I ran the Gazelle Girl half marathon yesterday and have a new PR: 2:36:04. Over 8 minutes better than my previous (first) half, and I finished just under my goal pace (12 min/mile). Bonus for the day - I ran the whole thing, which I didn't do in my first one! Very happy!0

Athens Marathon (Ohio) wanted to PR and I did!! Just in the wrong direction....Slowest marathon to date! Bahahaha. It was a tough one, hot weather, headwind, quads kicking, calves kicking. I even had a side stitch, which is something I haven't had in years. 4:08:080

Some great results here, congrats to all.
I did my first 5k at the weekend. They posted two times 24.30 & net time 23.19 ? 24.30 is closer to what I tracked on run keeper.0 -
I ran the Martian Half Marathon in 2:05:02. It was a PR, and the first time I did hit an even minute (prior results were 2:16 and 2:12 on the nose) I wish I would have pushed myself an extra 2 second faster.0

Love to see everybody droppin some PR's up in here!
I got one too today! After two 5Ks so far this year in the 21:xx's I finally got the stars aligned and posted a 20:31, which is also a PR, beating a time I haven't been able to touch from last summer. Woot!!0 -
I ran my first official 10K today at 53:12. I placed 186 out of 872. I wanted to be in the 52:xx range, but close enough to be happy. It was a 36 second improvement from a 10K (practice run, and as indicated by my Garmin) I ran about 3 weeks ago.0

Yesterday I ran the Peach Jam Half Marathon in 1:46:30. Blew away my old PR of 1:53:53.0

PR a 5K this past weekend. Ran it in 25:13. I've been running for not quite 2 years and I am in my 50's. I started at age 51 so I'm happy with my time although it appears to be slow compared to all you really fast runners.0

Ran my second 10K this morning and came in at 1:03 and that beat my old record by 2 mins!! YAY ME!!0

Hey I'm Krissy I'm new to this group! I recently started running in August and am now signed up for my first ever half marathon this October!! I'm excited and a bit nervous because I'm not sure what to expect especially running with type 1 diabetes. My last race was the B.A.A. 5K with a time of 25:18 ranking me in the top 25% and 36th overall in my age division of 200+ people0

04/12- 10K (first 10K) 59:57.
04/26- HM (2nd HM) 2:20:32
I just started running about a year ago in order to train for a half with my church. Before this training, the only race I ever completed was a 2 mile run in 2011 (19:05).
Because of training for this half, I obviously grew to love running and completing races!! This year I'm hoping to complete a full. My times aren't the fastest, I'm just excited about my progress in general0 -
Ran Cap City Half Marathon this morning at got a PR of 2:08.12! That shaves 7 minutes off of my half last fall. Ran negative splits, and my second half was a full 8 minutes faster than my first half. I might have gone out TOO conservatively.
The results online say I passed 1,243 people and was only passed by 11 people the whole race. Awesome! That's the best part of running negative splits- I felt like I was flying by people at the end!
I think by next spring I'll have my half down under 2 hours. Next up is Columbus Marathon in the fall though. Shooting for under 4:45 at the full0 -
05/03/14 - Stonyfield 5K (NH) - 27:04.
This was my first official 5K, so I'm thrilled with the result. It's given me the racing bug now, must find more to register for!0 -
I set a pr today at the Prairie Fire Half Marathon in Wichita, Ks on 5-4-14. It was also my first half. My time was 1:57:40, 2:20 faster than my goal of 2:00 and a little faster than predicted by McMillan . Now on to training for the full in October.0

Cox Marathon, Providence, RI - 4:13:29 Just an awesome experience for my first! I had a slight injury for the last four weeks of training, so I couldn't peak properly. Considering that, I am happy with the result.0

I ran my first 10 K race yesterday 1:06 was my time! I was super happy since this was my first 10 K and my last "long run" in training was the 10 K distance I did it in 1:12. I didn't run with my garmin so I was totally shocked to see my time was 1:06! I went by feel and felt strong the whole race and really pushed it the last km. I literally sprinted the last few 100 metres to the finish line. It was the most incredible feeling! My husband ran it in 48 minutes. He was hoping to break 45 minutes but had a tough race. He is super fast! My husband and I are now planning to sign up a half marathon in October....so excited! I have officially fallen in love with running.0

5K PR on Saturday night! It was a last minute decision to run. I haven't run much since my half 3 weeks ago and haven't done a 5k race since November. I wanted to improve my 5k time over the summer and hopefully get a PR. My previous best was 33:49 from a race in 2009. I finished in 30:15!!! I have heard many on here say that to get faster you need to run lots of slow miles - I am a believer! I have always dreamed about a sub-30 5k, now I know I can do it!0
-
Not a running event but a fitness test at work. 1.5 mile run in 9:10 ; 300 meter sprint 0:49 ; 25" vertical jump ; 215 lbs bench press ; 61 sit ups in 1 minute.0
-
Ran my first half marathon yesterday 1:59.01. My goal was to be under 2 hours and I just barely made it in. Benchmark is established, excited to see what I can do when I actually follow a training plan. I totally get why you are all addicted to these now. I think I'm still on a runners high!0

New PR at the Hollywood Half Marathon! 1:30:20.7! I hit the wall around mile 9 but managed to PR
1:30 after hitting the wall..... that's amazing.
whoops I meant 2:30:20.7 =/
Just finished the OC Half Marathon yesterday with 2:33:45. The port-a-potty line killed me! Wasted about 8 minutes waiting =(0
