I ran the Gazelle Girl half marathon yesterday and have a new PR: 2:36:04. Over 8 minutes better than my previous (first) half, and I finished just under my goal pace (12 min/mile). Bonus for the day - I ran the whole thing, which I didn't do in my first one! Very happy!0

Athens Marathon (Ohio) wanted to PR and I did!! Just in the wrong direction....Slowest marathon to date! Bahahaha. It was a tough one, hot weather, headwind, quads kicking, calves kicking. I even had a side stitch, which is something I haven't had in years. 4:08:080

Some great results here, congrats to all.
I did my first 5k at the weekend. They posted two times 24.30 & net time 23.19 ? 24.30 is closer to what I tracked on run keeper.0 -
I ran the Martian Half Marathon in 2:05:02. It was a PR, and the first time I did hit an even minute (prior results were 2:16 and 2:12 on the nose) I wish I would have pushed myself an extra 2 second faster.0

Love to see everybody droppin some PR's up in here!
I got one too today! After two 5Ks so far this year in the 21:xx's I finally got the stars aligned and posted a 20:31, which is also a PR, beating a time I haven't been able to touch from last summer. Woot!!0 -
I ran my first official 10K today at 53:12. I placed 186 out of 872. I wanted to be in the 52:xx range, but close enough to be happy. It was a 36 second improvement from a 10K (practice run, and as indicated by my Garmin) I ran about 3 weeks ago.0

Yesterday I ran the Peach Jam Half Marathon in 1:46:30. Blew away my old PR of 1:53:53.0

PR a 5K this past weekend. Ran it in 25:13. I've been running for not quite 2 years and I am in my 50's. I started at age 51 so I'm happy with my time although it appears to be slow compared to all you really fast runners.0

Ran my second 10K this morning and came in at 1:03 and that beat my old record by 2 mins!! YAY ME!!0

Hey I'm Krissy I'm new to this group! I recently started running in August and am now signed up for my first ever half marathon this October!! I'm excited and a bit nervous because I'm not sure what to expect especially running with type 1 diabetes. My last race was the B.A.A. 5K with a time of 25:18 ranking me in the top 25% and 36th overall in my age division of 200+ people0

04/12- 10K (first 10K) 59:57.
04/26- HM (2nd HM) 2:20:32
I just started running about a year ago in order to train for a half with my church. Before this training, the only race I ever completed was a 2 mile run in 2011 (19:05).
Because of training for this half, I obviously grew to love running and completing races!! This year I'm hoping to complete a full. My times aren't the fastest, I'm just excited about my progress in general0 -
Ran Cap City Half Marathon this morning at got a PR of 2:08.12! That shaves 7 minutes off of my half last fall. Ran negative splits, and my second half was a full 8 minutes faster than my first half. I might have gone out TOO conservatively.
The results online say I passed 1,243 people and was only passed by 11 people the whole race. Awesome! That's the best part of running negative splits- I felt like I was flying by people at the end!
I think by next spring I'll have my half down under 2 hours. Next up is Columbus Marathon in the fall though. Shooting for under 4:45 at the full0
