Run - wow. It always shocks me when people like that are still around.

My family is full of them... racists, bigots... my uncle didn't speak to me for two years after finding out my (randomly assigned) college roommate was Indian. After that, nothing surprises me anymore.

Well that was easy... he cut me off. As if I had any choice in the matter... Heh... you should have seen the look on my Dad's face when moving me into the dorms freshman year and my RA was a big black guy. I've accepted that I can't change their opinions, so I tend to only SEE my family on holidays.

Man I am seeing just booked us a couple of nights at a resort close to Seattle. He is sending me to the spa for one morning and told me to make a list of things I need or want and to bring an extra bag.. as he wants to take me shopping.

Perhaps this is every woman's dream..but I confess not knowing what to do with this kind of generosity and being totally spoiled! Feeling the need to equal things out and give back somehow..but obviously cannot do so financially.

He is quite lovely in other ways too, however. But I don't really know how to deal with this, other than to tell him to stop spoiling me or thank him profusely. Any advice?

how long have u guys been dating?
i would feel weird if it was not from someone i'm in a LTR in, also wouldn't feel comfortable if he had to make it a point to TELL me in advance he was taking me shopping and to bring an extra bag....not judging you or your guy, but if it was me and some guy I would feel like he is over doing it and I would feel uncomfortable.

of course its nice when guys buy us things but I think there's a line I would rather not cross especially if its someone new.

    Blow jobs
I like the way you think.

If you get a oppurtunity, visit Pike Place. Lots of vendors and interesting little shops to visit.

I confess I've installed a pull up bar on my bedroom door frame. I do one or two pull ups each time I get out of my room.

On a side note, how did your pull up thingy go Kit?

I confess I went on a date last night with a guy I've been out with a few times.
It was so nice to be with a guy who would take initiate - he held my hand, touched my leg, kissed me.

The last guy I dated was so shy, that he would do a drive by peck....

AHHHH so I get to see him again Wednesday.. Is it bad, that even though I ask about when to have sex and such, I WANT TO JUMP HIM!!! god I have no self control

I am with you 100%....I want to have sex too! It's been like 2 years, but everytime I have the opportunity..."mommy-mode" kicks in and all I think about is I should concentrate on being a mother and not a lover...Issues...Issues....

For me, it's not so much the mommy thing.. it isn't that at all.
It's becuase the last guy I dated and had sex with, sent me a john deer text the next day. Was the crappiest feeling ever, and so now I am paranoid this will happen again.

I confess I have a pullup bar sitting in the box at the back of my closet....I need to find that. I really do. :) Thanks for the reminder!!

@ Danielle - no no, it's STEAK AND BJ'S. Not just "blow jobs". Have some class lady. Seriously though, if you aren't comfortable then just tell him. Don't make it weird just let him know that he doesn't need to go over the top and you appreciate him. Then if he buys you things on the sly anyway thank him and reward the subtlety. Ideally it sounds like an awesome situation but yeah, I would be uncomfortable too... at first. After I had a bunch of neat new comics and action figures I'd stop feeling so bad

@Run - You missed an opportunity for a LOT of fun. Oh man. Oh man the possibilities. First step - Craigslist ad: "Looking for biracial homosexual couple to teach someone a lesson"...

@Flim - it did not. I ended up getting very badly sick for three weeks and couldn't do anything, then I didn't get the job anyway so I went back to doing my usual running/yoga/strength training. I have been thinking about picking it up again but probably after my move.

PS this is my new car

    2007-Dodge-Caliber-18252365.jpg

2007 Dodge Caliber SXT in silver. The car I totaled was a white 2007 Dodge Caliber SE - I upgraded a bit (though my SE was a higher end SE with all the bells and whistles). This one has 17" wheels instead of 15", window tinting and a 2.0L CVT engine instead of the 1.8L CVT (both are 4 cyl). The only thing my new guy is missing is cruise control, which I am going to get installed sometime this next week (hopefully).

I miss The Destroyer (yes, I'm aware of the irony) but I am already very fond of the new guy and hopefully will find a good name for him yet.

I confess that with the big drops in weight recently along with getting noticeably stronger from a new lifting program that I tried to do a pull up yesterday. It was close but I still need to keep working on it. A little more strength and another 15 pounds of weight loss should help.

Hmmm, he's a little too sweet for that I think. My last car was a decepticon, but I'm not feeling that for this guy. I've got to figure out what he is first. He's definitely more patient (If you guys can't tell, this is serious business for me XD)

It`s silver, kinda like Thor`s Mjolnir. So you could call it `mew-mew` since Darcy mispronounces Mjolnir in the Thor movie.
Other People: "What`s your car`s name?"
    Kits: Mew-mew
    Other People: *giggles*
Kits: YOU DARE MOCK THE GREAT AND MIGHTY MEW-MEW?!

    Love the new car Kit!!

Be careful about allowing others to name your car. I allwed my son to name our (then new) Gold Rav 4. He said it was the color of honeybuns and it shall be forever known as HoneyBun. I like to match my licensplates to my cars (ex: had a red beetle, licens plate said LDY BG) but there's NO WAY I'm driving around with HNY BN on my car. Mabye if I wasn't brown skinned... lol!

Really sorry about your accident, but the car is a nice silver lining!

All of my cars that I've loved have been male. The only car I had that I didn't like was a big ol' '98 buick that was definitely an old lady of a boat. I just don't like cars that big.

@JJ - yeah, I'll take suggestions but ultimately the name will come to me and it will be perfect :)

@Cesar - haha, that would be cute! With The Destroyer any time we came across another caliber I would scream "THERE SHALL ONLY BE OOOOOONE" and then proceed to race them whether they realized we were racing or not (that's the trick to winning with a 4cyl).
