@clepant - I must confess that I don't enter a race for racing sake.... it's about having something to aim for (like finishing without getting broken and not coming last LOL). It's fab and fun, and usually a social activity with my running club.
@Leanz - hope things .... end up where you want them to be, with an ankle that doesn't hurt too much
@JTH1706 - thank you, your words are always very encouraging
@clepant - Ronan is adorable
@taxmom9093 - you're an unsung heroine. Accountant friends in the U.K. struggle to hang onto their sanity too at this time of year (last minute clients etc!!)

@k80flec: I am with you. I enter races purely as a form of motivation to get me to the start. I trained for months for this half marathon but I won't be doing it. But in reality I did it already. If I never race again, it will be okay. I will have other goals to keep me going.
@cpanus: Ronan is adorable! Love the photo.
Another run today without pain and my time improved. It was such a blessing to just do it and not wait for the pain to start. Did two cardiac hills too....yep, it was a good run.
April: 17: Adding 12.5 miles of walking 4.5 miles, running 3 miles and cycling 5 miles.

All of your *kitten* moving has me jealous! I have gotten in 21 miles from ex bike since posting last. I go to the city for an ortho appointment Fri & get a MRI. But as for now I had an xray that revealed I have a very good knee & nothing is broken ( in which I knew it wasn't but they make you do it before an MRI) got a really supportive brace & to continue to use the crutches that I had from my husbands previous accident. I'm going to hit my goal before going on Friday so "if" they do some type of surgery & they tell me no type of physical movement for awhile.

@vhuber - wishing for the best at your MRI. Keep us posted.
@clepant - glad you had a good run and really glad the pain hasn't returned.
@cpanus - off the top of the cuteness scale!
My half marathon is just under two weeks away now. I wanted to do one more long run but it is much too warm here (80F) to even think about a tempo run. Instead, I decided to just go long and slow. So I ran a 13 min/mile pace for 12 miles with several extended air conditioning breaks to make sure I didn't get heat stroke. Really pleased that my hip and hamstring that was sore after my last long run had no pain at all. I guess the daily stretching is helping! Maybe a few short quick runs left but this is pretty much as ready as I'm going to be. Here's hoping the cooler temperatures up north where the race is being held will give me a big boost in my pace.
Oh and that puts me at goal! 79/753 -

@vhuber - hope the MRI reveals the problem. There is wisdom in trying to reach goal 'just in case' - HOWEVER don't make it worse!!
@JTH11706 - I've got a 10k that weekend .... I'm looking forward to it.1 -
