Is this a monster cheeseburger...or a meatloaf?! Either way, YUM!

Meatloaf, I rolled it up after the picture and forgot to take another!

That would have been easier than how I did mine.

I saw yours I really thought it was rolled up? Next time I'll definitely put it on wax paper to start the rolling process, getting that thing started wasn't fun.

    Mine was rolled up.
The thing that looked easier was laying the bacon inside before rolling. I cooked the bacon and chopped it up then worked it into the meat before spreading it out and adding the cheese and rolling. I could've skipped that extra work. Lol

Honestly next time I use bacon I'll do it the way you did it, or at least cook it first then put it in, the way mine came out was super greasy, I think I'd like to cook some of that down first then chop it up.

@ncahill77 - you can cook it in water for a little bit, then take it out while still pliable, and use it that way to lessen the grease.

@FIT_Goat - this article made me wonder if this is part of why some folks feel Vitamin C lacking more than others - and why you've never needed to supplement when going full carnivore... Interesting, no?

Struggling with some insomnia this week. My mind wont shut off at night, and when I do finally sleep I wake up very easily almost every night. Not blaming this woe, but worth noting.
Hoping to find some relief soon, as being a zombie is awful. :/

I have some sort of possible autoimmune disease that causes chronic severe dry eye that keeps me from sleeping through the night. I wake about 6 times to avoid eye injury. It's getting real Fin old.

I sincerely hope your idea works, and you get some sleep. Sleep is the foundation in the pyramid of health for sure.

That sounds awful. Any drops or goo in the eyes before bed that might help? I had lasik a few years ago and had to put this thick goo drops in my eyes to lubricate them.

I doubt I'll actually drink. Been doing water (and coffee) and beef only for 2 days and on day...34? (losing count of) ZC. Dont want to mess things up. Just want sleep zZzZzZ Plus Im still experiencing some unpleasant bathroom issues, and dont imagine the wine will help there.

I'm up 6 times a night to reapply the goop and drops to avoid corneal erosions (a.k.a eye injury caused by its own dumb self- eyelids adhering to the cornea and ripping it off in REM) I've got plugs, moisture goggles, Restasis didn't work, so that's the limit of what ophthalmology can really do for me.

But I'm a selfish turd. Didn't mean to hijack. Nevermind my nonsense.
I'd say take some mag but since you're having GI issues (if they are the excessive output kind) increasing that might not be pleasant. Hopefully a relaxing evening, a warm cup of Sleepy (or other non-caffeinated tea) or beef broth, and a low dose of melatonin could help? Crossing my fingers for you.

It was a very cheeseburger day for me!

Lunch with a friend = bacon cheeseburger at Cheddars
Dinner at home = cheeseburger and a few pork rinds
Over the course of the whole day I've eaten 2 burgers, 2 slices of cheese, 4 strips of bacon, literally like 5 pork rinds, 1 cup of coffee with a dash of half n half, drank some water, nibbled some large grain Celtic grey sea salt and had some iced tea... oh and had some cream cheese blended with whipping cream and stevia and lemon juice that was a dessert I made for hubs birthday yesterday and I'm absolutely stuffed.
Feeling like a happy lioness after a great day of carnivore life. Though I guess the stevia and lemon juice are not so much the plan ;)

I found hwc without carrenageen (however that is spelled) at target! Previously I had to go to an all organic store that was way out of my routine to get some. Yay!!

At 5 weeks in zc, I feel it's safe to reintroduce hwc and trust myself not to drink both cartons in one go. I did however, pick up some ghirradelli dark chocolate chips and had a few on the ride home. It's my TOM, and I've been emotional and overwhelmed. I'm calling this a win, bc I didn't get any ice cream or Valentine's day treats or anything else that previously would have been calling my name from the isles. A handful of chips and I'm satisfied.

Today I'm going to a birthday party for my 5 year old niece where I will not be eating any of the carbage or cake. I just ate some sirloin to make sure I'm satisfied before arriving. :) I think I've just about got this working worked out! I even slept a bit .Ore easilast night.

Now if only the squirts would stop...;)

I think I'll try this for a Valentine's day treat, thanks for the idea! I also like thinking of myself as a lioness. But my dog gets jealous of all the steak I eat and don't share haha.

When I wrap steaks in bacon, I always parboil the bacon first, the steak takes so much longer than the bacon to cook,it just works out so much better.

I may have missed this if it was discussed already (I'm really having issues with my vision this past week), but here is my Q: With LCHF, macro's for me have been 75/20/5 ot 80/15/5. Do you think in terms of macros on a carnivore WOE, like 80/20 or 75/25? I'm thinking of trying this as my carb desires have been dropping. However, I am a "rules" person who uses guidelines to start and then tweak to find my optimum. LOL, I guess that is how I ended up a chem major. Give me RULES!! Anyway, could a carne jump in with an answer?

I don't know what the macros actually come out to because I stopped tracking when I first tried carnivore last year.
When you only eat meat and animal products, there's not much to log...
I do have "goals" set in MFP though and with my minimum protein the percentages come to 35/65

I think most of us only talk about it when describing it to other people, since a lot of people have a hard time with the leap from "eating veggies, too" to "eat all the meat," and we have to explain that you're only shuffling around a few percentages of carbs to something else. Generally speaking, as long as you're eating fatty meats, fat generally falls around 70-85% and protein around 15-30% by calories, depending on how much fat you can get your hands on.

If you want some rules for jumping in, I believe there's a topic in the Launch Pad that goes into more detail, but the crux of it is this:

The rule of thumb -- eat meat, not too little, mostly fat.

    More explicitly:

Anything from the animal kingdom is fair game. This can include things produced by an animal's body (ie - dairy and eggs, though not honey, because it's sugar and essentially just condensed nectar, which isn't animal), but doesn't have to. It can also include organs and bone broth, but isn't required.

Whenever there's an option, choose the highest fat version you can get your hands on. Ribeye over sirloin, whole milk over skim, cream over any milk, whole eggs over egg whites, 80/20 ground over 90/10, etc.

Eat visible fat, first, then lean parts.

Non-animal items are not considered "food," but some can be used for flavoring -- onion, garlic, spices, etc. -- so long as they're treated as such.

Listen to your body for hunger and satiety and don't try to restrict calories. This way of eating has a tendency to prompt the body to do what it needs to do to heal. This may mean eating like a horse and gaining weight for a few months, before switching gears and dropping excess fat. As long as you honor your hunger signals, you'll be fine in the long run. (Remember, too, that this isn't a crash/short term diet, it's a long-term way of eating.)

Thanks DragonWolf and SunnyBunny. My DH has really been doing this WOE for most of the time we have been on LCHF. My weight is stuck after about 40 pounds but he has kept going and is down 70 pounds now. I'm jealous (had to get that out of my system). I've bugged him about eating some veggies but he doesn't. I get my 5% carbs in with veggies (and some nuts). So I've quit bugging him to eat a few veggies and maybe he has had the right plan (for sure for him) all along. But it is sure going to be hard to toss that bag of brussel sprouts I grew myself last summer. But I know they have prime ribeye on sale at the grocery store right now...yum! Thanks for all your info. I'll check out the Launch Pad.
