(I went for a spanish flag kind of motif... the red and gold, which, also just happens to have been the winners jersey colours for the past couple of revisions...)

I goofed. I left the Lotta Jumbo Strava group, as i thought I would be on another team for Vuelta. I have sent a request to rejoin the group.0
-
yeah, that's another little job I have to sort out for tomorrow...0
-
No worries Mark, I got back into the Strava club. I just want to say before we get cranked up again, thank you to Mark and group for letting me join this wonderful challenge. This is something that has really help with my motivation, especially after getting injured really bad in my bike wreck. But I got back in the saddle, got ready for the TdF challenge and now getting ready for Vuelta. I am not able to ride the kind of miles I did for the Giro, but I will give it all I can and feel good about it. Its not the miles, but the the one common thing we all share, riding our bikes.0
-
I guess I'm riding the TDF Challenge again (see dossard). It could get lonely out on those French roads. Less chance of being collected in sprint crash so it isn't all bad.

Most excellent work TBY - thank you for putting this together for all of us to enjoy.0
-
Yikes, got me in the GC spot Mark? I know it's a pain changing dossards etc and I don't mind having the number at all but just want to let all my Pastana teammates know in advance that I doubt I'll be putting in the big GC miles this go around after only just being cleared to ride on Thursday. But best pedal forward and all that0

Don't sweat it Allan... this challenge is likely to be a much more low-key effort than some of the previous ones, half the big-hitters are on holiday for 1 or 2 weeks of the challenge - Me and a few others are still half-way on the binnacle list, and all things considered it was pretty much impossible to work out a balanced setup for all 4 teams - so I simply took the path of least resistance, and put people in where they were last time, more or less... I'm recommending not actually worrying about any heroics, and personally, I'm going to be happy if my team end up completing the overall distance by the end of it...
Personally, I'm just happy to see you're cleared to ride, and delighted to have you on team Pastana - and, I'll be just as happy if you decide to ride every 5th day out of the 23, just as long as you're not over-stretching yourself or doing any damage whatsoever.
Oh - and, in fairness, it's not COMPULSORY to go nuts when you've got the 3X1 dossard on... and also, years ago (2013), I managed to take the Red Jersey at 309

Glad to have you back Allen. Take it easy and work yourself back to good form. Better to have good health than big miles. Unless it's bacon. I could quit eating bacon and live longer, but those would be long miserable years without bacon.0

Thanks TBY for all your hard work in putting this together. I didn't happen to miss the posting of the logging thread and ride sheet yet did I... Sorry, I'm recently back from vacation and have been trying to catch up on everything I missed0
-
You belong at 301 on Pastana Allan, whether you're going for the GC or not. We're just happy to have you back in the fold and back on the bike!0
-
yay, looking forward to another fun challenge0

Going to try to get in a second ride today. I'll wait to log until I know for sure.0

Pie peeps. Miles in. Will upload as soon as ntnunk teaches me the ways. Let the games begin.0

Thanks again for including me in this Challenge, Mark and fellow Jumbos teammates After the past 2 months I've had, it will be good to get on the bike and get my mind off things.
A quick question for the (still relatively) n00b me - what do the positions in the team mean? Allen was concerned about being in "the GC spot", I thought everyone not the Team Leader was GC I'm also assuming the 8th spot (me) is Domestique, which I'm perfectly suited for0 -
I'm having a few issues with pasting the logging .txt file back into the other thread.
I'm using a Mac and have copied the original template into notepad and saved as .txt. When i paste the template into the other message is looses all the formatting and looks shocking.
Anyone else using a Mac or anyone else have any ideas on how i can get this looking spot on ?0
