That look terrifying!! I'm trying to convince my sister to do the zombie one but she has just gotten into the walking dead and is afraid that she might stab the actors in the head.

I think we need a mini challenge for this week to get us ready for the start of the show - any takers?

    YES!!! Mini Challenge! Ideas?

I'm Ashley, I'm from Western PA where the old school zombies crawl. (If you get the reference)
    I picked Michone because...... badassery?
I cycle, sometimes run (also 8years of competition ruined some of my legs), body weight hiit, skipping, recently barbell complexes.

And yes I think we need a mini challenge ;)
  • I'd love to join the team if you'll have me.
I am totally new to MFP and just stumbled across this fantastic challenge.
It's exactly what I'm looking for.
I've lost 41 ponds since Aug. 5. Most of that was from being in the hospital for a couple of stints but I assure you I am not infected with the zombie virus!
I'm on team Carl cuz he's taking over!

Please add me as I'll have some questions along the way since I am so new.

    Ideas?

I'm new to this kind of theme-team ---- what are some examples of mini challenges?

Ooh, a mini challenge sounds exciting! I'm in! Since I'm new to this, what are some examples from last years?

I'm going to sit out the mini challenge this week because I am still sick and injured. But some examples might be something along the lines of walk an extra mile per day, or do 15 burpees/push ups/insert exercise per day. or maybe do a certain number of reps of something over the course of the week. So it could be to do 30 squats, 30 push ups and 30 box jumps between now and Sunday. These are just some ideas. I don't want to set a challenge that I have no intention of doing so does someone want to pick something based on those ideas?

I was thinking something simple to start out with - maybe 100 calf raises and 50 mountain climbers? Any other ideas?

    Hello everybody!

My name is Dazz and I'm 24. I took part in the last Walking Dead challenge and I was Team Michonne. I was also the only lad in the team as well, just to balance things out a bit, haha. This time, I'm Team Daryl because my favourite characters are Michonne and Daryl and since I've already gone through the first challenge with Michonne, it's only fair that I go through this challenge as my other favourite character.

I love just about any sort of exercise. I love rowing, squats, weightlifting, running, elliptical trainer, cycling, fat burning classes, dancing, video games and so much more. I also do a little bit of Zumba but I prefer Zumfit (look it up on YouTube- better than Zumba in my opinion). I blog about weight loss and fitness and just stuff around it too.

I love ANYTHING to do with zombies.

Mountain climbers done! Calf raises to go. I finally got back in the pool this week, swam my 7 yr old daughter's hour long swim team practice routine from earlier this week. OMG, I'm sore. How does she do this 3 times a week?! I feel like a mean mom now. I'm going to have to keep doing her swims.

Hi All! Sorry I missed the mini challenge! I am Angi, from Florida. And I love challenges! I will be your team leader for this go around, so please send me all your goals so I can start laying out the spreadsheets and then weekly, on Sat, I will need your totals for the week. Looks like we have a pretty awesome team! Some of you I already know, some are new. I can't wait to get to know you all! I am looking forward to killing it every week. My goal is to lose 10lbs during the 9 week period.

Hey all! I just found this challenge and it sounds like just what I need! I'm on team Maggie (Carl gets more love than Maggie it seems!) so hope she survives.

I've been on MFP for 4 years, lost all my weight then had major life stressors happen and comfort ate back 12 of those lost lbs. I'm still trying to accept that it's not the scale number I should care about but when you've worried about that stupid number for over forty years-hard habit to break!

I typically spin for 45-60 minutes three times a week, do Zumba once, lift three times a week (currently doing strong curves and really liking it) and golf as many times as I can! Our league makes us ride in a cart on Tuesdays but the rest of the time I walk and that's a lot of walking!

I'd like to lose 3 lbs during the 9 week period. Any more would be gravy!

Oh! I forgot to actually introduce myself!

I too am Angie from Florida (lol!), am 51, been on MFP since August 2010, am married and have two teenage boys 17 and 19. I am a DIEHARD St. Louis Cardinals fan so won't actually be watching the season premiere of WD since it will be game 2 of the NLCS! (I usually dvr it anyway and watch it on Monday while doing laundry-it airs at my bedtime and I've gotta get up early to get my lifting in before spin class!) ok, that's it.

I had given up on weight loss and was focusing on body recomp but then I put on weight! :disappointed: So I am back on weight loss mode. If I lose 4lbs over the course of this challenge I will be delighted.

Good morning Advanced Team! Today is the official first day of the challenge. The challenge won't be posted until morning, but as I mentioned before, we're going to start light with a minimum of 90 minutes of cardio and 60 strength this week and of course you will also get points for keeping within your calorie goals. And there will also be character related tasks based on the show posted with the challenge in the morning.

However, there will be no punishment exercises until next week when we announce our first winning team. There was an overall winning team last season who were promised a special secret power to be revealed this season. That team was Carol and the power will be revealed in the morning on the challenge board and will benefit all the returning members who were on team Carol last season.

So, enjoy the show tonight everyone! And Happy Thanksgiving to any fellow Canadians. I am doing my turkey today so you should see lots of turkey related meals in my diary for the next three or four days.

Your whole week's totals get posted on Saturday or just before. Just write it on the Scoreboard thread.

How I missed this show! That was a start worth waiting for!

Oh and I did the mini challenge. Note to everyone. Don't do 100 calf raises and then take kids rollerskating for a couple hours, I may never walk normal again!
