miss kim, those are some good comefucckmeshoes! I have a few of those too.
I can feel a vodka or whiskey night coming on. I've been pretty good all week and am ready to let loose a bit. Back and hamstring feel much better so will go for a workout to earn those booze calories.
TGIF everyone! :drinker:0 -
damn Kim those are some shoes
syd, so glad you are feeling better...now go kill it!!!
robin, your work situation is the WORST! Sorry Sweets!!!
monday & tuesday-0
wednesday-12oz of wine
thursday-finished up the bottle...about 15oz
There will be something tonight, i.e. vodka or wine or both!!!
Tomorrow, there will probably be some light drinking. We need to finish packing and get some things done around the house. We will be in bed super early...limo comes at 6am sunday morning to take us to the airport.
I won't be able to check in while away...I can't access the boards from my crappy phone!
But I will do you all proud while away!
Be good everyone!!!
xoxo0 -
But I will do you all proud while away!
I expect no less....safe travels...limo is SWEET!! Hope you have champagne for the ride & some heels
Ohhhh, Robin, reminds me of the movie "Office Space" when they put the mumbling guy in the basement.
Sydney...bring on the vodka :drinker: :drinker: burn those cals!!
Day 5, will hold strong and only keep it at one. I've tried that trazadone med that the doc prescribed for sleep. I don't know how anyone can function on that. I will have greater empathy for peeps in the morning if they've have that the prior night. I woke up in a drooling, foggy state and could hardly get out of bed. The ambien is so much better. I have to try and convince him to keep me on that.0 -
:drinker: Oh finally a group where people will understand me how awesome is this0
-
Well, I ended my 0 streak last night:

I detect a pattern here...
Diana, you are hysterical. Enjoy your wine.
Ha, ha...I've got the twirl down in bare feet. But, I think the bunny has me on grace, style and costume.
Ya, I think hubs is all about the heels today :bigsmile:0 -
Great thread! I wonder if there is a shoe for males that has that same effect on women?
Welcome Denjo- some good people here!
Have a great relaxing weekend all!
Oh, the rabbit and the pole--- love it.0 -

Not shoes, but maybe, wallets?
Day 5 - solid victory
Monthly total: 1 potent margarita
We missed our last monthly wine night. I cancelled the membership. I'll possibly restart in the Fall when the boring winter sets in.0 -
Good morning lushes!!!!!
Coffee and Bailey's and then a couple of greyhounds and I wonder why I have no motivation:noway:
Happy Saturday all.0 -
LOVE those shoes nisi!!! I have so many that I've taken over the spare bedroom closet and my walk in is full plus an over the door shoe holder :blushing:
Wine and beer last night while catching up on Madmen as it starts up tomorrow.
34 oz beer at lunch today and now it is officially sit out on the deck while drinking margaritas season :drinker: So that is what we are currently doing. I'll save the laundry and vacuuming for tomorrow.0 -
Okay so I was sharing Kim's shoe story with Doug. He basically agreed with me that Ron doesn't really care about what Kim does on the pole (stripper pole) he is really only going to care about what you do on "the pole": :blushing:
Lushy day and I had to share:bigsmile:
Have a good one!!!!!0 -
LOL :blushing: Doug is all-knowing and wise.
So, I totally bawled at work. If you've ever read the book "The Notebook" or seen the movie. That was my patient's husband today. He was so sweet, loving, kind and patient and she couldn't even have a conversation due to her dementia. She could be combative with staff and was scared; but, when he was there, all was good. To have a love like that is a gift.
Day 6 - still abstaining
Must get ready for work tomorrow - another 12 hour day.0 -
Friday - 2 glasses of wine
Saturday - Baileys and coffee (following the footsteps of Mama Lush)0 -
Starting the morning off with Bailey's and Coffee then I will progress to champagne. dinner tonight is steak and lobster and I will have 1 glass of red wine.0
-
Had 2 34oz beers at lunch and still feeling it but came home and did some measuring for the new couch/ chaise and chair from Restoration Hardware. They're such big amazing couches, we'll never want to leave the house! Also have some laundry going and vacuumed all the carpets, quite productive while buzzed haha. It was a productive week as well, garage and basement cleaned out, shelves set up and cabinets organized, landscaper came out and we are on the list for the year so our yard will be tip top in no time and we set up an appointment for the furnace to be serviced this week. Now we just have to have ADT come out and upgrade/re-activate the pre-existing system. Now time to relax until Madmen tonight0

Day 7 - FAILURE - I'll add later - but, I switched to water now so should be good!!
I floated to a different unit and it sucked balls. Med Surg is where most of the freaks go because there is no other place to put them and they should be locked up. Clicking my heels three times and saying "There's no place like home." ~~ Dorothy from Oz0 -

You sure have an interesting work environment. I take it the "freaks" are your work mates and not the patients? Oh, nice reference to the golden slippers and clicking home!0 -
Fri - a beer
Sat - 5 beers
Sun - 2 shots rum/ a beer0 -
as promised, many vodkas Friday night. up until 3:30am. i'm too old for that *kitten*! :noway:

Sun-3 glasses of wine
the back is much better, still not quite right but I'm not going to complain since I know how much worse it could be.
waiting to hear all the details, kim!
have a great week everyone :drinker:0 -
No Champagne yesterday afterall. Just wasn't feeling it. We did however book our Christmas getaway. St. Maarten on a catamaran yacht for a week. It holds 3 couples and a 2 person crew. All inclusive. they have a "noodle" bar where you use swim noodles and drink while you are floating in the Carribean:bigsmile: Is it Christmas yet?0

Sounds wonderful! Have you done something like that before? Looking forward to hearing more about it!0 -

Nope, the freaks are the 33% of the patients.
No big details - but, did find out that taxes are minimal to what I thought and celebrated with wine. 1 sampler, 2 reds and a freebie makes a toasty Kimberly. Huge, huge relief - I still don't like the government taking so much of our money. They should spend what they have more carefully.
Robin, I am sooooooooooooo jealous but happy for you. You can burn off the calories swimming to the bar - that is, if you ever leave.
Must get ready to go to dance class - the spending ban has been lifted, I think :huh:0 -
Mon - 2 beers, whatareyougonnado, it is Opening Day!0
-
Kim- are they psych patients? I know a lot of them get dumped on the hospitals. And your taxes pay for it. :grumble:
Had a wonderful dinner of grilled salmon, raw carrots/tomato/cucumber and mashed cauliflower. :smooched:
However to stay on thread topic, I had a tumbler of whiskey while bbq-ing the salmon. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
Have a great night all!0 -
2 glasses of red wine and I am $380 richer thanks to a winning ncaa bracket. :happy:0

Nice!! I managed to watch my Wolverines lose and not drink any alcohol at all! However, I am very, very, very tired today....  Going to work and then coming home and going to bed! Lol - have a great day lushes! :ohwell:0 -

Grilling at the BBQ with the tumbling sounds like a peaceful night and an amazing dinner.
Your right, there are lots and lots of people without health insurance. There are literally no beds in mental health and the ones are let go way too soon.
They are the chronic pain people who call every 2 hours on the hour for dilaudid shots, they are the people who have POAs that keep them alive for the social security income of their own, the list could go on. There's a lot of family dynamics in health care. My co-worker had a family member say they were going to come back and kill her. That was my code last week who went to ICU. She had no liver or pancreas. Ummm, it was liquor that killed her not turning off the vent. Geez Louise!
:drinker: :drinker: SoCal's got some drinkin' money :drinker: :drinker:
So, I went to dance class last night. It felt great to work out after over a month off. Then, my friend Celeste said "Margarita" and I was salivating like Pavlov.
I think I am at 7 for the month which might be moderation - but, definitely a failure at abstinence. Guess that's why I am on this thread in the first place :ohwell:
I learned today that my daughter might be going to Lexington, KY for a summer internship to work with horses. I'm sad at the thought of her leaving because we have been thru so much and are very close. I will worry, worry, worry. Alas, that is what a mom is supposed to do right.
Ashley, your in Lexington, right? Maybe, you can tell me if she's going to be in a good area when I get the details. I still have the right to snoop, I think.0 -
For the weekend, only drank Saturday...layed out at the pool with friends and had 2 mixed drinks that tasted like strawberry jello.0
