On the other hand little one is meant to be gaining fat stores about now, so don't worry. Hope the move has gone well, without being too stressful. The one time in life it may help to have the nesting instinct! Just don't overdo it xx

Due 12/9, 5'4"/ just shy of 5'5", Starting Weight (Pre Pregnancy) : 165.0 lbs

    4w/ BFP 165.0 0
    9w 162.8 -2.2
    10w 162.3 -2.7

    27w1d 178.2 +13.2 lbs
    30w 183.4 +18.4 lbs

Definitely over where I would "like" to be. Still hoping we can keep it under 25 lbs total, but that may not be realistic with only a 6.6 lb leverage and 10 weeks left to go. Oh well, goals are just that, a healthy baby is more important by far!

Well with the nausea/extreme tiredness and renovating a new house with no working kitchen my first trimester didn't go the way I wanted to. I have now gained back control as the cravings have settled and my food aversions seem to be gone now and I am now eating healthier again. So the last 2 weeks I have gained .4 pound, lost .4 pounds and gained it back again.

    Pregnant with twins
Cumulative weight gain is 11.4 pound at week 14

If I just listen to my body from now on in I think I will do just fine.

Well, that's my final pregnant weigh in. Baby boy will make his appearance Monday and apparently my too-squished-to-eat stomach really just wasn't going to let me gain weight because that's 4 weeks in a row the same weight. That means 22lbs for the pregnancy - 2lbs more than I wanted, but considering I thought at different points I was headed for 30 or 40 I will definitely take it! Watching myself gain weight has been emotionally challenging, but I knew I was eating right and staying active (2 half marathons, running actively until 5 1/2 months, then walking lots of miles each week and chasing around my 4 year old). I had to in the end trust my body knew what to do and considering I stayed right around the recommendation, I suppose it did!

So strange to know he'll be here Monday. I probably won't weigh in next Friday when I would have been 40w, I'll be just home from the hospital and still not very mobile, but I'll weigh in the Friday after and let you know how post partum weight loss goes.

Well. wasn't able to sleep becayse the baby wanted to nurse - got him to sleep and voila, I'm awake! So I weighed in. Haha. It's not a normal fasting weight and I sort of wasn't even going to count it, but...

    Week 40 - due date/4 days post partum - 164, +8lbs

So that's not bad, I lost 14 of the 22 I gained. I am hoping a few more fall off, I got a ton of fluids, but if it doesn't 8lbs up is really really not terrible at all!

You're all very inspirational! I'm 13 weeks now and back to my starting weight (dropped two pounds, they're back on now after two bad weeks of eating).

Am going to chose to be inspired and join this bandwagon :)

My first time posting in this discussion, but I read all of your updates often.
I have recently gone through some bigger gains, so I'm hoping to hear that a growth spurt is normal at this point. I have gained 5 lbs in the last 3 weeks alone! EEK
Ideally, I would love to have a total gain of 25 lbs, but we all know how limited our control is in this area!

I thought I'd add a little note here - I am moving to the post partum group, but wanted to say to everyone who is stressing over how much you've gained - I did too. A lot. I gained 22lbs and it came in spurts and waves; I had multiple weeks - in a row at times! - where I gained 2lbs that week and I hated it. I never restricted what I ate and actually stopped logging because my cals in (I logged, but didn't restrict) didn't equate with my weight gain - I'd eat enough to gain 1/2lb, but gain 2lbs, and then eat the same the following week and gain 1lb, the same the following week and gain nothing. It stressed me out so I stopped logging. I kept active - I ran until 5 1/2 mo pregnant, including two half-marathons and multiple smaller races, and then logged tons and tons of miles walking.

And today I am now 1 week post partum and have lost 17 of the 22 I gained. I have 5 left to lose. I stressed myself out multiple weeks and many times over 5lbs left over? Doing nothing special, not even able to be active right now because I had a csection? If I could, I'd go back and smack some sense into my pregnant self - so ladies, as hard as it is to watch the scale go up, I really believe that if you're eating right and staying active, your body will gain what it needs to and there's only so much you can do to control it - so relax. (Easier said than done, I know.)

(Easier said than done, I know.)

This really helps to read. About 3 weeks before I realized I was pregnant I stopped logging my food into MFP because I found myself becoming obsessed with my calories and the scale and I knew it was making my situation worse. After I stopped I noticed that I began to lose weight again...um...until a week after my missed period. :blushing: ...

I will continue to log my food now that my MS has subsided but only to keep myself in check and help me to make better food choices. BUT I won't get upset if I eat over my allotment of what I'm gaining throughout my pregnancy. The last thing I'd want to do is pass on my stress and anxiety to my unborn child.

Eating right is what I plan to do and let nature take it's course. If lost all this weight once, I know I can do it again as long as I maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout my pregnancy. :drinker:
