Welcome to the team! We are so happy to have you! Don't be afraid to ask as many questions as you'd like, as there is no such thing as a stupid question!

going on day 3 of no chocolate. That dark cho, molassas and nut bar keeps calling to me. I am catching a flight on Saturday so I plan to take it with me for a treat!
My dad has been in the hospital since Friday so I haven't had the time to walk outside or use my elliptical. He just got moved to rehab. I think all the nurses think I am crazy doing squats and such while I am keeping my dad company. (he is asleep most of the time) Hoping to get in my walk/run on Sunday when I get to Alabama. The weather is about 25-30 degrees higher at my daughter's house. She said we can go walk the Appalachian "foothills" .
FYI - someone has accidentally marked 150 min on Wed under my name. It wasn't me.1 -
Challenge #1
I had a lovely run along the lock gates.
I jogged 3.4km
There was a strong storm here last week so it was lovely to get a chance to run outside after being confined to the gym!
@MissonEnforcer1 -
Alisa, sorry to hear about your dad! Nice job on no chocolate for 3 days, I made my husband homemade brownies. I had to move them from the kitchen counter,

Todays workout Walking in the yard with my dogs and weed pulling. Started with a few and ended up with the whole side of the house, with the ground being soft from the rain. 2/5 no PM tea.
@Skipper111 Nice to meet you and Welcome to Team 6.
@scrapbookingmom2 Sorry to hear about your dad!

Hello team 6. My name is Lisa and I, too, have been assigned to your team. Last race I was captain for team 3 but had to leave early. I was not ready to fully commit to coming back to the race when it started up again in January. So when Clarice posted that she needed bodies to fill empty spaces, I told her I could help out and maybe redeem myself. I am excited to get back into exercising more and getting back on track.3

@HASWLRS Hi .It's great to have you aboard!1

I just completed challenge #2. I did the total body beginner workout video. My shoulder has been sore, so a video that didn't use weights was the right one for me.2

Nice job, getting the video job! Sometimes I have to modify some exercises,!
This weekend I'm spending the time with my grandkids. So I need to get all my challenges complete before than. My daughter has a pool so I will have to take my grandson, yay! Plus when him and grandpa watches movies, I might get yoga session in. Go figure, the weather isays, rain, rain, rain, lol
Btw, I made brownies for my husband NOW they're calling my name. Its because they're horrible brownies!!!!!!
Challenge #3
No chocolate
3/5 (wish me luck)2 -
You are brave to make brownies on a week that you're giving up chocolate! I gave up soda this week, and have begged and pleaded my husband not to bring soda into the house! My daughter had a little soda left in the fridge, and I made her drink the rest of it for lunch today, because I was definitely tempted, but resisted! thankful for green tea to help me get off my soda kick this week. Also thankful that I enjoy tea without any sugar in it. Wish I felt that way towards coffee. I'd probably drink more coffee if I liked it black.
Day 3/5 of going without soda. 2 days left! We can do this, Six pack!1 -

I'm not laughing Jackie but I know exactly how you feel. I have been known to throw "stuff" out to the garbage so it is not in the house!!! GOOD LUCK!

I live in Alaska and my son's 2nd grade teacher did the Iditarod so we went to Anchorage to cheer her on. It really was as fun as all the pictures and video's show.2

Starting day 4 of alcohol free! Normally love a glass of wine on a Thursday night so this day is going to be interesting!
Good luck guys :-D

@Tiffany7711 - that must have been amazing watching the start of the Iditarod - lucky you.
The giving up chocolate is good so far - I think it's the fact that I know I have to do this for the whole of March so therefore not thinking about when I can have some as it's too far away!1 -
@scrapbookingtm So sorry - must have been me adding those minutes on Wednesday as I am the name above you, and I remember going in afterwards and wondering why my minutes were not showing!0

@Skipper111 , @ haswlrs Welcome to team 6, Sixpack. I am sure we are lucky to have you and glad you could join us.
Thank you everyone for stepping in and welcoming our new members. Yesterday after work I was hurting pretty bad, so I went home and laid down and rested for about 2 hours. It was a much needed break. Part of me is really frustrated, I feel like I have taken a huge step back. However, I know it is important to take the time to heal right, and take care of myself. I am trying really hard to listen to my body, and not over due it. I had planned on going roller skating tonight after work, I cancelled it. I think it will be too much for me to handle so soon.
On the plus side, I got over an hour of activity in according to my Fitbit. I didn't make my step goal, and I went over on calories. Ugh. I should have no problems with calorie control, but for some reason I do. Today, is a new day.

Please, please if you can, update the spread sheet. There are 5 people who have nothing on the spread sheet. If you haven't done any exercises for those days, put 0 for each day. If you are having problems, please post your times on the thread and we will get them added for you. (Don't wait for the last minute.)
These people have not posted all week. Please let me know if there is a problem.
@gawworthington @ghizon @nurdette @MzHill08 @starjam25 @Tazieisland
Thanks guys!1 -
Hi Team, Sorry I haven't posted my minutes. I do keep track of them, but I just didn't fill in the spreadsheet.
And I got 2 out of 5 of the chocolate challenge done! It's a forbidden fruit thing, the more you can't have it, the more you do want it!!1 -
Challenge 1
I did the 2.5k frostbite foot race
Took a wonderful (cold) hike outside with my wonderful husband and our dog. We love taking long hikes, nothing like the sunshine and green hills to make a person happy!

I agree about the chocate, knowing you can't have it for he more you want it, lol. Today and tomorrow WILL be a test. Today, I turned 56, so tomorrow we're going to our favorite German restaurant. I already told my husband NO NO NO slice of boston cream cake. It's NOT like in my 56 years I haven't had cake on my birthday. Beside, I might eat the WHOLE cake, lol j/k
So far 3/5 no chocolate
We can do this Sixpack
1 -
Oh Boy!! Happy Happy Birthday @grandmajackie ! Good luck on not eating the cake for your birthday, that will be difficult, but as you said we can do this Sixpack!!
Hope you have a special wonderful love filled day!1 -
Hi Team... I like seeing all the enthusiasm!2

Challenge #1
I completed the 5 K Frostbite Footrace.
I ran (with some walking) because that's what I do 3 days a week with a group.
It was 25 degrees Fahrenheit with a wind chill on top of that, so I think the "Frostbite" part was apt! Tonight we did 7.58 K. (On Tuesday, it was 45 degrees F and I was running in a t-shirt and capris, so not very frosty! Did 8 K that night!)3 -
Just a fast run by I hope everyone had a good day!!
Todays Workout
Yard work 36 mins
Treadmill 73 mins (challenge 1 complete)
Stretching 6 mins
T 115 mins
3/5 days on my PM tea.
I will document/ spreadsheet it tomorrow.2
