I did w5d1 yesterday, distance version. The best part was the drizzling rain that started just as I finished the last run interval.

Finished w1d1 today. I've completed the program before and fell off the wagon. Time to get back on it!

w5d2 yesterday- 2 runs of 3/4 mile with a 1/2 mile walk between, so 2 miles in 25:03. I felt good and am happier with my progress. We'll see how I feel after a 2 mile run tomorrow!

C25K week 6 complete! I'm actually starting to think I can do this. I'm no where near running 3 miles, but I can run for 22 minutes straight!

Ran my 2 miles in 21:58 yesterday to finish week 5!

Today was our Girls on the Run 5k. We had about 900 girls running the race, each one with a buddy runner. I think there were about 3,000 participants. I ran/ walked keeping an eye on some of our girls and finished in 38:39.

Accidentally did w3d2 yesterday instead of week w1d2. Didn't even notice until it said I was finished, and it felt good. Decided to see how long I could run without stopping and made it 10 minutes! I've found once I get into a good groove, I feel like I can run forever.

Yesterday's run was meh, w6d1- 2.25 miles in 28:53. I was running on the campus of our local community college, so lots of street crossings and changes of direction. Because it is getting dark so early, that is my best option if I can't run at lunch or get off work early because it is near work.

Restarted today, W1D1. It's the third winter I have done this program. I moved to the mountains this summer and was worried about running up the hills and running out of breath at 5000 feet. But, I had no problems today and felt great running all six intervals. All the walking I have been doing for the past few months was good preparation.

@jennybearlv There is the proof that walking is a valuable form of slow - low impact exercise that pays big Dividends. :) Pretty soon you will be doing the same distance in 3 intervals.

Week 3 day 3 this morning, and something funny happened. When I got to the cool down, I ran instead B) I'm not sure that I have ever run for 5 minutes without stopping.

Thank you to everyone who has done this before me. I keep trusting the program, and I keep surprising myself.

W4D2 - completed yesterday. 2 miles in 26:33. I hate running and this is my 3rd or 4th attempt with this, but I'm determined to participate in at least one 5k as my New Year's resolution. A lot of cramping up and stretching every time I started walking again. I'm actually looking forward to just running without stopping just to get it over with.

Week 4, day 1 in the books, despite the first hint of winter, flurries, -3 (-9 with wind chill).

My legs were cool despite the tights, so they will not cut it once we get into proper winter - I'll probably run through -20 and colder many times.

I believe they will be warm enough, without wind. So obviously I will need to layer. What do people use for an outer? Will windbreaker pants hold too much moisture?

@pdo27789 The tights I have are fine in the wind - Gore Model ??? & Nike. Maybe yours are alight weight tight or not wind proof - resistant. Maybe you picked up a Base Layer Tight as I have a few Fleece Base Layers that the wind rips right through.

c210k w13d3 completed. i hate running in this cold weather. i have to wear an extra layer and then halfway i'm hot already, but can't be bothered to take it off. despite that, it went great. it feels awesome seeing how much my stamina has increased in just these past 5 months, since i started c25k.
Interesting observation..Up until recently, the 5 first minutes of a run were always hard. My legs felt tired and heavy. Not anymore. Now i can start running at a good pace immediately, my legs feel normal.I guess my muscles and bones finally caught up.

You are correct. I picked up a base layer. They are warm underneath, but wind blows right through without an outer layer. Lesson learned.

I've ordered a windproof layer to hold me off until I can get to a running store. Having to rely on Amazon is a little frustrating!
