Checking in I had a pretty great month so far.

  • Hello Ladies,

I would love to join this challenge.
I have issues with staying motivated to workout. I figured I needed to join a group to receive support and this seems like a great one for me. I know everything that I need to do, but doing it is the issue. I can get lazy and it's a bad habit to have.
I have started working out this week (AGAIN!) and so far, so good! I can't keep complaining about the weight without taking action, so here I am!!

    SW: 178
    CW:176.5
    GW: 156

    My other goals are:
    1. Stay consistent with my workouts
    2. Don't eat when I am bored/binge eat
    3. Watch my portions

Welcome !!! I would suggest that you find a form of fitness that you really like and is fun for you today, my fav thing to do is Pilates, it's my go-to, find something fun, like dancing or something like that, you'll find out that you can't stop doing it and it will become contagious ! I also set weekly fitness goals, and taking week by week seems more manageable you know, you'll do great !

I really like Cardio X and Kempo X from the P90X routine, so maybe I will incorporate those more into my routine. I also like Turbo Jam and the strength training from P90X. I think I might throw in a little dancing in there too. Thanks for the tips.
  • Welcome, Klb1002! I understand you about motivation. One thing that I try is to not think about all the workouts I'm going to have to do, I like to think, "Just for today". It helps! Take it one step at a time!

Thanks for the welcome!! I will definitely do the "Just for today" and take baby steps. It's one day at a time!
Today I am tired, but I will go home and work out before I do anything!

    Evening ladies!
First I'd like to say a big hello and welcome to the new challengers and that you are going to love it here everyone is really supportive and Yana is great to follow.

OK I'm going to tell you where I am at for the ladies who are not on my friends list.
Basically I have let myself go, gained 3lbs and eating what I want when I wanted because I got myself into a bit of a rut and was finding it very hard to get out but today I got my mojo back and completed my diary and exercised for the first time in over a week.
I have decided to kick start myself back onto my keto plan by doing a "fat fast" for 3-4 days so my calories will be as low as 1000 per day and fats will make up 80-90% of my intake, I've heard good things about this so fingers crossed it will do me good too.

I am a compulsive weigher, I do it several times a day so I'm going to take a break from it for a little while, I'll still post my weekly update if there is a significant loss otherwise I will leave it as is.

So goals for this week and next:
    1) Exercise at least 5x a week.
    2) Keep to the fat fast and low carb plan after.
    3) No weekend binge not even on my birthday weekend.
    4) Try at least 1 low carb recipe.

Looking forward to moving forward with you great ladies.

I'm def with you as far as being a compulsive weigher....I swear every time I walk past the scale no matter how often I weigh myself...I have go to stop that cuz it messes with me...LOL

I just completed Cardio Axe on Brazil Butt Lift....Leandro does not play - but the workout was fun! I really liked it.

I weigh in tomorrow. I don't know if I will have lost anything. I don't "feel" different if you know what I mean, plus I was just out of it for most of the week. I'm pretty sure I haven't gained but I love at least a .2 loss.

Angelh1908, we can certainly motivate one another. I was seriously slipping last week.

Hello ladies! I'd love to jump in and join you all. My name is Rachell. Here are my current stats.

    SW: 192.0
    CW: 176.8 (as of 2/1)
    GW: 155

Non-scale victories I would like to experience before June 21, 2013
    1. Be able to run a mile in 9.5 mins
    2. Strengthen my core. Hold a plank for at least 1 min.
    3. Stay active in this challenge and meet my above goals, both scale and non scale.

These goal will be challenging for me because my wonderful husband will be home Friday after being overseas for a year. Although he's not going to discourage me in any way, I find that I tend to get lazy and just hang out with him and the kids. I would really like to make it happen because we have vacation plans that I want to be in great shape for.

    Good luck to you all.

    Hey ladies!

Time for a check in and i'm down 1.2lbs!
I don't know what it is but I always find it hard to cross the 220 barrier (I've been here many times) but once I do I always feel like i'm on my way and this journey feels a smidgen easier. Then I usually get over confident and begin indulging but not this time i'm much more focused and once my birthday is out the way there wil be no stopping me.

    CSW: 226.8
    CW: 219.6
    CGW: 170

Now to keep pressing play next week.

Congrats, Serene! That is a great loss!

I actually gained 1.6 this week. I'm not going to get upset, but I'll use this as an opportunity to reassess what I'm doing, or not doing, and makes changes where necessary. It's going to be a great week!

Thank you I really needed it this week and now scales put away again.

Your always so positive so don't let it get you down. You've recently started Turbo Jam right? I know when you begin a new exercise the body/muscles can hold onto water first few days you'll probably see a big loss next week. :flowerforyou:

    Latest stats...

    SW 1/7: 218
    1/14 - 216.4
    1/21 - 216
    1/28 - 216
    2/02 - 214.9

    Down 3.1 overall.

The scale finally moved again. I believe it's because I worked out 6 days last week. I have discovered eating well is important but for me to have consistent weight loss working out is even more so. I set my Leslie Sansone walking goal for February at 40 miles and I also will include strength training and daily challenges. Everyone is doing so well...let's keep it up ladies!!!
