    20:45 5k far cry from a PR but 1st woman & 5th overall won 150$ Whooohoo :)
Money is good, you can use it for more race entries

Exactly! Or more running shoes -- miles add up quickly!

Local 5k fun run. No chip timing, but I had my Garmin, and when I mapped the course on mapmyrun it came out to 3.1 mi. I was going to take it easy, but who can resist seeing how fast you can go?! I finished in 23:34, which is a great improvement from my PR last Oct of 24:20

Raced to an age-group bronze medal last night in the Cornhusker St Games Energy 5k with a 24:09 (got silver & bronze AG medals past 2 years in this event). Heat & humidity were challenging. Broke my fastest mile & fastest 1k records on my new Garmin. Not a PR and not a gold medal, but happy to have done my best and achieved something. Back to 50k training.

    Tijuana Marathon - 3:13:25

I wanted to practice my pacing for 3:05 but the heat/humidity had other plans. I managed to stay on pace through 20 miles, I decided to shut it down ~mile 22 to avoid incuring a lenghty recovery.

Hi everyone - just joined the group - been on MFP for about a month now.

Managed to get my 5K pb down to 18:04 last Saturday - good run, flat course. Half marathon tomorrow... :)

Half completed in about 85:20 - farce of a race - badly organised, but got there in the end!
