Hey everyone,
I'm aiming to lose the extra lbs before Christmas 2016
I've been on 50g carbs only 20 from grain and the rest are complex carbs for the last 2 months, lost 14 lbs but I gained back 3 lbs.
Thought of creating this personal thread hoping to find new friends with a similar goal maybe and also to post daily to help me stay focused as I feel tired and losing focus and motivation.
I will be posting daily my "end of the day" macros chart, feel free to join me!
And hope it's ok to have this personal thread here

Hi I'm also wanting to lose my last lbs before the new year. I have low carbs in the week under 50g. Then i have one day set aside to count calories and enjoy the family with popcorn night or whatever. It Seems to be working for me. I'm 5ft 9 with about 30 more lbs to lose to reach 140lbs8

Great idea. I'm only 6 days in, after trying to count calories and exercise for the last f6 months. I keep gaining and losing the same 5 pounds so thought I'd give low carb a try. I have 40 to lose and my goal is to fit into my black lace dress for the Christmas party this year. I hate year after year having to wear black pants and a loose top. Right now I'm starting with Atkins induction so I have some guidelines to follow. , so staying under 20 grams of net carbs a day. But will gradually increase after the two weeks is up.6

I'd love to join but I doubt I'd be able to lose it before Christmas because I have so little left to lose, I have to lose slowly to avoid starving. meh8

Lately I keep going over 50g. I can't go lower than that bec my workouts are intense. But I don't want to go over. I'm
Ok with 5g over buy I'm talking more than that.
I'll be posting my end of the day macros chart to keep me accountable. You're welcome to do the same if you like or any type of post to help you achieve the goal.

I'm not rushing it either. I doubt I'll lose all my extra lbs before Christmas and I have my muscles to think of and make sure to keep as much as possible. It's more of a time frame. So join us any progress is great.3 -
I'm hoping to stay on track (except one no-choice day off) until Xmas and to lose as much as possible in that time. I also want to keep any Xmas diet break as short as possible and jump right back on track.3

I never had a cheat day and I do not want one. Took six months to get this far. I sincerely want this to be lifestyle forever. Try to always keep carbs below 20g. The ones I do eat are fruit and or veggies. Still no cravings since I started in February. Not going to rush it. Praying to just go with the flow!18

No one is rushing it. Just a support thread for similar goals. I'm not saying I will lose all the extra lbs by Christmas. If that the case I would have gave a certain number of lbs to lose. It's just a time frame.2 -
Macro split today was:
77% Fat - 203g
18% Protein - 107g
5% Carbs - 32g (13g Net Carbs)
I didn't do any exercise though. But tomorrow I'll get back to it. My usual is 1-1.5hrs moderate walking a day, plus 1 hour weight lifting.
I've been eating up to or slightly over maintenance this weekend because my brother is visiting. Lots of feasting involved. I'm so full. Lol7 -
I'd like to join you my carbs are under 100 but no flour or sugar. I have a two week vacation in there so for those 2 weeks goal is to maintain and I'd like to drop 25 pounds by Christmas. that would bring me to 75 and it be halfway there. I've lost so far with laps and aquafit in my home pool but fall is here so I need to learn a new exercise routine....fast!

and yep it's also low please no lectures, it's working great for me for over 2 months now, lots of energy and feeling great (touch wood)

Day 3
No workout and was out all day family meet up. Healthy food choices but I couldn't measure the food so no idea how much grams or cals but no bread so all the carbs from veggies.

Macro split was:
11% carbs - 40g (31g net)
65% fat - 100g
24% protein - 82g
Started with a new group class at the gym. It's an all-rounder class with a bit of everything, each day is different. Today we did spinning, abs, lower back, and I did some walking.3 -
Missed my workout today. Trying to figure out if I had "carb flu" or the real thing lol but not feeling great and very nauseous. Spent most of the day in bed, so besides my am meal I've had broth to get some sodium in me. Tomorrow is a new day. However I am incredibly proud I didn't give in and have some toast4

Can I join? My goal is to lose 50 lbs and I want to lose at least half that before the new year. Currently trying to eat no more than 25 carbs a day but going as far as 50g when I need it. No more than 100 on cheat days.2

Day 4
I was trying my friend's macros. I promised her I'll try even though I know fatty food or eating too much fat even the good fat might not go well with my sensitive tummy.
So high fat high protein low carb but it ended up being moderate carb, did something wrong not sure where
Anyway I loved the fact I wasn't hungry but I didn't feel well so I'm back to me own macros and being hungry lol
As for workout. 30 min mountain bike, whole body and abs.

I got my water in food good and my exercise in so all good on this front. I am .5 pound away from my 50 loss then I'll start counting my losses towards christmas goal.
not sure how much longer I cam get into that cold pool for exercise!

Through my readings. I've learned the best way to weigh in for an accurate weight without water weight is:
Stop drinking water, teas etc at 7 pm on the night before your morning weigh in

Macro split for today was -
Fat 63% - 101g
Protein 27% - 95g
Carbs 10% - 36g (30g net)
Today's workout was upper body, mostly weight training and then 3 sets of push ups. Arms, shoulders and chest. Then active rests with stairs, and jumping jacks. Also, 65 minutes of walking.
I'm getting a lot hungrier since doing these workouts. As much as I don't want to eat into my deficit, I'm starving for something by 2pm. And end up eating 100-150 calories over my goal.
Meh. Hope I get used to it soon. I doubt I burn that much with the workouts.
On a positive note, I lost 1.8kg (3.9ish lb) since last weighing. Yay!7 -
