    Hello everybody !
My name is Elizabeth-Anne but as I am a student of Egyptian Arabic, my instructor and Egyptian friends call me either Leeza or Aziza, as the 'th' sound is rather difficult for them to pronounce.

I have suffered from binge eating disorder since I was a young college girl back in the early 80s and I just turned 56 in Jan and I am still fighting with food, emotions and my body.

I have found that eating a fair amount of food either once a day or in a small window of 4 out of 24 hours has reduced my unbearable cravings for sugar, salt, white carbs, my blood sugar has gone down dramatically and feel better. Moderation does not work for me, I am not the kind of person who can eat a snack of 12 potato chips and be satisfied, it is easier for me not to eat them at all than to have a few and get that insulin pumping.

My college weight was 110 but now that I am a woman of a certain age and post-menopausal, I have no desire to be the weight I was 37 years ago. My small and hopefully doable goal is just to get out of thee obese range and call it a day. As I am very short @ 5 foot 1, obesity for me begins at 154 pounds. My goal is 150, and I have no problem being pleasing plump as long as I am not obese.

My weight has never stopped me however, I lived in England from 2007-2009 and walked 4-15 miles every day as an obese person, perhaps that is why I have arthritis in both knees now and don't walk at all.

Nice to be here and to meet you all ! <3

Welcome, I hope you find success with this. I do count my calories, but I am still less than a month in. I believe when I get more comfortable I will have more confidence in my food choices.

Oh yes thank you! Sorry about the confusion! I had posted a comment here but it was empty, so then I re-commented again.
I did see the replies on my other thread! You are all a very welcoming group!

    Thank you!

New here, and first time on a "thread" :)
My name is Angie and here is my info:
    Height 5'6"
    Age. 45
    Start weight 178
Current weight 166.5 (on week 4!)
    Dinner time is at 7:00.
The second biggest change I've noticed is in our grocery budget. Wow! I never realized I ate so much. We are a family of 5, 3 of which are teens, and with only myself doing OMAD, there is now ALWAYS food in the house. The super cool part is that now, with not needing such a quantity of food, I opt for quality; I am able to buy more organics than ever before. So excited

I know I can do this. My body deserves it! My meal will be before 3PM, because I already know that my body hates it when I eat in the evening.

    About Me:
I've been on a diet since I was 8 years old (I'm now 38), the first diet I went on was Jenny Craig back in the 80's. Ive only been a healthy weight a twice in my life and the first time, was unknownly and naturally doing OMAD during my college days, I was busy studying and socialising and only ate once a day. So between the age of 17-18, I wasn't obese. Then I started work and I was eating three meals, snacks and my unhealthy eating habits started up again. My eating consists of weighing, calorie counting, quick fixes, avoiding social events. Now, however, I know what healthy foods are, but I have issues with portion control, or gravitating towards too much of curtain foods. I know I was finally in trouble, when I gravitated towards sugar and have now gotten stuck in a sugar rut cycle. I have friends who have had weight loss surgery and started to consider this, my mum got scared for me, but I saw it as a last resort, because "I've tried everything". She's tried hard to steer me away. So now I have an appointment with a Nutritionist and I'm booked on to a Fitness week holiday, all pricey things I can't afford or keep up. But I searched weight loss results videos, then I stumbled on OMAD on YouTube and it seems like the perfect fit for me, easy, straight forward, very little rules, no measuring and I'll know it'll work, because I've done this before. I just don't want to reach a place where I give up. I'm on day two and already feeling the benefits and enjoying being released from my food addiction.

    Hi! I'm new!
...my name is Shannon. I am 35/female
    ...I currently weigh 260lbs.
    ...I am 5'8"
...I've always been obese. I got down to 185lbs a couple years ago doing juice fasting. And promptly gained it all back, plus some. I do enjoy exercise and have worked with a trainer for 9 years. However, I have a genetic condition which causes constant injury, so I have to be restrained when working out.
...my goal weight range is 145-165. I have never been below 185, and I was only 185 for less than 2 months.
...I will be adjusting it to suit my schedule. But predominantly I will be eating dinner as my one meal, around 7pm.
...I started OMAD on 3/27/17. After doing regular intermittent fasting (3 24hr fasts per week) for about 2 months before. I had no weight loss results.

I'm currently suffering from a sinus infection, and my antibiotics require being taken every 12 hours WITH FOOD. So I have been eating a 100 calorie breakfast with my pill. But I won't be doing that after my 2 weeks of meds! :-)

I am counting calories as well, though it seems unnecessary right now, as all my days have been around 800calories. But I don't want to stuff in more if I don't want it. My limit is 1,400 a day, so I am going to work on it! I am vegan, so my most filling foods are rice, potato, beans and legumes.

    My daily goals are :
    1. Eat OMAD.
    2. Eat less than 1,400 calories per day
    3. Consume leafy greens with every meal
    4. Up my water intake (blah, I hate drinking! So, this is hard for me, but I'm doing it!)
    5. Watch my processed sugar intake. I don't eat a lot of junk food. But when I do eat sweets, they really do a number on my stomach. So, I'd like to keep those off the menu for now.

Whew, OK, now that you're thoroughly bored... thanks for welcoming me! I am off to peruse the forum!

    Nice to meet you,
    Shannon

Hi Shannon welcome! We are a very suppportive and active group and I'm thrilled you are a part of it. Drinking water can be a chore. The first thing I do is chug a 20 ounce glass of water right when I wake up. It helps me to drink more throughout the day. You have set some great goals for yourself and I'm excited to see your journey. Start your own thread!!

Thank you so much! Because I've always hated drinking, I just try to consume a large amount of water-dense fruits and veggies to get it in! But I will! :-)

Hello, My name is Jennifer. I weight 221lbs and Im 5'1". Ive been on omad for ten days and have been losing about a pound a day. That is until the last three days were Ive stayed the same and today gained a pound. I was frustrated and sad because Ive been staying under target calories and not cheating at all. So it sad to see the numbers not going down. I watched omad revolution video on the honeymoon stage and feel better and also found out about this group. Ive watched almost all the videos and some maybe a couple times but I guess since this really is me, it kinda had my whole attention. I feel better about the plateau and know I can push through it and stick to the omad. My goal is kinda flexable since I feel this is becoming a lifestyle rather than a diet. So I always wanted to be around 150 lbs but I think I will wait and see how I look and feel at that stage. It is at the top of the range for my height that is why I always picked it cause if I at least could get there id be satified with making it that far. I am really enjoying the ease this omad is fitting into my life and feels like ive always done it cause im used to skipping breakfast and sometimes lunch and not eating until mid afternoon but then continue eating until about five or six but it wasnt healthy or even consious eating. I now eat at noon every day. I think about what I am going to have and make sure it has most if not all of the food groups. I stay within my calorie range and feel full afterwards but not sickly full. I no longer snack after my meal either. I also feel great during the days and sleep without meds at night now. I plan on using omad for my new lifestyle and continuing to enjoy the many benefits of omad
