    @sufferlandrian - green as Kermit the Frog!

    @ scarfe - hope the massage helps!

    Hope you are all holding up to the challenges the winter brings! It's awfully nice down here in paradise. Rest day for me today but I'm going to ride my bike to the farmer's market so should have some miles to report later today. Have a wonderful Sunday.

    Question - what makes you get into the green?

    exercise.png

    The SHORT answer is....KEEP MOVING! :smiley:

    The spreadsheet looks at "Getting into the Green" mathmatically, of course....and how it does that is it takes your mileage goal for the entire month and divides it by the number of days in the month (in this month's case, 31) and then multiplies it by how many days we are INTO the month. Then when you have moved at least that many miles so far, you will be considered in the green and "on-track to make goal" assuming of course you continue to keep moving at the same pace you have so far.
    ======================
    Example:
    A goal of 100 miles in a 31 day month. (100 / 31 = 3.23 miles per day)
    Today is the 18th (18 * 3.23 = 58.14)

    If your goal is 100, you would need to be at 58.14 miles or greater to be considered "on-track" to make goal.

    The quick way to figure out where you need to be is to take your mileage goal and multiply it times the percentage listed in the green cell at address A1 in the top-left corner of the spreadsheet. Or an even easier way is to scroll to the right and there is a column that tells you what number you need to be at to be in the green and another number showing how far away it is. :smile:
    ======================

    Now the trick is, a person with a monthly goal of 100 needs to CONTINUE to move 3.23 miles every day or they'll fall out of the green and need to do extra to catch back up!! :wink:

    Hopefully that answered your question!

    Thanks Dave! I understand now. I'm normally looking at the spreadsheet on my phone so it is hard to see all the columns at once to fully understand it.

    Thanks again!
