Kate, I'm so jealous you're getting to go to Hawaii! I'm dying to go there. Hopefully the hubs & I will be able to one day. I have a friend who lives in Hawaii...but to fly from KS to Hawaii, well...the prices are a tad bit too high for me at this point. UGH! :( Have so much fun!!

All in all, it will be about 5k and that does not include the places we are staying...my in laws are picking up that tab, cause they are awesome geneous people! Of course the trade off is I have to spend 2wks with them,,,, but that should be a piece of cake, RIGHT!

One or two too many glasses of wine last night but I slept in and don't feel terrible. Having some V8 right now and then I'm going to log an hour on the bike which will make me feel great afterwards. The gotjunk people are on their way to haul the last bit of junk out of the house and then it's all set

Kate have fun!! We were going to do Hawaii for our honeymoon but husband didn't want to go until we could go for 2 weeks and he had to be at work for earnings when we went for our honeymoon so we postponed Hawaii. Mexico was great though, the all inclusive place we went was fabulous and I certainly wouldn't mind going back :glasses:

Kate, have a blast! I'd love to go to Hawaii. My only vacations planned so far this year are Destin in 6 weeks and Bonnaroo in June.

yep drank last night. grapfruit vodka and then a couple of glasses of red. Not doing the MAMA thing to well.:drinker: Booked flights and RV for our week in Alaska in August. Now we are just deciding how much fishing etc. we are going to be doing.

The B is in rare form today and is now making the buffer boss take the blame for my not living up to her expectations. It is just awful.

Robin - Sorry your work situation is so sh!tty, sounds like a vacation is exactly what you need. I've always wanted to visit Alaska. People who I have known who have gone come back with the most awesome stories and the best pictures.

Kate - You will love Hawaii! It's a big place and easy to lose the inlaws:wink: What island/islands are you staying on?

Syd - Hope your back feels better soon.

Dot - Nice job on the 0's! You too, bgrune!

Kat - Spring cleaning in the spring, what a novel idea! I like your new profile pic of your pups. Dachshunds?

Kim - Paying taxes suck, that is all.

Well, today was interesting at work. Nursing assistant calls me to find my lady passed out on the commode. I am thinking that I've had my fair share of work drama. At least, this one was DNR. I wish more families were on board with that. It's hard when you know they aren't going to make it and they keep doing stuff to them.

Well, my AA month will already be a failure. I might have a marg tonight with girlfriend after we finish our "dreamboard" class which I appear to be an utter failure at.

I want to go in everyone's luggage!! Take me with. Definitely no vacations here.

.............And, I want my house purged.

Off to dumb meeting about realizing my potential and goals!! Already missed 2 classes as well.

Put on your dream board that you never want to take another class on dream boards and would rather have a cocktail :drinker:

sorry about your.patient, Kim. Husband and I added our heath directives to our trust after watching his dad suffer for far too long. Discussed everything with our only son as well, so he won't have to worry about anything.

its the best gift you can give to your family.

Diana, - thisi will be my second time to Alaska. I took Doug back for his 50th birthday. He was born in Anchorage and left when he was 10. We had a great time. Time to doi it again. it is beautiful, especially if you like out doorsy stuff. (which for me means drinking and reading around a fire and maybe some horseback riding and a rafting trip. And I will go fishing at least once.

Looks like it has been a wild start of April for many of you. Dying on the commode, more common than you think. Bad bosses at work, injuries due to keeping in shape, life sure is interesting.

I can't compete with the misery of some of you but I did have a dentist appointment today for a cleaning. For me, it's something I don't look forward to. The hygienist is great tho- that's why I drive the 55 miles back to Covington from Olympia for it.

For those going on vacation-- don't forget us and try to post a pic of the Islands or Alaska so we can vacation vicariously through you.

I will be washing my sore gums out with alcohol tonight. The better to kill the germs with. See you all tomorrow. <-- clean teeth.

Yep, went for a drink after.....my dream board is right here!!

Well done on the advance directives. The only problem is people making those decisions get scared and buckle.

The class I took tonight is where I take pole classes and I saw the cutest pair of gold heels...but, atlas, I can't get stripper shoes because Uncle Sam has knocked. Life is cruel.

Ha! Packed it in her purse! We tend to patio dine with a stroller a lot and are always taking beers, leftover wine, etc. with us.

In 2010 (last time I did this race) I did the 10 miler in a little over 1:44. I'm faster this year so hoping for 100 minutes, but we'll see. It's a tough course with lots of hills.

Wolf - yep, mini dachshunds  if I could I would have a pic of all 6 furbabes but it's rare they all gather in the same room.

Didn't really have dinner last night so the wine has left it's mark this morning so I'm going to hop on the bike and sweat it out then nap a bit before getting my nails done

I was just in Princeville in February. Loved it.

I like my dentist a lot.

Sailor Jerry's and diet last night. seriously lushed it up. :ohwell:

Maybe I will be good tonight. Maybe I won't, I am just not sure.

Ashley, good luck on your race...are you going out after? I did the C25K today and realized what a month without consistent exercise can do...goal is to get the stamina back up but I have the PF to deal with too...sucks getting old

OMG, the luggage post was so cute. I actually packed 2 suitcases to go on a cruise when I was 19 - 1 was solely shoes. Of course, I didn't put the luggage out the night before like you're supposed to and I had to lug it thru the ship, of course, super hungover. :ohwell:

Kate, I think drinking liquor will make the IL's more tolerable. I've not been to Hawaii nor Alaska for that matter

AA: Day 4, 1 potent marg and holding strong for tonight - working the weekend will help

I told hubs of my great self-control yesterday and he bought the shoes for me. :drinker: Actually went to the studio and conspired with my girlfriend. I was thinking how sweet he is and now I am thinking he might have a different kind of motive. Now I have to learn to do some moves in them. I am SCARED!!

    Goodnight lushy friends...

Kim - moves or not ron will just love seeing you in the shoes.

    last night was lushy.

So, this morning I get to work and get my computer up and running and the b comes back to the cube area and tells me to go work in another area. So I have to "hotel" it in a different part of the company. (Uncomfortable non ergo set ups) then she tells me that next week I can work back at my desk since she will be sitting in her bosses office and then they should have a new cube ready for her since there isn't really any where to permanantely move me. so the moral is if you are a horrible boss and treat people badly they will build you your own private cubicle. :noway: this is how HR has decided to deal with the complaint I filed. I give up.

I am so happy its FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!
