked in the last two weeks. My weight has been up and down. It's very frustrating! Bring on November! Never quit.

    Jul : 194 lbs / 195.5
    Aug :189 lbs / 191.5 (shy 2.5lbs of goal) Hopefully September will be better
    Sep :185 lbs/ 189.5 (4.5 lbs off :grumble: ) Doing awfully since summer ended :sad:
    Oct : 182 lbs /187* ( I blame TOM!!! :cry: )
    Nov: 175 lbs
    Dec 25th : 170 lbs

    *(TOM arrived for this months weigh in, Im hoping 187 will be minus a couple LBS once he departs)

    I'm 5'4" and MFP has me set at 1200 calories daily with a goal of losing 2 pounds per week. I stay close to that amount every day. I haven't been eating my exercise calories back--I know that is a touchy subject with some people. If I'm hungry, then I eat something. I don't go over 1600 calories. I pretty much walk my dog daily--we try to walk 5 miles but some days are shorter. I also usually do an exercise dvd in the evening (Rockin Body is my favorite but I do Hip Hop Abs sometimes too). I am thinking about starting Insanity in January but I don't know if I'm up to it ;) I am not the healthiest eater but I try. My diary is open to friends so feel free to browse through and you'll see what I mean. I have been trying to drink half my body weight in ounces of water which for me is 14-15 cups. That's pretty much all I've been doing over the last few months. I also tend to give in to my cravings if I need to. It works to get it out of my system so I can move on. I don't do "cheat" days, I just build whatever I want into my calories. If I go too far over one day I may cut back later in the week.

    You are sooooooo RIGHT! I did the "water before meals" thing and it works! Those pounds fell off! I was like :noway: :drinker:

    ANd thanx so much for the reply. :smile: From what I can tell, I pretty much need to up my calorie burn. :ohwell: I couldnt imagine 5miles a day.lol. But I need to get to burning the calories so I wont be too far off my december goal.
