I just wanted to introduce myself! I have been using MFP to log food and exercise for well over a year but just recently started investigating the groups and community. My journey has been a long one and I have a bit more to go, but I am getting there! Thanks for having me :)

    Hi Everyone!

I'm Megan. I dropped off the face of the earth (really just MFP) for a few months, but now, I'm back and determined to stick with it. I've got about 150lbs to lose. I'm from KC, have a crazy, stressful job, but a wonderful group of friends (online and off) to help cheer me on.

    Cheers!
    Megan

Hi! I am Mishele. 36 y/o female in Madison, WI. I've been heavy my entire life, but made a decision to change that on July 30th of this year. My goal is to get healthy and enjoy my life more. I've been staying on track by using MFP daily, joined a water aerobics class, and I walk a min. of 3 miles per day on weekends and usually 5 miles M-F. It's working! I don't have to think about it as much anymore, just doing it!

    Good luck to you all!!!

Hello there! I am Cheryl, I am 28, and currently at the highest weight of my life 370, well until I weigh on Monday! I only let myself weigh once a week, as I will go overboard and start weighing every day.
I am very motivated, this is something that I have been getting ready for, for a while, now I am ready to hit it full force and not look back.

I am an admissions advisor at a university, a photographer, and armature graphic designer. is crazy busy working so much, but I am learning to make time for my health and exercise. My hubby is not working right now, so most of the stress falls on me.

I am working out at home, I have an elliptical I bought on craigslist, that and attempting Zumba, it must be a sight for sore eyes! LOL

Anyhow I am fun loving, dedicated, and so serious about my weight loss plan and life style change. I know that I can do this! I have a goal set of losing 200 lbs. My first mini goal is to get under 300 lbs!

Thanks for reading, if you are serious connect with me as a friend. I can use all the encouragement possible!

    Hi again. :)

My name is Kelli. I'm nearly 24, a semi-newlywed, and a photographer. My starting weight was 367 and I'm currently hovering around 301/299. I've had a hell of summer with a ton of sickness and I'm looking forward to refocusing.

    Hey guys,

My name is Kendra but my friends and family call me Ken. I'll be 23 on on November 23, yay bdays! I've always struggled with my weight and my addiction to food. I've been a member of MFP for a while now, but today I decided to get serious. I want to lose about 160 lbs give or take a few pounds. I've tried numerous times to get this weight off, but it gets hard and I quit. Hopefully this time around I can make a few friends on here who can hold me accountable and support me through the tough times. Good luck everyone! =)

Hi everyone! My name is Jamie. I am a married 28 year old female in need of support to meet my weight loss goals. I started at 354 and I'm currently 329. I've been committed to it since January but naturally I've had a lot of ups and downs. My husband and I want to start a family this time next year so I really want to get as healthy as possible over the next year. I log in on my mobile app everyday so if anyone wants to add me as a friend, please do so. I'm new to the groups and blog stuff, but I'm learning. I am from Pennsylvania. I work as Behavioral Health Nurse for 6 years now and nursing makes a healthy lifestyle difficult but I'm trying.

Hi =) I'm Candy, 32 years old, single mom of a 10 year old. I am currently at 306, about .3 lbs short of losing a full 30 lbs since I started tracking my weight back in April. I am striving to hit that 300 and would like to meet people in the same range as me, still learning and whatnot.

Basically, I got to where I am by dropping regular pop for diet pop and water at first, then counting calories, and now I am throwing exercise in there as well. If you wanna add me as a friend I try to be as supportive as I can and I will share also =)

My current mini goals are getting under 300 and conquering the 30 Day Shred lol =D Add me!

Hello, My name is Jay and I have been on MFP for about 8 months and love the site and the friends I have made. Through 8 months, I am down 110+. My next goal is to be down 150 Lbs. through the first 400 days. Then I will reevaluate. Happy to find the group, and provide whatever support I can.

    Hello Everyone!

My name is Patricia and I am new to MFP. I joined with coworkers about a year ago, but I was too embarrassed for them to track my eating habits so I never updated my Diary. I am starting brand new today. I am 25 years old from Texas. I love to read, dance (maybe I'll try Zumba?), and hang out with family. I am looking for a support group with people I can identify with, especially weight wise.

I guess those are the basics

Hi, I'm Angela and I live in Ontario, Canada. I'm a 42-yo mother of two girls, 19 & 17 and a boy aged 3. I have always been heavy and have never felt good about myself. It's funny, but in my mind being fat and 230 pounds feels the same as fat and 302 pounds. Of course, there is a huge difference and I would like to get back to where I could walk a set of stairs without breathing heavily and to not avoid shopping because NOTHING looks good. I want to change our household lifestyle as I am an influence and I don't want to see my son struggling like me and my daughters (who have inherited my crappy eating habits).

I will not deprive myself. Food is necessary for fuel, but chips are not!!

Hi all, I just found out about groups on MFP, and I joined so hopefully I can keep logging in daily and make sure I stay on track. I'm Mary, originally from Florida, but I'm now in the 'winter wonderland' of northern Minnesota with my fiancee. I've been heavy all my life, ever since adolescence... Which stinks, but I never had the desire or the drive to do anything about turning my life around.

Support is always a plus, and I love to talk with anyone to help give them some inspiration. I'm new to the world of losing and keeping it off, but with every small victory of pounds lost comes unbelievable happiness. When I found out I lost 12 pounds after starting my new job in late September, I almost shrieked in happiness and cried XD

I'm very emotional, but I love to be FINALLY doing something about my weight, so please feel free to add me, and join me in my journey :D I'd love to join you in yours! Every little bit you do to help yourself will help!!!

Hi my name is Maggie and I'm 23 years old. I joined MFP just yesterday and this is day 2 of my lifestyle change. I joined because I think the app will really help me think about what I'm eating.

    Hiya all,

I decided to check back in with this group. It has been a while since I have come in here. I have been so busy lately and I have not had much time for the social side of MFP at all. However, I have started struggling with my eating alot more over the last 1-2 months and I think it's time to get back into the forums and socialising on here as I find that does help me to stay motivated.

I have been on MFP about 9 months and I have lost 32.2kg's (70lb). My start weight was 148.7kg's (327lb) and my current weight is 116.5kg's (256.3).

Hope you are all going well,

    Alice.

If it helps, keep your diary private. That way no one but you can see it. I have a couple of coworkers on here too - but have specifically chosen to not connect with them. I would not find it motivating for them to know quite so much about me on such a personal level.
