BOUGHT a 44" tuxedo for my sons wedding next month, replacing the 60" tuxedo I wore pre-op 18 months ago. It's time to rebuild my wardrobe!3

These are all such wonderful NSV. You should all be so proud of yourselves.
I was over on another thread about stalls and stated I hadn't lost anything since March 8th. However when I reread the thread I saw all the NSV's I listed and thought it is time to revisit you all and for me to brag a bit.
9 weeks ago I couldn't bike 0.62 miles now I am biking 5 miles. I had to use 2 canes to walk to my bike now I use one. Hope you don't mind.
I had to move my van seat forward because my butt is smaller and my legs couldn't touch the gas pedal. Even at this more forward position, my tummy no longer touches the steering wheel.
My pants are so big now that when I do walk I am stepping all over them.

YES! This one! My husband was doing laundry over the weekend and was like, "What is with all this wear and tear on your pants legs?"1 -
@krissymae88 First of all, an NSV is ANYTHING you feel victorious about. I absolutely agree and can completely understand yours. My car is the same way. And I giggle now as I clean it out and find my random protein wrappers and drink bottles. My car used to be riddled with straw wrappers, fast food crap, stacks of napkins...so I get it.
My most recent NSV? Not being recognized...again. It was actually very funny. I went out with my brother, SIL, and their employees this past Saturday night. I've not seen their employees since July or August when I was still at my heaviest. One of their friends recognized me right away, "HOLY CRAP! You've lost a *kitten* TON of weight! Keep it up!" Another girl, Alisha, didn't recognize me. My SIL said we were over by her, so I walked over, she looked at me, smiled and said hello. I said hi. She turned away. My SIL came over and started to ask if she remembered me when their spritely little apprentice (tattoo studio) came prancing over, "Alisha, you remember Eric's sister, Nicole!" She spun around, wide eyed and told me she didn't recognize me and I looked great. My brother and another employee, Adam, had been outside smoking and they came in to sit down. Adam smiled and introduced himself, I chuckled and said "We've met, I'm Nicole, Eric's sister." He smiled and said, "Really? I'm sorry, I don't remember you. I only remember meeting his other sister." The sprite started giggling, "Adam! Eric only HAS one sister!"
I like not being recognized. lol1 -
My Director, who hasn't seen me since before surgery, looked at me and looked away truly not recognizing me. She kept hearing my voice, but when she turned around, she didn't see the me she knew. Finally, I spoke directly to her and she was gobsmacked. For a full minute, she just stared. And then she cried, because she was so happy.
I'm noticing my belly pooch is lessening. I doubt I'll have a flat belly without surgery, but it's nice to see it getting smaller.
I've started running just because I can. I don't mean "running for exercise" which I've been doing for a few months now, but running just because I can. I need to get from Point A to Point B. If I'm wearing the right shoes, I'll run just because I can. I'm feeling very "Forrest Gump" these days.0 -
I just easily pulled on an old pair of jeans I haven't worn in probably 2 years and buttoned them, and I don't feel like I'm being sliced in two!0

Arm pits. They're back.2

"new" work clothes today. Down to Medium shirts and a 32 pant (wut-wuut?!)5

My daughter got engaged and I actually have no fear about looking for mother-of-the-bride dresses!2
-
Officially have nothing in my closet that fits!
And I met m son's future mother in law for the first time and didn't feel totally embarrassed by my size:)3 -
Hahaha Krissy!! I just did the same thing the other day!! Yay new life!!1
-
I'm thrilled about shopping exclusively in the misses section now - either size 16 or 18, depending on fit. It feels *awesome*. I'm mostly in XL, but I actually purchased a few things in size L and they fit! I treated myself to a nice dark/shiny denim trenchcoat (size L!!) for hitting a big weight loss goal and today I wore it for the first time. I was getting looks from people, not the "wow she's fat" look, but because I know I look damn good in that coat. (I'm tall, with an hourglass figure, so anything I can cinch around the waist is flattering on me--at least now that I have my waist back!)
Also, I traveled for work for the first time post-surgery. No seat extender needed, didn't squish the person next to me, fit comfortably in the seat without having to raise the arm rest. Felt really good.

All great NSV's here! Just goes to show that WLS changes lives!!! I never would have reached my goal without it. Like most of you I tried for years (decades actually) to lose weight.
My NSV is that I now stand in the front of the classes at my gym. I'm the one setting the pace and just knowing that I can do that (without feeling embarrasses) is awesome!3 -
put on another pair of pants that fit and my mid day they are too baggy! Gotta love shopping in my closet through all the "smaller" clothes I've saved!5

My company just changed the dress code policy to dressy (but not business) casual as long as you are not interacting with any customers. I have to go jeans shopping AGAIN because I only have two pair now that are literally not falling off of me. The last round of thrift store jeans are just too big now.6

So, I historically have bought the "Bath sheet" (65*33) sized towels, as In my former days, a regular towel would only get me 60% dry, and I couldn't get the thing around my body. I've used these (or beach towels) for the last many years. Recently though, I've noticed that they are barely damp after a shower. Also, regular sized towels can go all the way around and stay up.
I'll still keep my bath sheets, though, as they are thick and comfy... and already owned!5 -
I love my bath sheets even more now that they are super sized. They are also the newest towels we own, so they are still plush and fuzzy. The first time I used a regular towel and could wrap and tuck and have it stay up was a real NSV!3

I love hearing NSVs! I have 2 recent ones to share.
First, I am currently driving my grandmother's car since mine broke down. The last time I tried to drive it (about 12-18 months ago), I didn't really fit and I was so wedged in that I was concerned for safety due to the steering wheel not turning easily. When her vehicle was offered as a loaner, my family reminded me that I've lost 45 pounds since I was in the car (I'm pre-op, looking toward RNY). I tried it on Sunday and I fit!!! Yay!
The 2nd NSV happened at work yesterday. I work in a school and was make signs on a big dry erase easel we have. I was able to get down on the floor and get back up without help or holding onto a wall/chair. It has been a couple of years since I could get up and down from the floor due to a knee injury in 2014 (before that I still had to have something to hold onto to get up).5 -

And I can't shave them (women do that) without cutting myself because they're so cavernous and bony instead of flat and padded!

Today's NSV courtesy of my 6-year-old son: "Mommy, can I see your tummy? Ooooh, it's getting SO SMALL. How did your tummy get so small when it used to be so big?"
I really love that kid.5 -
It took me a while to realize this is an NSV. A few months ago I had a chance to take a job as a regional sales manager. I spend several days a month making presentations and exhibiting at conferences. I wouldn’t have applied for this job when I was a size 24. I would have been too self-conscious presenting to large groups and I’m sure I wouldn’t have been very good at it. My new job is challenging but awesome! Here I am at a recent conference:

I finished 3rd in my age division in the 10k I ran this morning with my husband!8

Size 10 Levis! Enough said!9

Went out for a walk with the family this Sunday, and ran in to a friend who moved away 2 years ago. He had absolutely no idea who I was until I removed my sunglasses. He is a doctorate in nutritional science and was the one who first helped me to start losing weight, and introduced me to MFP. It's always awesome to see a genuinely shocked reaction.7

Big deal! Legs are crossed and they aren't uncrossing themselves7

Love reading these. I have one and I just sat back and laughed at my husband. We were at my Aunts beach house my husband and granddaughter were looking at a reunion picture taken 2 years ago. My husband asked my granddaughter where I was in the picture. My granddaughter pointed me out right away. My husband said thats not grammy now I know she's in here somewhere. My granddaughter said yes thats grammy. My husband looked at me then the picture and back at me. I shook my head and said yep thats me. He looked at me and said "I'm so proud of how far you've come". I not only realized how much I have changed but through it all my husband loved me so much that I think he had blinders on about how much weight I had put on over the 30+ years we've been married. I'm grateful for his support and his unconditional love! Oh and I bought an actual large shirt yesterday with no X's before the L!10

OMG I just noticed we have a "like" and "awesome" button!!!7

Someone from work brought in some old clothes yesterday and asked if would I like them. Sure, I said. She gave me a bagful that I tried on last night.
One of the items was a pair of size 6 pants. I tried them on and they fit comfortably.
SIZE 6 PANTS? WHAT SORCERY IS THIS????11 -
Sticking to be active almost everyday. Walking, jogging, biking, hiking. All things I rarely did a few years ago.4
