    Hello!

Would you be kind enough to estimate my body fat please? I have no idea how to post pics on a thread, would you be able to look at my profile pics?

Looking forward to reading what you guys think!

    Thank you

Hi! We need you to post your photos in this thread (or in a PM if you are not comfortable with that). We need, at least front relaxed and a front flexed photo and side-pics. flexed and relaxed. The relaxed pics should be with your arms down and to the front/side so you are not stretching. Also, the pics need to show your legs, at least from the knees up. A back pic would also help. The pics need to be candid pics and not at flattering angles/body positions.

The more photos you post and in reasonable lighting, the more accurate we will be able to estimate.

Additionally, please provide height and weight.

See http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/832956-how-to-post-pictures? for help on how to post pictures to a thread.

Hi! Per the OP, could you post the following pics:

Generally speaking, at a bare minimum you should post a front relaxed and a front flexed photo.

Ladies, please also provide a side-pic. The relaxed pics should be with your arms down and to the front/side so you are not stretching. Also, the pics need to show your legs, at least from the knees up. A back pic would also help. The pics need to be candid pics and not at flattering angles/body positions.

    Thanks

Hi! For flexed, we need your arms flexed as well as it helps estimate how much muscle you have. Thanks.

We would put you at about 24% give or take a percentage point of two on either side.

How does one determine body fat percentage?

I am underweight (90 pounds and 5"3) and thin everywhere except for my stomach area. It is very soft and I can pull on the skin. I am just trying to figure out what that is - is it loose skin as a result of weight loss (my normal weight was usually around 105 to 110), or is it an indication of body fat?

I'd just like to know what it is so I can determine the best way to target it. Thoughts?

Oooo - my bad. We agreed what we thought you were a few days ago and I forgot to...you know..actually tell you. :flowerforyou:

So, we would put you at about 24% BF, give or take a % either way. You were a little hard to assess to be honest as your back is leaner that the rest of you.

    No problem Sara!

I guess the calculator I've been using as a trend tool for my body fat % is indeed nothing more then a trend tool. The calculator put me at around 21%. Then I've got some more cutting to do, to get rid of the remaining chubbyness these pictures made me realize I have.

Thank you both for your reaction :smooched:
