I also use the premix margarita, but not the light. I use Sauza brand, because it is with sugar and not high fructose corn syrup. I cut it with club soda to bring down the calories and use fresh lime so it is more tart, less sweet.

Edited to add... I also use 1.5 oz of El Ultimo hornitos tequila, 1 oz Countreau, 1 oz. Presidente Brandy. No shortage of booze! It is the Chili's Presidente Margarita knock off.

I use fresh lime juice (use the key limes..or mexican limes..which are smaller and sweeter) and a dash of agave nectar (which is very sweet, but natural) for my margarita. But I will substitute Countreau when I want to kick it up. The issue I have is with the citrus...it upsets my tummy at times. So I rarely can have more than one or maybe two.
I'm on the last day of antibiotics and free of ear pain and sinus pressure. *happy dance*0 -

I'm feeling good now....the last few weeks were rough. Actually I felt like I had a bad hangover all the time...horrible headaches, nauseous, craving bad for me foods, etc. But, I think now that I'm in the second trimester that is all going away, thank god! THe no drinking thing is rough especially now that is is getting nice out that's for sure. I am learning to appreciate some NA beers though and that at least makes me feel like I'm getting a special treat

I got pregnant early May so I feel ya on the warm weather. I tried the NA beers, but I'm a bit of a beer snob, so I just ended up having mocktails most of the time....margs without the tequilla, and usually I'd do cranberry juice with a splash of OJ and a lime. I also ate icecream a lot of nights. :bigsmile:0 -

I am back. I had a fabulous time. I actually didn't get drunk either day at far. I had much better entertainment on hand.
Okay here's the story. Holly (MN daughter) flew to Vegas to do the gender reveal cake for her sister on Friday. Then the whole crew road trips it to the Faire 5 hours away to surprise me. I spent the afternoon with both of my daughter and Olivia!!! (and Brian too,the son-in-law) they spent the night and met me at faire the next morning until 2 when they had to head back home. So I was totally surprised , but not when they showed up because my ex(their step daddy who works the faire -master of the pub crawl) spilled the beans to me in the morning on Saturday because he didn't know it was a surprise. I was so high on happiness I was bouncing off the ways and crying tears of joy. I finally found them at 2 and the brats weren't planning on looking for me until an hour later
but I found them, so there!.
It was a weekend of my family, my faire family, my girlfriends and good food and drink. :drinker: It doesn't get much better :bigsmile: :bigsmile:

Monday-margarita
Tuesday-Tropical punch vodka with sprite zero. Holy crap that tropical punch vodka is awesome. I was looking for something different PLUS it was on sale. It tastes like hawaiian punch. Looking forward to some more tonight.
I don't know what's wrong with Len and I but we have not been about to get up for our morning workouts since we've been back...maybe its just because we need to get back into the routine but we are punishing ourselves tonight by going after work....that's right :laugh: we are hoping that after a crowded night at the gym that we will be more inclined to get up in the morning

Katie where do you find all these exotic vodkas? I looked at my liquor store and they only had the usual plus pomegranate, which is what I got. I think it's too sweet. Maybe I need to go to a big box liquor store....

Ashley, I just go to our Wine and Spirits. Its made by Pinnacle, they have CRAZY flavors like swedish fish, cotton candy, atomic red hot...like CRAZY stuff...tropical fruit is as crazy as I get . 0

Oh my gosh, Kate. Tropical punch vodka?!?!?! That sounds insanely delicious! I think I know what I'm drinking this weekend....I'm a huge fan of pinnacle vodka. I buy the cake flavor a lot and mix it with diet cherry dr. pepper. So yummy.0

None for me tonight though. Parents are coming tomorrow for daughter's graduation so I have tons to do. I can't believe she is finally graduating, a BA in economics no less. The only sad thing is is she is going to be moving to FL soon

Smirnoff makes a "light" brand of vodka--the lemon sorbet with diet 7UP is a perfect summery drink. Love it!! Our LQ has a ton of flavored vodkas as well--but we tend to not stray too far from our faves, however Skyy's Wild Strawberry is climbing the ranks--it's good with diet 7UP, ginger ale, red bull...0

Diana...congrats on your daughter's graduation! But booooo to her moving to Florida. Does she have a job there? That would make her a special breed since most college grads are unemployed or underemployed.

all's well here. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to feel healthy again. I drank wine for the first time in what seems like forever. I slept like the dead till some *kitten*'s car alarm went off at 4am. Lots of errands to get done before I'm off to the hotel tomorrow. :bigsmile:0 -
