Excited for this weeks challenges, hoping to get number 1 done tonight. I have asked a co-worker to come up with ideas for me for challenge number 3, having trouble thinking of something on my own.
Given that I was unable to reach 700 mins last week I am going to give it a shot again this week!!
Another great win team 1, lets do it again this week!!

The Amazing Race is definitely inspiring me to learn more about other countries' customs and celebrations. It seems that Valentine's Day is very popular in Thailand, and many other countries around the world !

Even though it doesn't count for the team, I am totally doing those foot massage videos.
I've been giggling about all of the brussel sprout comments. When I was a kid I used to drive my grandmother crazy sitting at the table and peeling them apart trying to find the part you were supposed to eat. I wasn't all that fond of onions as a kid either. I don't know when it changed, but brussel sprouts and onions are two of my favorites now.4 -

well here's my food challenge - trout fillet with chilli butter.
Never likds this fish as it always tasted like mud, however, this was NOT horrible, and i ate it in the tiniest pieces JUST in case! But it was okay, i would have it again but it wouldn't be my first choice!!4 -
Massage feet done twice on each leg. Will be doing it again later this pm3

Finished the kickboxing tonight after work, dogs came in by me while I was working out to see what was going on and I accidentally kicked Tilly. She wasn't hurt but she didn't come back by me the rest of the night. Poor baby.
I am with everyone that likes Brussels sprouts they are pretty good, I usually just sauté them in a little olive oil and they are good to go....yummy..was thinking of beets tried one tonight and spit it out they are so bitter to me I couldn't do it..will have to think of something else. Will one bite work? I can't stand smoked salmon I can get that and pawn the rest on my husband1 -
@ejdp254 - I like fish but trout has never been my favorite. Chili butter though sounds delicious so I bet I would like that dish. Good job!
Rest day from running today mainly because my work schedule wasn't conducive, but I did sneak out for a walk at lunch. The sun was out and it was quite nice (except for where the sidewalk was still filled with slushy snow). Tonight I did the cardio kickboxing video. It was hard, but went a little better than I thought. I lack some coordination for those leg switching moves. I like punching though! And then topped that off with reflexology video number 4. I think I bruised my liver. Seriously it feels good even if I don't buy the detoxing and weight loss effects.2 -
@katharmonic - great job on getting the kickboxing video and foot message #4 done. Ok....you got me laughing with the liver comment.....whenever someone mentions reflexology and are rubbing feet, I am waiting for them to say "Oh......my pancreas!"
@aenglehardt347 - Awesome work with finishing the kickboxing today. Your poor dog! Mine always come around, too.....one came near me when I was lower some weights and got hit in the head.....she just licked me and went away.
@mts7471 - way to go with doing the foot messages
@ejdp254 - that is so great that you tried something new. Thanks for sharing with us what you ate (with pics). I still am not sure what to have. I may try an earlier suggestion of buying a fruit I have never tried.
@Ingrid2017 - I love the vday pic - I think that is why I enjoy this race so much......we learn about different cultures and meet people from different places.
@AlethaMary - You can get the 700 minutes.....you are a rock star!
@junodog1 - did you try something new at lunch? I love Chinese food......it's hard for me to find something there that I don't like (except very large mushrooms.....bleh......I can eat them if they are cut up small).
@Vowder - awesome job with your workout earlier. I hope you liked the salad with bs. (see what I did there.....see what I did???).
Today has been a crazy workout day for me. I am in a Fitbit challenge against a group of ladies that win every week......so I did the treadmill this morning.....walked all over campus and on the treadmill again tonight. I also got a yoga class in today. I think I will be sleeping very well tonight.

It is so sunny at the moment here it give you a real spring feeling so I was an early bird this morning and I finished my kickboxing challenge.
After workout I thought you no what I directly do the foot massage and boy it was heaven on earth this is a real keeper.It was just I was in a Spa lol I took a half hour under suntanning bank( goodword????) and than a very hot shower ohhhhhhhhh my body loves me now.
So after this super kickstart I hope the rest of the day will be such that good.

I have the kick boxing challenge done! Rocked it last night and did some Zumba this morning! Got to work and couldn't figure out why my legs felt like lead climbing the stairs, see previous two sentences!! LOL!!! Hoping I can just stay at my desk all day.
Working on the second challenge and trying to figure out what to do for the food challenge. Maybe I will find a vegetable or fruit I have never had.5 -

At the lunch yesterday the yucky thing that I was offered was a mussel, cooked and covered with cheese. I scoffed and said "Honey, I eat raw oysters!" So still looking for the demon food. I'm thinking beets.
Trainings and meetings the first three days this week. Not a good few days to have time to add miles. (Sorry) Currently in a food hangover from a truly delicious Valentines dinner. Was it worth it? Yes and no. I really like to make my DH happy, and the well-marbled ribeye was soooo delicious.

Hope everyone has an awesome day. We had our weekly weigh in at work this morning, started it right after the first of the year to hold everyone accountable for their actions. It has helped us all. Thanks @MissionEnforcer @hawkins410 I don't know if I would have started something like this at work without all of you to give me confidence.
Now we all look at a little and steady weight loss is great and we are changing our habits3 -
HATED reflexology video 1! OMG, it took forever! Didn't help that I grabbed a bottle of lotion a neighbor gave me that was under the sink, squirted out a big bunch, started rubbing and realized it had peppermint oil in it. I'm allergic/sensitive to peppermint oil so had to do a quick dash and wash it off and my hands are still tingling! But it's done.1

Challenge #3:
1) I thought I would give beets another chance.
2) As soon as I opened the can, I remembered why I hate them. I love vegetables, even the ones most people hate. I prepared the beats with butter and spices, ate half of the can...the smell took over! They taste and smell like dirt (OK, I've never actually eaten dirt).
I offered the rest to Fluffy, who promptly spit them out (and I've seen Fluffy eat poop)!!!

My apologies to anyone who actually likes beets...I'm sure they're an acquired taste (as is dirt, so I've heard...).

I have white asparagus roadting in the oven with evoo and herbs de Provence. They smell good... we'll see in about 10 minutes!2

I really think these should be my "new" food... I've never had alternative carrots before. They look yummy!
However, I DID try the white asparagus. It was a PITA to peel, but it was pretty tasty. Sweeter than regular green asparagus and the herbs de provence gave it a nice flavor.

Knocked out the kickboxing today too... whew, that was hard!! But I liked it!!
Foot massage is last up. Would a pedicure count for this? It's a lot more fun to have someone else massage my feet and they are long overdue for some pampering!!2 -

I kicked Tara doing the kickboxing too! But it didn't seem to faze her. It must have been close to dinner time...she doesn't wander far off around meal times!
@Ingrid2017 & @junodog1: No beets for me, thank you! I'll be trying some kind of weird fake meat that my husband is making tonight. I'll let you know how it goes!

It looks like we are killing Challenge #1. I did the "Dancing" Option one time through last night. I sure don't think the one to "Saxobeat" is dancing! When they got on the floor, parts of my body were worked that I haven't worked in a long time! But their little dog really cracked me up. I did Jessica Smith & Peanut this morning. I love it when Peanut goes behind the curtain...he's like "I'm outta here!"
I'm super looking forward to the foot massage tonight! It will feel good to "take a load" off and get to count minutes for just rubbing my feet!2 -

@Ingrid2017 -I totally snorted at your beet comment! I think they taste like dirt too! (and I totally could see Bailey who just started eating poop spitting it out-although she did eat a pickle and a mushroom. Weird dog!)

Yes I got a kick out of the beet comment also since when I tried it the other day I spit it out as soon as I started chewing my first bite.
I have one dog that just took up that habit too, miss princess would probably pass on the beets but she likes carrots and oranges
Did one foot and leg each tonight for my reflexology. Will do again tomorrow after exercising, felt great since my legs were killing me from kickboxing1
