    Now that I've figured out how to join the group, I have a question that I think y'all can help me with. But my question is a little different and I don't know if you can answer it or not. But here goes.

    I have scoliosis. I am 5'.25" tall on the outside. If measuring your "wingspan" from fingertip to fingertip actually represents your actual height, then I should be about 5'3.5." I have the musculature and bone structure of someone 5'3.5" tall on the inside. But it's all "squished" down a little bit in the shoulder-to-waist area.

    When entering information into the BMI and other charts, which height do I use?

    I would use the 5' 3.5" height.

    5'7" 45 yo. 174lbs. scale says 18-19%

    5'3" 160-165 lb. (Just started weights and retaining water like the Hoover dam, right now)

    I actually discussed this with my doctor (I've lost about 3 inches due to scoliosis). He said use the height that you would be without the scoliosis for setting goals and calculating BMI etc.

    That's fine and no worries.

    It's a little harder to pinpoint when you start getting above 30% for guys, but we would put you at about 25%, give or take a few percentage points.

    Sorry the photos aren't the best, phone cameras and all that. Couldn't get my legs in, can only say they are solid as rocks and don't join in the middle, haha. Just looking for a rough estimate really.

    A personal trainer used something called bodystat 1500 on me today , which uses impedance and is supposedly much more accurate than things like the tanita scale. Made me 12% which I think is an underestimate, personally, sadly. I was 14 Ibs less, this time last year, and callipers put me at around 17-18% then. I only did cardio then, and in the time since then, have been doing weights and strength.

    I am 38, 5'10, 138 Ibs. Pics taken after a strength session and a bad eating night before, lol.

    Added a couple flexed having realised that was asked for, though bear in mind these are after a rather huge dinner, lmao and I have not 'flexed' before, but did my best given it is 1am here.
