Good morning. I actually had a zero last night. Now I am coloring my hair before work and then its off to Faire and lots and lots of drinking. I will be back late Monday night so I will be MIA for a few day.

I truly think a bottle of wine is just about right for one person:blushing:

Kim- you inspired me to sing to Syd. I couldn't have done it without you!

Robin, I am just happy that you were in a singing mood and I enjoyed it...Have fun at the fair!!

    Monday - Thursday = 0
Tonight trying for 3 normal'ish sized beers at a goodbye party so that vodka doesn't 'f me up since I have to work tomorrow
Tomorrow, 4 wines at pizza & pasta place - video games (think 80's arcade games, love Galaga) and liquor with another family

I'll probably really end up at 4 & 5 but going one over won't be bad. I hope

Monday goal is 2 because I have to drive, pole dancers unite for cocktails and apps at a bar

Weather is set for 70 today - going to the dog park with the dogs

    Robin have an awesome time!!!!
Kim, your weekend sounds fun...love old video games!

    Monday 2 1/2 beers
    Tuesday-5oz of white wine
Wednesday-10oz of white and mango vodka with sprite zero
Thursday-finished off the mango vodka, in the form of two 2oz with sprite zero and a shot.
Friday-I will probably finish off the white wine before we head to the show, then either a cocktail or a few brewskis at dinner and then maybe 1 or 2 inside the show. I was saying to Len that I didn't really want to drink inside the show because its expensive....then he reminded me that it couldn't possibly be as expensive as a drink in Hawaii....think I paid 14bucks for a glass of wine, so 6 or 7bucks ain't so bad
We don't have any socializing plans this weekend. I have to go look for a new vehicle first thing tomorrow morning, then we are going for a hike/picnic. Then probably just some drinks at home. Sunday, we will just hang around the house. I am looking forward to the calm before the storm. Starting next weekend we have something to do every weekend until the end of June!!!!

    Happy friday!!!

sounds like everyone is busy and the weather is cooperating!

2 vodkas and 2 tequilas last night. not horrible, but I ate *way* too much and felt sick after. I just can't eat that much food anymore...I need to stick with drinking my meals.

maybe some wine tonight. Party tomorrow. Then relaxing all Sunday.

As for this lush, probably going out to dinner tonight and will be home in my sweats on the couch while it's still light out .... I'm 89 at heart. Husband is golfing late tomorrow afternoon so I'm on my own, who knows what could happen  Sunday we'll probably just bum around the house.

Happy Friday all, have a wonderful weekend :flowerforyou:

I broke down and went to urgent care. As suspected, I have a sinus infection. Allergy season is a ***** on me!

So I got some antibiotics and flonase which will help. I suppose I should moderate my drinking at the party, huh? :grumble:

yuck on the sinus infection, I used to get those every year when I smoked. I still get allergies but flonase helps with that.
Last night I only had two beers!

Thought I was in the wrong thread...I didn't recognise Mama Lush all renaissancy in the picture, but then I did and all is well with the world.

Syd - Sinus infections suck! Hope your drugs work fast.

    Ryze - Enjoy the dinosaurs!

Sounds like everyone is having a good week lushy wise.

    Thursday - 1 hard cider
    Friday - 3 martinis
    Saturday - zilch

I am going to try to abstain for a week and see if this stupid extra pound comes off.

Great pic, Gary! The weather looks like its cooperating for you.

day 3 of antibiotics and no booze. I think I'm starting to feel better, finally. The pain isn't as bad anyway. Hope the rest of you are making up for my abstinence. :drinker:

Wait, look, it's happy Robin away from the evil co-worker-manager-from-hell-worker. Now, I recognize that smile. :flowerforyou:

    Sydney, No bueno...feel better.

Gary, kind of had to notice how fit you and the wife are compared to the other couple in the photo.....awesome pic of you two. The hiking looks incredible.

    Zip, are you playing jokes??

Diana, make it happen and send it over this way.

I wanted to be good tonight - and, I was accousted by lushes and carried away to a local "Sunday Funday". I guess there are worse punishments. Tomorrow is new IV pump training. Snoooze-fest

Did alright last week, but Saturday was Lushy with a capital L. Had a beer after my race, 2 bloody marys at brunch and then was going to stop, but my BFF/running partner was hurting so we had 2-3 cocktails in the hot tub. Took a couple hour break and then had probably 3 glasses of wine at dinner and another couple after. The rest of the night is pretty foggy..... :ohwell:

I've got to have 0's tonight and tomorrow. KY Derby is this weekend! Then a week and then I'm off to FL. And after FL, liver cleanse 2013 commences.....

Robin, love the pic!!!!! Hope you had a great time!

    Syd, feel better soon Honey!!!

Friday-10oz of white wine before left for the show. Then a beer before dinner, a beer and a margarita at dinner, then 1 red bull and vodka and 2 cherry vodkas and diet coke. Then 1 1/2 beers after the show. We were trashed and had some trouble getting up in the morning. No hike for us saturday. We did go look at the 2014 subaru forester then lunch at our fav beer bar.
    Saturday- 4 1/2 beers
    Sunday- 1 1/2 beers and 1 margarita
Not sure what tonight will be.

    Happy Monday

Glad to see many of you held up your end of the lush duties. :drinker:

Since my b-day weekend celebrations were kind of halted due to this damn sinus infection...the husband surprised me with a staycation this weekend in LaJolla. Actually he booked one night on Thursday for me alone..to do a spa treatment...enjoy some pampering time alone..then he will join me Friday night. I guess I will keep him around, eh??

The weather is supposed to be wonderful...and I'm looking forward to it since I've been pretty miserable for the last week,
I will try to abstain until then to completely recover from this stupid infection.

Syd enjoy your spa time- that was nice of your husband.

Hey - a question for those smart ppl on this board. We took our scales with us on vacation, I know who does that right? We figured the scales never get out of the house and might enjoy traveling...

Anyway we both seem to be a few pounds down.

Now I realize that the closer you are to the equator the lighter you become... Centrifugal force of the spinning earth and all.

However would that even be a measureable difference?

Is this even a serious question?

    Please give me your thoughts.

    Hi all....

I will start the week with drinks tonight after dance class because everyone is getting together afterwards.

So, I was taking to this Doc about a great BBQ sauce I use, it's ancho-chili-molasses-stout based. One of the best I've ever had. So, I told him that I ordered 3 jars on-line and I would give him one. So, after my IV pump training class, I dropped it off on the unit and went home. On the way home, I realized the name of it is called, "Rub with Love". I am sure his wife is going to appreciate that one. :blushing: I am sure that she does not realize that I am an old nurse.

Gary, I do not even begin to follow the train of thought there. Let me know if you figure it out. Oh, and did you really say "scales" as in 2.

Sydney, I am jealous  Your hubs rocks in the romantic department...hope you feel much better.

Gary, me thinks you're full of it!
the difference isnt measurable....but I suspect you knew that already. but you just gave me another reason to stay down south here in san diego.

Kim- forgive me the "scales" reference, you see I am from another generation. The same that still calls recording a show on a DVR "taping", and thinks thongs are something to wear on the feet. And why don't a pair of pants come in two's?

My mother used to weigh me on scales. That is they had more than one piece. I remember as a child her putting me on one end of the scales- it was like a teeter-totter. Then she would put bronze weights on the other side until the weights were equal and both me and the weights were the same height off the ground. I remember that because that was the same year we bought a new car that didn't have to start by hand-cranking.

Syd- I do believe the weight at say the equator of a person would most likely be hard to see the difference but I have heard that it would be most cost effective to launch rockets from the equator as it would allow for less fuel to be used. For reals...

Monday, 1 glass of wine - success

    ryzeman you crack me up!!!!

Monday-2oz of tequila with Jose Cuervo Light premixed crap....I always add extra booze
I do not have anyhting to drink in the house except for beer...which I try to stay away from during the week. BUT I may stop at the liquor store for a bottle of wine to celebrate my new car that I am picking up after work!!!!

    0 for me last night.

Kate, I use the sugar free margarita crap too. I mix mine 1.5 oz tequilla, 1.5 oz. mix, a splash of Fresca, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Takes away the sweet a bit.

I'm going to a baseball game for work lunch. It will be quite strange not drinking beer there.....

Excellent idea Ashley! I will have to try that in the future. Although I prefer to make my own mix with oj and lime juice but somethings the premixed stuff is just easier :)
    Have fun at the game!

I also use the premix margarita, but not the light. I use Sauza brand, because it is with sugar and not high fructose corn syrup. I cut it with club soda to bring down the calories and use fresh lime so it is more tart, less sweet.

    0 again last night...

Edited to add... I also use 1.5 oz of El Ultimo hornitos tequila, 1 oz Countreau, 1 oz. Presidente Brandy. No shortage of booze! It is the Chili's Presidente Margarita knock off.
