Margs, wine and beer last night. Yesterday was beautiful out and it's even nicer today :glasses: 71 and sunny! Spring is finally in New England  landscapers are here right now taking care of the Spring clean up then they'll be back for actual landscaping. I'm sure there will be drinks tonight too, the warm weather just begs for a nice drink while watching tv with all the windows open

I learned today that my daughter might be going to Lexington, KY for a summer internship to work with horses. I'm sad at the thought of her leaving because we have been thru so much and are very close. I will worry, worry, worry. Alas, that is what a mom is supposed to do right.

Ashley, your in Lexington, right? Maybe, you can tell me if she's going to be in a good area when I get the details. I still have the right to snoop, I think.

I'm about 90 minutes away in Loiusville (GO CARDS!) but went to UK (in Lex) and lived in Lex for 3 years after I graduated. Yeah, let me know where she is and I'll give you the skinny! Lexington is gorgeous. You should visit her during April or October and go to Keeneland and get on ponies and drink.

I've been to Lexington before and I fell in love with it. We went to rescue place called ??? Friends? I tell Ron all the time when we retire, it's KY or TN - where you have 4 seasons & mountains. If we go to FL or AZ, it over-crowded with old people and WHY would I want to be surrounded by them.

It'd be great if you could give me "the skinny". I think Ron or I would take her - or - follow to make sure it's legit. I don't want her to be a sex slave.

Zip, glad your season started!! :drinker: :drinker:

Kat, with all those dogs I bet the yard is a mess when the snow melts...I know ours is

Diana - walking the dogs paid off

Barre yoga was BRUTAL today. I've not been there in a month so it's good to get back into the game. I wanted to keep going with the C25K today - but, it's raining heavily.

    NO DRINKS TONIGHT :noway:

Nisi the whole yard is in rough shape, not even just where the pups had to go to the bathroom during the winter. It's pretty big and we've never had anyone properly treat it. The great thing is this company also does lawn care, landscaping and many other things so they'll come back out to treat our lawn and take care of some landscaping that husband wants done. For the first time in almost 4 years that we've lived here we'll have a nice yard like all our neighbors

I started working out again last week while husband was off of work. He sort of kicked my exercise butt in gear. I'm doing things much differently this time as opposed to before the wedding or even before that. I want to do something I know I an keep up for the long term so I've been riding my stationary bike for 45 minutes staring at 3pm when Cougar Town comes on.. Last week I did Monday through Friday and took Saturday and Sunday as rest days. I'll probably do the same this week although husband is golfing Saturday morning so that would be a good time to get a ride in.

It is still gorgeous here and husband is going to hit some golf balls is I think I'll go grab a glass of wine and sit out on the deck with all the fur babes :glasses:

The board has quieted down . So I interviewed Monday and it went well but who knows. I was so tired and so was Doug we both crashed really early so no time to drink much. yesterday I had some diet squirt and vodka and just chilled. today the "kitchen guy" is coming to see if what we want to to do the kitchen is even possible. Not that it will happen any time soon but I had a groupon.

have a lushy day all. I really wish I weren't at work. It is still really uncormfortable even though she doesn't sit near me she still micro manages via email. ugh!

Hope everything with the interview works out Mama Lush :flowerforyou:

Wine last night while watching the championship basketball game in which our Huskies dominated :glasses: It's a gloomy day here today and we are snuggled on the couch waiting for the guy to come service the furnace and water heater. I could go for some amaretto in some coffee.

I'M BAAAACCCKKKKK!!! And doing a detox April.....so much needed. I noticed the last time I was here was in November. I know the holidays were rough, emotionally. And the other half was drinking way beyond fun. This continued through the new year, through March. I put my foot down, and now, surprises of surprises he has decided not to drink. It's day 5. Wondering how long this will last. AND going vegan.....I never thought he would give up meat but I am glad cause I've back way down on that consumption.

So, back to weighing in and doing a calorie count that seems unnecessary now that there are not 800+ calories in alcohol I don't have to account for. But I will anyway. I pray that I can go 30 days (as well as he can too). I KNOW the bloated weight will come off. So far 4 pounds. And I look better already. I'll keep that in front of me as a goal: To see the changes in my skin, dark circles and general body feel better stuff. Woohoo!

Hope everyone has been rolling along without too many bumps. Missed y'all!

    :drinker:

    Pam

PS Boy, did I want a beer last night......I was frustrated with the county as far as building permits. Can't believe what it takes just to enclose a lanai. Hardly worth it. Cheez!

Hi Pam, nice to see you back again. I did sober January with a one-day pass. I was trying to April but have had 7 thus far. :blushing: It's good hubs is on board, it makes it so much easier.

    Mama, you go for it!!

    4/9...no drinks

    Total count: 7

Celebrated taxes too early, we owe a lot - Ron brought them in and apparently his W2 wasn't in there. The spending freeze might be back on for a while and we def changing the withdrawal to Obama and working. They told us that they will let us know how the new healthcare laws will affect us as everything kicks in. I swear I'm going to have a coronary.

    Great to see you Pam!

plugging along here...had 1 1/2 glasses of red, poured the last half back.
the exercising has been great this week so I feel good. Its a gorgeous day today so I'm thinking the pool may be in order. Although I'd rather be in Hawaii with Katie.

This might be my latest 1st time for the month response. I am trying a calorie cycle/eat-stop-eat style but last night I budgetted for 8 oz of wine and 2 hershey minis, which turned into 12 oz of wine and no chocolate. I needed it!
Going for 0s tonight and budgetting for two drinks tomorrow.

Back into my rut. Too much vodka but at least I am not grumpy. Booked the airfare for our St. Maarten/Vegas trip. Spent a small fortune because we like to fly First Class on long trips. But still a whole week on a yacht with food and beverage covered and flying first class we only spent about 5K so I am impressed with my travel arranging skills.

    Welcome back Pam.
Amy - wine always beats chocolate in my book.
Sydney - It's rainy days like I am having right now that make me miss So Cal but then we get to summer up here and it is sooo beautiful I no longer miss it.
Kim - Still dreading paying my taxes. It seems so unfair.

    Lush Out!

Well, beer goes so good with pizza so I had some...they were Miller Lites, does that count?

I am horrible at abstaining. Tonight will be a zero.

Robin, it's so worth the beautiful experience. St. Maarten is one of my favorite islands there. Naussa is my least favorite for some reason.

Well....I changed my drinking challend so now I just have a total number of drinks for the week not specifically on any day. My sister got overzealous so I let her raise her drink number. So it's been:

Monday - 2 vodka Crystal Lights
Tuesday - 2 glasses of wine
Wednesday - 4 glasses of wine

Total is 16 or less so I have 8 to go. 0 tonight. I could use a day to dry out. Pluse it's nasty weather so I won't be tempted to sit and sip white on the deck.

Crazycat, I feel you pain on the building permit. As an engineering consultant, I assist with permitting processes of all sorts. It is ridiculous how long it takes to get things done.....

    Hope you all are well!

    Robin, thanks

Amy, nice control for the week.

Ashley, I love your pic - it's amazing and inspiring. What was your actual time? Way to ROCK the contest as well.

    Dot, another one with self-control

I'll not have any tonight - 8 hours tomorrow which seems short when you work 12s.

I can't believe all the snow falling here - it's almost irritating except that it melts quickly.

5 lbs in 5 days, yup no beers or anything. But we did break and have BACON and eggs for dinner. LOL I wondered how long he could go on with the veggie thing. 'Course I was right there (within my calorie count), but back on it today.

Thanks, Kim, and what a good idea on the one day pass thing. I'm sure I would make it a 5 day pass, maybe I should just pass the pass?!?! ; )

Hi SoCal and Robin - good to 'see' ya!

Better, yes it is a pain. The best I can do is tell them it will be a garage, let them inspect and then make it a room. Quite a few do that around here, all to get around the ridiculous building permit parameters. If you add a ROOM, no matter what it is -bed room, hobby room, den - they want to see if your septic tank is large enough to accommodate the extra square footage. What?!?! I don't see how a little 220 sq. ft. room is going to increase the sewage to the septic. Even if I made it into a bedroom! Guess I'll have to sneak the bathroom part in there somehow, AFTER the garage inspections!! LOL

Have a great day and weekend all!

okay, I really need to get serious and get back to it. I have just been wallowing and floating by with modified bad habits. I need to get back to the dreadmill that I haven't touched for a couple of months. I think I am being motivated by St Maarten. I need to look less like a beached whale while sitting on the deck of the yacht. :noway: If I really get my act together I could lose 20 pounds by Christmas.

GOOOOO ROBIN!!!!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!

Sorry I just had to convince myself.

    Dreadmill here I come.

ooh, St. Maarten! Jealous! I am going to Las Vegas, not exactly the same thing, but there will be swimwear involved so that is my motivation.
Yesterday was a bit of a fail-12 oz of red and not sure how to log the BBQ chicken pizza, the restaurant has no nutrition info.
    Thursday= 3 drinks
