Had a nice visit with my daughter yesterday and added 4.5 miles walking too. I probably would have walked more if I'd stayed home, but I had fun and she now has shoes that aren't completely torn out on the sides. (No comment on whether she will get rid of the old shoes).
March total 36 miles
Back to work today. kar328, I can't wait til the time I can say "not here" but that isn't even possible til next month. For now, I'll just try to keep a sense of humor and hang in there.0 -

3.1 mile 5K this morning. Did not meet my goal of under 30 mins but I don't have the official time yet. It was to raise $ for colorectal cancer research and they had a giant colon to run through near the end Going to my family's later for an early birthday celebration. They'll be away on my actual birthday later in the month, so we're doing it today. I'm hearing there's a dark chocolate cake with more layers of chocolate in my future. I'm blowing my carbs/calories out of the water.

@clepant - I leave in 10 days. I'm excited and scared. Wish I had trained better!!
I'm 2 miles away from goal - maybe tomorrow. I've had the house full of college kids home on spring break and it's been so much fun. Took them all to Orlando to Harry Potter World. Also to the rodeo, Japanese hibichi steak house, and mini golf. We've been busy! I'm going to miss them - even the messes in the kitchen and the endless trips to the grocery store. But my pocket book needs a break - this has been a very expensive vacation and I didn't even go anywhere LOL!0 -
18th: 4.3 miles purposeful walking - MTD 95.61
19th: 3.7 miles purposeful walking (into town and back), 2.3 m of very sluggish running - another bug from my grandson!! - MTD 110.21
@JTH11706 - you must be getting excited about your trip. I'm sure you'll be outstanding . . . . and have a fab time in Berlin.
@kar328 - well done on your 5k and fundraising - the giant colon sounds interesting LOL0 -
@Janet: Just go with the flow and enjoy it. If you don't set yourself up for a specific goal, you are more likely to surprise yourself. Of course the crowds will help pump you up and carry you through. We both know that the hours of training are what really stink.
March 19: 14.79 miles today of running 10.79 miles and walking 4 miles
First long run where I didn't feel like my chest cold was sucking the life out of me. I think my long runs are improving because I am finallyfeeling better and my stamina is improving.
