It's April already. Holy Cow!!!! quiet evenings on the deck with wine. Ice cold brews of some kind after working in the yard. This is going to be tough.
So Epic Fail again on the weekend. My motivation is waning. I will kick it in gear today. Doug is in so much pain from his shoulder that he is really grumpy and that is just hard to deal with. We both can't handle this for another month so I hope he can convince the doc to figure out a way to get him in sooner.
Saturday I had vodka and wine
Sunday a bottle of white. and still under cals. no food so to speak of. *sigh.
Monday thru Thursday zero is the goal.

Epic fail here too. I ate and drank my feelings yesterday. It was not a good day and now I feel like crap from too much wine. Hitting the reset button today.0

I actually did pretty well this week! I usually feel sluggish and bloated on Mondays, but do not today. Yay!
Friday I drank most of a bottle of red. Eric had about a glass and a half. He ran his 10 miler Saturday morning and did well. The kids and I went and watched. Also saw the first place finisher. He hit the 8 mile mark at 39:30. Amazing.... I grocery shopped and got a bunch of champagne for a baby shower this weekend and also picked us up a bottle. So we drank that in mimosas. Went to friends' for a play day and dinner and were home before 9 I think. We went to bed shortly after, which was good, because if I would have drank more and stayed up late, I would have felt bad yesterday. Had a relaxing Sunday that did involve drinks and smoking a pork loin and a walk up to get ice cream for the kids. In bed by 10:30 last night too.
Eric is heading to TX this afternoon and won't be back till late tomorrow night. Last night I was considering being bad while he was gone: drinking lots of wine and watching trash TV. But I think I'll s tick to my original plan of eating really well, not drinking, but still watching trash TV. So let's see if I can stay strong the next two nights. Having both kids solo may drive me to drink.... You never know.0 -
Happy April everyone :drinker:0

Weekend was pretty fun!
Friday, we went to the Adam Sandler show. 7
Saturday, we walked to the aquarium, had lunch and took the bus back. I have not idea how many drinks
Sunday, we went to the beach. Again no idea how many, but we went to bed early so I don't feel too terrible!
Monday-00 -
Well, I caved and drank a bottle of wine. Sat outside with the kids and enjoyed some cold white. My daughter told me I was being nicer. Maybe that means I should drink more! Not sure about tonight. It's going to be really nice again so I may have a drink or two....0
-
Vodka was had last night. Followed by too much popcorn. Dammit.0
-
Lushed it up over the weekend but managed a zero last night. Hope to tonight as well!
Meg- Vodka and popcorn
YUM! :drinker:0 -

Lenny and I have decided not to eat out until his parents get here on the 23rd......we are allowing for a happy hour here or there, but our dining out habits have gotten out of control...too much $$$$ being spent!!!1 -
No zeros here this week - at the cabin.0
-
Monday 0 no dreadmill. I am a lazy slug.0
-
Man I am on a terrible streak for the last few days. "Dinner" last night was wine and peanuts. WTH Meg get a grip on yourself. Zeroes for today and tomorrow for sure, at the very least. Get your crap together, girl.0
-
I managed a 0 last night but that made up for the bottle of wine I drank on Monday after my son's car died.
New car for me most likely, he'll get my old car. In the meantime my MILs procedure is tomorrow morning. We should know more about her cancer after that.
I'm going to try to get some exercise in. I'm up a couple of pounds0 -
SMOOCHES Sydney! Wishing the best for MIL.
Meg, I bet your cals have been relatively low, though, right??

Kate - noooooo because I get tipsy and then I stop caring about food cals, plus the booze cals so... and now I'm bloated as hell because of the booze too which makes the scale go up which makes me feel booooooooooo which makes me want to eat comfort food which makes me... well you get the point.0
-
YES Meg, I get it....oh boy do I get it!!!!!
I am trying to ignore my "it's Wednesday night, let's get a drink" urges......1 -
I've pretty much had a bottle of wine plus every night this week. But the good news is I ate very small dinners. Typically I DON'T eat when I drink a lot. I'll tend to skip dinner or just eat snacks for dinner. I lost 1.5 pounds this week, which is one I gained last week, but I feel like I may be making progress. So I want to keep it going! I need a 0 tonight. I'm hangin a little today. We ended up going to our neighbors' till about 11ish and I drank a lot of red wine. Crazy how different I feel drinking red wine vs. white or rose'. It just makes me feel bad....0
-
I'm the opposite, white or rose makes me feel worse. I think it's the higher sugar maybe? Plus I tend to sip red wine slower.
Car shopping today after the cystoscopy. I'm dreading both so I'm sure there will be wine.0 -
So Tuesday was a bottle of white. Last night I borrowed a page from Meg's playbook and dinner was vodka and pistachios. Not a good week for me. I will try to get back on track.
What kind of car are you going to shop for Syd?
Ashley good on the loss.
Way to rock the zero's Kate.
Until tomorrow, Lush on.0 -
Thanks Robin!

Thursday-I have an open bottle of white in the fridge so I will probably polish that off tonight. Lenny is going to a town hall meeting in Hana so he won't be home until well after 10. Just me and my kittens drinking wine and watching Chef's Table....I am a little excited
Have a great day!0 -
I've never heard of Chef's Table. I'm going to have to make that my new show. A couple of my friends were talking about how they like Pretty Little Liars. I watched the pilot episode and it just annoyed me.....0
-
Ash, Chef's Table is a Netflix documentary, they have a "France" addition now. I love the concept of interviewing chef's and finding how their cuisine evolved! I also do love competition based cooking...Top Chef is my FAV!0
-
Better Call Saul starts up again on Monday. If you were a Breaking Bad fan...I highly recommend it.
Shopping for cars really sucks. I ended up with a BMW X1...I was ready to downsize after driving a 4 Runner. It's got all the bells and whistles which I haven't a clue about. Having a car payment sucks but we may pay it off in the next few months after things settle down.
MIL's procedure went fine. Basically the Dr confirmed what we already knew...the size of the tumor, etc (size of a walnut). Surgery to be scheduled...looks like 1st availability is early May. It's a fairly easy surgery which is great since she's 92. No cutting. 1 night over in the hospital is all hopefully...unless once he goes in there he finds more of a mess.
The wine is already poured. Long day. :drinker:0 -
Top Chef is one of my favs too!
We are in the second season of Breaking Bad and just met Saul a couple episodes ago. We'll have to check that one out too.
Glad the dr appointment went well Syd.
I drank last night again. Eric called me at 4:15 leaving downtown (I work about a mile from downtown) and wanted to meet for drinks. So we did and ended up just having small plates at the bar and 2 glasses of wine. Naturally I opened a bottle when we got home and had 2 more glasses. At least I'm consistent.0 -
Did well moderating this week with a zero M, 2 beers T, 0 Wed, 2 beers Th, and a 0 tonight. Unfortunately my eating increased to make up for the lack of booze calories.
Wind storm predicted for today, the lights are already flickering. Have a great weekend all!0 -
Lushy weekend. Friday we went down to the neighbors' for a bonfire. Not sure what time we went to sleep, but I had 500 steps on my FitBit when I got up Saturday. Saturday I had a couple drinks at a festival, then took a break while getting ready for dinner. We had a private room at a fancy restaurant for a friend's 40th birthday party, complete with our own very attentive server. She just kept bringing me glasses of wine. Our bill was over $200 for 2 of us! Then we went to a bar and didn't get home till after midnight. Yesterday I had mimosas at a baby shower, finished off the jug at home while cleaning my car, and then had a beer but quit drinking because I was just tired.
Tonight will be a 0
Tuesday we're going to a baseball games, so will have a couple beers
Not sure about Wednesday
Thursday a friend is coming in from St. Louis so we'll be drinking
Friday parents come in town
Saturday is a birthday party
Sunday is Easter.
So basically I may get one zero. I would like to try to regulate a little better. I drank pretty excessively last week..... Have a great week!0 -
Not a good weekend. Doug is in so much pain it makes him awful to be around. I love him but I don't like being around him right now. I finally broke down because of all the stress around me. I made Washington red apples to make me feel spoiled and I drank way to much. They sure were good though. I am still really watching the eating though so I am not gaining but the losing slowed down. Have a great week lushes.
I am a tv food comp junkie. Top Chef is still the best but I love Hell's Kitchen and Master chef too.0 -
Robin, tell Doug to consider a cortisone shot. It might make both your lives more bearable. When is surgery?
Pretty quiet weekend which was much needed. Exercised and ate pretty well. Drank moderately.
Going to try to drop these 2 pounds I've gained before going on a much needed bday getaway in 2 weeks.0 -
Weekend was great!!! Played hooky form work cause I went to bed WAY to late Thursday and was super hungover!!!
Monday-Wednesday: 0
Thursday-white wine and bourbon----don't ask how much
Friday-like 11ish
Saturday-we walked to get our hair cut, went to grab a beer and some lunch, then went to get a shot at the bar next door and ended up staying out until 830pm....we left the house at 915am....holy moly, but we had a lot of fun!!! Who know's how many drinks.
Sunday-caught up with my family, did some chores and relaxed!!! 5 drinks
I am really feeling like I could have a drink tonight but probably shouldn't.....stay tuned??!!!!0 -
Monday - a cider and 3 cocktails.
Eric's Mondays are always super stressful so he always want a beer so I partook too. Then our neighbors came down to see our new landscape lighting. I was in bed by 11. So not too bad. So much for a 0 this week.....0 -
Drinks Thu, Fri & Sat. Zeroes Sun & Mon. Goal for this week is to keep zeroes through to Friday and do my 30 min of yoga each morning... 2 down, 3 to go...
Robin - vodka and pistachios sounds like a nice, balanced dinner to me! Fats, proteins and carbs, nailed.0
