Happy Fourth of July here at Amos Acres. Watched the Wimbledon semi-finals and then decided I should Move My @SS. Got on the home bike, walked both in and out of the labyrinth, and then rode the bike some more. Gotta get my mileage up before going on vacation next week. Today's total = 6.41.
July total = 20.27.0 -

So after resetting the fitbit (3 times) and uninstalling and reinstalling the software (twice) I finally got it to start syncing again. :happy: I still need to go into a dark room to read the display, :grumble: but at least it syncs. :happy: I guess I need to break down and get a new one. :grumble: Ah well, I guess as far as addictions go, this one is better than most.
Added 6.5 miles today. :bigsmile: Some of that was getting away from the computer before I did something I would regret in frustration. :laugh: And you know, the whole time I was out, I kept thinking "but what if the Fitbit isn't recording this? :noway: How will I ever figure out my steps? :sad: " I really think I might need an intervention here. :laugh:
Glad you got yours syncing again. I did all of that a few times and no luck. Have you emailed customer service? They're replacing my Flex at no charge and it was 14 months old.
Did 4.1 miles today. Crossed paths with the same 20-something shirtless guy three times out there (no, not on purpose) and he gave me a thumbs up on one pass. That was nice, because when you're fat and out there, you think the thin ones are wondering what the heck you're doing off the couch.
Happy Fourth to all! The walk was my break from watching the 2 1/2 day The Walking Dead marathon.

Thanks for the advice Kar328. I am working with fitbit support, so I'll see what they say soon. (fingers crossed here)
@speedy. Thank you for your support. I'm going to be OK now. :laugh:
Beautiful day for a walk along the bike trail. And a Holiday for many. So hubby and I ended up parking 5 blocks away from the bike trail - that was the closest we could get. Still a pleasant walk, even with everyone else there. Trying to talk him into getting the bikes out tomorrow or Sunday and going out again.
5.5 miles walking today. July total 31.5 miles. :bigsmile:

Still recovering so will aim for 750 miles. Will be away at the end of the month touring so final figures will be late
02-07: 55.25 milesJuly miles: 55.25
YTD miles: 6297
DCMAT - There is something wrong with the statement, "Still recovering so will aim for 750 miles." Most of us don't do that in a couple of months and we're not sporting a multi-colored ankle. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:0 -

@kar328
Each and every time I read something like this, I think of the following text that I red about 2 years ago, just after joining MFP. And it does come back from time to time on the blogs & forums.
A must read. Soooo inspiring and so definitely true! And just not for running or for sports. True in everyday life. Just sit back & take the time to read this... :drinker: I personally printed it and do read it from time to time. It's just a great reminder... :flowerforyou:

Also, please take a moment to read the author's note at the bottom of the text. And if you feel like it, the hundreds of comments after that...0
