Hey guys! I want to join in.
I am 5 ft 3 and currently 134 pounds. I Have been lifting for a few years, and am strong for my size. I was trying to get lean and defined, but just didn't have enough muscle. I was getting close to being underweight, so I had no choice but to bulk! So I went on a 4 month long bulk this summer. I gained about 15 pounds, and set so many PRs.
Unfortunately I do NOT carry extra fat well. I have a small frame, so the extra fat makes me look a little chunky :P Was very nervous to post these. BUT it will be good to see in 8 weeks.
(sorry for the blackout, when I had my roommie take the pictures she didn't tell me I was popping out :P)

Measurements:
Waist - 27 inches
hips - 35 inches
thigh - 22 inches
butt - 37.5 inches
underbust - 29 inches
arm - 10.75 inches
Not as ripped as you guys
Start date: August 25th

I'll be following along. I'll take measurements, weigh myself, and take photos just like you. Are you doing 1 set of after photos or taking them along the way? How many calories? Any cheat days/meals?0
-

That's what the final product is meant to be not the start! Good luck Sunshine0 -
Awesome, good luck! I'm not competing but I would like to learn from some of the girls here0

Looks like i am starting with about 2,000 calories a day. I will adjust where I need to in a couple of weeks! Give it time
I probably wont do cheat meals or cheat days. I tend to just eat what I want, so cheat meals don't apply
Occasionally having a cheat day when I go out will be a must though
Thanks guys!0 -
Welcome sunshine, and good luck. I dont do cheat meals either, whats the point in Cardio if not to eat cheesecake?0

First 2 days have been good! about 1800-1900 calorie intake. Feel full actually, but I think I just try to make myself believe that :P
Going for 100g of pro
Stealing Chris's idea for taking meal pics. I'm a culinary student0 -

Food pics are good. Helps give others, mainly me, ideas on different meals. I tend to fall back on the same recipes too often.0 -

Good start
And yep, I've always done that. I've kept workout/nutrition log on bb.com for a while so I just thought I'd do the same here. Makes the pages more interesting to look at hehe0 -
I look at them for ideas too

Doesn't look like "diet" food. Doinitrite!
Sandwich with peaches! Amazing.
I don't buy a lot of bread just because it goes off too damn quick. I just mix everything with oats instead of having sandwiches0 -
Sandwich with peaches in it? Interesting, never heard of it haha
I'll be following you on your cut log, I need good role models that eat, since I'm afraid to do that. Good luck!! :flowerforyou:0 -
I eat bread like crazy xD Usually a couple of loaves a week
Peaches, mozzarella, and basil are AMAZING in quesadillas and on pizza brushed with olive oil0 -
your sandwiches look amazing, are they all you eat?0
-
I eat a lot of sandwiches because they are fast
take a pb one for lunch, and one quick before I go to work until 10 xD
Usually I eat Greek yogurt, fruit, or veggies with them though0 -
So tired. Wonder if it is me just adjusting to less food? Hmm...
Need to think of what to do with eggs. Good protein and fat, but I hate them for the most part :P0 -
why eat them then?
I just do 2 eggs with heaps of whites & veggies. Scramble it all up with some spices and hot sauce. Is good0 -
Cheap food and I like them occasionally
Egg salad and deviled eggs are yummy! Anything else I don't like though
Might try hard boiled with hot sauce. Hot sauce makes everything taste good0 -
Today's food
overnight oats
Baked Pineapple Chicken Quesadilla
415 cals / 39g pro / 6g fat / 51g carbs
Actually sore from squats yesterday. Legs are so stiff!0 -
looks delish! Pineapple/chicken is an awesome combo!0
-
How about a can of chili?
You can bake eggs with veggies and cheese. They're portable and yummy.0 -

I thought about this after you mentioned it the other day! They have microwaveable ones I can get at the store
So I need a few opinions. I work at ISU DIning 2 days a week and get a free meal after! They have the nutrition for the most part on the website. Think I should go for it? I am so big on accuracy... I even thought about bringing my food scale with me so I could weigh out my food just to be sure xD Yay or nay?
If I choose not to get the meal, I can always use my free meal to bring home a bunch of bananas and apples0 -
Errr--no no food scales allowed. I'd just eat it and take the estimate --not a huge deal.0
-
free meal is good
And yeah I'd just estimate macros.

^^ part of dinner. I ate the other half before I remembered to take a pic LOL0 -
First weigh in today, and down 3 lbs. Mostly water/glycogen loss, but I can tell I'm not so "puffy"0
-
Wow-that's Incredible. Way to go.0
-
Good stuff Sunshine. Hate that puffy feeling!0
-
I made a punkin pie protein shake today0

My training is really starting to get hard! Maybe someone has some advice for me...
I recently started Physical Training again in the Army ROTC (3rd year)
So on monday, tueday, thursday, and friday I work out for an hour and a half.
LOTS of body weight exercises (pushups, situps, pull ups, etc) and of course running
My question is, how do you think this interferes with my lifting routine? I am pretty sore after PT. Then I try to get my big lifts in at least 3 times per week. Think i risk over training?0 -
definately too many sessions, 4 pts with three 3 strengths in between ouch. is the pt work mandatory? if it is base your strength routine around it.
also it depends on the actual pt sessions, but i would probably try to mix them to hit 5 a week if possible and even that would be very tiring so food intake needs to be spot on, enough to keep your body repairing, re-energising but still achieve weight loss.
i know your gonna smash it hun, just stay safe, overtraining can cause more muscle loss when dieitng0
